Yun Nan in Luzern

Challenge the spiciest experience at 20 degrees and eat it all. This is the first time I finished my meal after going abroad😂. This is the first time my roommate has seen me eat so much. Delicious😋. I will take my daughter and my mother to continue on Monday.

I brought my company for tea and dinner there. The tea was extremely delicious and the food was simply the most authentic Chinese food I have ever had! So tasty and delicious! The owner was so friendly making sure that everything was perfect. In my opinion, is simply the best spot in Luzern! We will be back!

Surprisingly authentic and cozy Chinese restaurant that serves Yunnan noodles. We ordered the braised pork belly and cabbage which were both very good. The cabbage was perfectly garlicky and tender. The pork belly was buttery and braised well with aromatic spices and soy flavor. Boba was ok, the bubbles were a little hard.

Google says open, but it is actually closed. Came twice, closed twice. Can you not update on google map??

Perfect spot for authentic Chinese rice noodle! But attention: don’t overestimate yourself. If you are from region where you eat spicy, 3 would be fine. If you are from region where you don’t eat spicy, don’t take any add-on spicy. If you are not sure, be cautious and take a lower level. You can always add more spicy if you can take more.

The personal is so nice. You just felt so welcome and felt like dine home here. Spicy lover and non spicy eating people would both be satisfied. Just don’t be too confident about your spicy capability. Start with 0 or 1 and add more spicy if you could and would.

The restaurant owner was very rude and yelled at me. I have diarrhea after drinking milk tea. The food doesn't taste good.

I had accidentally explored the town for a little too long catching the sunset, and I had reached the restaurant 1-2 mins after 7pm, their closing time. But the shop owner was really friendly and was willing to prepare one more portion for me to eat. Food was delicious, ambience was wonderful and it was the perfect meal to end the day. Will definitely recommend their signature 豆花面线!

The food has nothing in connection with Yunnan food, it is a touristy restaurant with very high price. After having the chicken rice noodle I felt very thirty the whole day, presumably because of the MSG in the soup. The tea area is very lovely, but overall I wouldn’t come back again.

Very authentic Yunnan rice noodles and soft braised pork. The freshly made soy milk is thick and delicious. The store environment is kept very clean and comfortable. It can be seen that the proprietress is a fastidious person. The female clerk from Mongolia is very kind and amiable. The service is very good and the smile is nice. The lady boss looks strong but she feels like a warm person.

The best meal we had in switzerland for real. A much welcome and comforting meal. Got the 红烧肉和汽锅鸡. The porkbelly was so good and tender (albeit alil spicy but otherwise great with rice). The claypot chicken broth was herby and heart warming. The chicken was alil dry though. The taro bubble tea was mid. Bubbles were abit hard and the taro lacking in flavor. The soy bean milk was great.

Definitely a place to avoid! Apparently, Switzerland is a Chinese food desert while being surrounded by better spots in Paris and Milan. However, this restaurant is below the average standard regarding quality and service. My husband got a stomachache after eating the hard tapioca in the drinks. Additionally, under orders from the boss, the waitress directly took away our plates before we had finished eating, simply because people had started to queue for a seat. Ein Ort, den man meiden sollte! Please avoid lightning! When it first opened two years ago, friends and colleagues came to try it and recommended it, so we came all the way from Zurich to try it. The rose tea was pretty good, but my husband ordered the version with pearls. The pearls were hard and undercooked, and he started to have abdominal pain within five minutes of going out. The tofu pudding in the beancurd rice noodles is tender enough, but there is too much bean paste, and the salty taste overwhelms other flavors. The rice noodles are a bit overcooked, not elastic enough, and break when pinched. Everyone has different tastes, maybe it just doesn't suit my taste, so I don't have any reason to leave a bad review, but the boss's service attitude was really bad, and I lost all interest in eating. When asked about drinks, the attitude was dismissive. When someone started waiting for a table, she directly told the waiter to take away our cups and plates. And I still had 1/3 of the rice noodles left to eat, and half of the drink to drink, and I was drinking it from a cup. So, when the novice waiter reached out to close the dishes without saying hello, I couldn't help but remind her, shouldn't I ask if the food is ready first? I have never encountered such rude service in Switzerland, or even in Europe, over the years. Why bother doing "fast food" catering management in the name of "tea room"? Many of the diners that day were Chinese tourists, so it's probably a tourist business now, so it's definitely not worth a special trip to eat there.

Good place. The owner is nice. The food are good. Good services. The stuff are nice too. Well when in high season very busy so you need to wait in line to get seated. But after high season no need to wait. As I am student, can see a lot of students from my school and others school come eat here a lot . The price is ok. The place is quite small but understandable cause this is take away restaurant. Overall, I am satisfied with everything. If u like authentic Chinese food, it is a must to come eat here.

Very delicious rice noodles! We ordered spicy chicken rice noodles with fungus and cold rice noodles with bean curd. The portion of spicy chicken was generous, and the soup base was also very delicious and unique. It seems that mint leaves are added to the cold bean curd rice noodles. It is very refreshing to eat in summer and relieves the heat. It is so delicious! A store I will visit again next time I come to Lucerne.

The rice noodles taste sweet, and they taste okay, but they are not authentic Yunnan rice noodles. The quality of the tofu pudding is not good, a bit mushy, probably related to the quality of the tofu pudding I order every day. The price is very expensive, two bowls of rice noodles and a side dish cost 80 Swiss francs. The boss's wife was still a little bit tongue-tied, and I kept hearing her talking, which was very noisy.

