The Unterdorf restaurant is a traditional pub and fits very well into the old core of Zurich-Affoltern. The staff always tries to do their best and is very friendly, as you would hope. The restaurant can be easily reached by public transport, S 6 or 21 to Zurich Affoltern train station, or by VBZ bus line 61 or 62. Free parking spaces are available for cars. In summer the beautiful garden is a must.

We were here today for the first time, but definitely not the last. Very friendly service and fine dishes. The mixed salad and the homemade salad dressing are very tasty. There is fresh bread, not dried out bread like in many places. The nut salad with crispy slices of bacon was also very tasty. We'll definitely eat the Rösti with tomatoes and cheese gratin and the Wiener Schnitzel with vegetables and fries again! Great value for money! See you soon

The Unterdorf is our “village pub” in Zurich Affoltern, with excellent home-style cuisine. The service is extremely courteous and meets special requests in a friendly and quick manner, even when the house is full. We have a diabetic child and have never had such kind help with quantities and nutritional values!

Amazing good, atmosphere, and great service! We’re helped by the owner Sandra as we don’t speak German. She was very helpful and very nice. Would highly recommend if you’re ever in need. It was a more local place and was sensibly priced.

We've had several different meals here and it's always been a great experience. We just had Rehrucken from their Autumn menu and it was perfect. It was delicious, perfectly cooked and presented. The service was excellent, discrete, attentive and friendly. Thank you to all who made our night out for dinner such a lovely one. We'll be back.

The UD is by far my favorite restaurant in Zurich. The food is excellent, the garden is incredibly cozy and the staff are always very friendly. The landlady makes you feel at home every time. And whether it's for dinner or just a quick beer, I'm always happy to come by. An absolute oasis and worth a visit.

food and service tip top only conjecture: There were three of us and we paid about 200 chf and had to pay for it 2 portions of butter for Tatar pay 80 centimes each😩 It was actually supposed to be with tartare add enough butter.

Very fine restaurant with home-style Swiss cuisine. Seasonal, fresh produce from local farmers and butchers. Very friendly and attentive staff. Free parking spaces in front of the house. Garden seating area for a cozy visit when the weather is nice. The price is rather high but you get very good quality. Always great again.

We were allowed on September 3rd. celebrate the 90th birthday in the lower village. Everything worked out perfectly, including the access and the organization of 2-3 parking spaces so that we could drive in, as the Unterdorf festival was still taking place at the same time. The food was very tasty, the service was very accommodating and friendly. I would also like to thank Sandra & the team once again on behalf of my father. We can highly recommend the Unterdorf business.
