WoW (Waffle of Wonder) in Genève

The staff is adorable and attentive to any requests you may make (preferences, allergies, etc.). The products (salmon, meat, eggs, avocado, etc.) are of good quality and very fresh. The waffles are very good. We took the large formula (sweet and savory waffle + hot drink + fruit salad + fruit juice) and arrived at the end of the meal without problem. The quantities are well calculated! Finally, the decoration of the place is quite refined and sparkling. Very nice place. NB: There is a discount for students.

We came this morning and absolutely everything was delicious, from savory to sweet!

This last Sunday I had a very bad experience in your restaurant. One of your waitresses refused to let us sit inside to eat. Under the pretext that the restaurant closed at 6 p.m. unexpectedly. However, no indications were noted anywhere and it was 5:30 p.m. Seats were empty at the back and were not reserved. I am reporting this incident because I believe it is important that the person managing this business is kept informed.

This Sunday, my colleagues and I decided to treat ourselves to a friendly break by going to enjoy a waffle at Wow waffle Plainpalais, around 5:25 p.m. We took care to check the announced closing time at 6:30 p.m. on Google, thus ensuring we had plenty of time for our visit. When we arrived, we were informed that the restaurant was full. Although disappointed, we opted for a take-out order. However, noting that the room was half empty, I asked a waitress about the possibility of sitting down for a few moments to eat there. His response, not only surprising but also delivered in a tone that I perceived as haughty, was that the restaurant would exceptionally close at 6 p.m. It was barely 5:30 p.m. we had plenty of time to eat a waffle there. To my amazement, she added, in a dismissive tone, that if it didn't suit me, I could come and clean the restaurant for her. This interaction was all the more frustrating because no notice had been posted on the restaurant door or mentioned on Google regarding this anticipated schedule change. As a customer and business owner in the area for 15 years, I am deeply disappointed by this experience. I understand that exceptional circumstances may require adjustments, but communication and welcome must remain professional and courteous. The behavior of the waitress and the lack of transparency regarding hours not only ruined our experience but also tarnished the image of this (restaurant) in my eyes. I hope this constructive feedback will encourage reflection on the importance of customer service and clear communication to avoid future disappointments.

Incredibly dry and overcooked waffle. We preferred to eat dry bread. Curious to be so bad when you are single-product.

I recently tasted the savory waffles at Wow and the idea was simply brilliant! The taste was delicious, and the quick service added to a pleasant experience. The only downside was the price, a little high for this type of dish. Despite this, the variety of menus available offers interesting options. Overall, a positive experience that makes me want to come back to explore their menu more.

Minimalist portion for dishes at excessive prices. A lunch menu including a savory waffle with two miserable slices of salmon placed on top and little avocado. (unless you are a young child, you are not likely to be full). A sweet waffle that, with any luck, has been in the waffle iron long enough to be crispy and fluffy, otherwise expect an uninspiring half-cooked batter. For a place that claims to specialize in waffles, it seems like a joke And a coffee or tea style drink for 22.90.- For the rest, expect to pay 3.90 for a coffee. To be in a noisy place if there are people. Please wait a moment to receive your order. In short, I don't understand why this place is so well rated. The decor is nice, the staff is attentive but there is no point in coming to eat here. One thing is certain: I will not come back.

Order placed on Uber and I found a leftover salmon on my avocado waffle (without salmon therefore) this shows a lack of hygiene plus my sweet waffle was not very well cooked and the bananas were on the verge of consumable (overripe)

Best place for brunch in Geneva!

I went there today during lunch break with a friend. Small, very cozy terrace giving way to the sun and a warm welcome/service. We had 1 signature waffle (1x Oops J waffle again and I will always waffle you). Both were very good. Small downside: I would have been a bit more generous with the peanut butter for the 2nd, otherwise a very good time had. The next one will be for a savory one!

Real Belgian waffles Waffle of Wonder is a small shop located in downtown Geneva (Plainpalais), specializing in Belgian waffles. The decor is contemporary and warm, with exposed brick walls and wooden tables. The waffles are prepared to order, with fresh, quality ingredients. The dough is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The waffles are available plain, or topped with different flavors, such as jam, chocolate cream, or whipped cream. I tried the plain waffle, which was delicious. The dough was cooked well and had a nice buttery taste. I also tried the blueberry waffle, which was also very good. The blueberries were fresh and the chocolate cream was creamy. The service was a little slow, but the staff was friendly and attentive.

My waffle was undercooked. The one I had at the Street food festival in June was much better. The coffee is passable.

My snack at “WoW” was simply wow! The waffles were delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed. The welcome from the team was friendly, which added to our comfort. In addition, the student discount offer is a real asset. Overall, it was a good time for a gourmet break. I can only say: “WoW”, what a memorable experience!

The first time we visited the store, everything was perfect! But when the second we went on this weekend with total different set of crews, the waffles were not that good so it really depends on your luck depending on who works there on that day. I Hope they can give their staffs a proper training to maintain a good quality because I will def peep who would be working there the next time I want my waffle.😉😊

If you're really hungry get the brunch deal. It includes a savoury waffle (ours was eggs benedict), sweet waffle, juice, hot drink, and a fruit bowl for a reasonable price. The waffles are freshly made too and very fluffy.

The waffles are not bad but on the other hand for such a small savory menu (3 choices), it is disappointing and surprising that one of the choices was not available, even though I was there at midday. Likewise, several drinks were missing which were nevertheless present on the menu. Ultimately I had to fall back on several default choices even though I came early to avoid that. It doesn't make you want to move...

Really enjoy this spot on our trip to Geneva. The staff was very friendly and walked us through the menu explaining all the options. They were great with our energetic 2 year old son. He loved the snow gloves on each table and enjoyed the delicious waffles. We had one sweet and one savory.

The concept is very interesting, but like all things that go off the beaten track in Geneva, the price does not reflect the product: in my opinion, there is not enough pearl of sugar in the wow waffle (Liège style); we asked for a salted butter caramel topping but it was only a squirt on the waffle. On the other hand, for the “influencers”, the Instagram decor is there… Hoping that this will change, because I think the concept is good, but you have to make the customer want it by giving them something extra in the waffles. I will try to go back when the business is more mature to taste the chocolate-filled waffle