Cuisine full of finesse and full of flavors..

My family and I are from Los Angeles and go out to some type of Asian restaurant at least twice a week. After a week long trip in Italy eating pasta we needed to get some Asian food. We walked by and decided to try it out and had some of the best Chinese food we have ever had. The spicy pork belly noodle soup and dim sum were amazing, the broth had great flavor. It's a small restaurant so going earlier than 7pm is best as there isn't much of a wait. The staff are also friendly and helped us. The front window display is also very cute and adds a nice aesthetic to the place. When we come back to Lucerne we will be eating here again.

It is not easy to use foreign ingredients to make Yunnan taste. The food is carefully thought out and tastes good, and the proprietress is warm and hospitable. As for the price, let me say a few words. I saw some diners leaving comments saying it is expensive. I personally think this price is normal in Switzerland. Don’t compare it with neighboring countries or the country, but judge it by comparing it with Switzerland’s per capita salary and consumption standards, such as going to Jungfraujoch. Can the cable car fee be compared with Badaling tickets? Can the salary for sweeping the floor at the cable car station be the same as Badaling sanitation? You must be objective when speaking, and do not veto everything just because you are expensive.

Expensive but tastes really good

We dined at this place based on other people’s reviews and rating. We were very disappointed. I have to say that this is a tourist’s trap and they intend to rip people off. The food was seriously over priced. They have only four tables and charge every customers extremely high prices for food that would be much cheaper elsewhere. It is also very small and crowded and people sit very close next to each other. I definitely don’t recommend this place.

Bad attitude, and the food is not authentic

I recently stumbled upon this awesome Chinese food place called Yun Nan Tea House in Lucerne, and man, let me tell you, it was a total flavor explosion! The moment I walked in, the whole place was filled with these amazing aromas of spices and herbs that got me drooling right away. The place is pretty small and cozy, giving off those chill vibes. It was also decorated beautifully with various chinese artworks and teapots. But what really made the experience special was the super friendly and welcoming service. The staff was top-notch, always there with a smile, and they knew their stuff when it came to the menu. Now let's talk about the food, oh boy! Every single dish I tried was bursting with authentic flavors that took my taste buds on a wild ride. Honestly, Yun Nan Tea House is a hidden gem in Lucerne. Don't let its unassuming appearance fool you. If you're a fan of Chinese food or just looking for a mind-blowing dining experience, you gotta give this place a shot. To sum it up, my visit to Yun Nan Tea House was off-the-charts amazing. The cozy vibes, the friendly service, and the mouthwatering flavors all came together to create a dining experience I won't soon forget. Don't sleep on this culinary gem in Lucerne!

Please update your Google opening hours (not just the website!) There are people like me who didn’t check the website :) They are closed now, till May 24th, 2023.

Awesome! The best food in the town.

The food tastes good, but the restaurant only has three to four tables, one or two of which can be divided for two people or combined into a table of 4-5 people). But the service attitude was poor, which was completely different from the cordial attitude described by Xiaohongshu. In particular, I ordered the rose tea shown in picture 1 for three people (already cost 14 francs). I asked if I could add more hot water. The woman who was serving me was silent for a while, then took away the pot of tea and said, "I'll refill the water for you." Although his attitude was calm, I felt that his words were thorny and he was not very satisfied with the guest's request. Moreover, there were other guests waiting for a table because it was full, which meant that "our restaurant is not for you to have tea and chat." It is recommended that you don’t spend money just because you miss Chinese food outside. There is really no need to spend money on low-quality restaurants!

The proprietress is very enthusiastic and the service is very attentive. She recommends beef rice noodles, tenderloin rice noodles and beancurd rice noodles. The cold beancurd rice noodles in summer should taste better. The overall rating should be 4.5 points. I will definitely go there again next time I go to Lucerne.

Super lunch! ! ! My favorite is bean curd rice noodles and braised pig trotters! It is recommended to choose spicy level 4 for bean curd rice noodles and 3 for beef rice noodles! It will taste very comfortable this way!

The food was very tasty, large selection of teas. The waitress was irritable when we visited, in a hurry to clear up and seemed like she couldn't wait for us to leave and make room for new customers. In my opinion, you can't expect a calm and serene experience in a restaurant here.

This is the place you must come if you want to try the real original and traditional chinese cuisine! Everything they make is fresh and tastes incredible! They have a huge choice of tee and the bubble tea is the best I have ever tried! The place is cozy and the staff is awesome! They are very kind, professional. I suggest you to go try their soups and dim sum!!!

If this is the most delicious Chinese food in Switzerland, then there really is no delicious Chinese food in Switzerland. The bean curd rice noodles should be the store's flagship product in terms of price, but the taste is exactly as one review says, the taste of Master Kong beef noodles. The spicy tripe was also overly seasoned and had too much star anise pepper flavor. I admit, the beancurd rice noodles look pretty good, but I’m here to eat, not to watch.

We had lunch here because of the good google reviews. But overall our experience was not good. First of all it was very cold in the restaurant so almost all the customers had to wear their jackets. Secondly it took almost one hour till our food was served. To be fair the owner warned us about long waiting time. But the food was not even special. It was just ok. The noodles were not chewy at all. The dumplings were ok. The bubble tea was not good because all the bubbles were clumped together. The portion was very small too. Definitely not coming back and no recommendations.

Some reviewers mentioned about their staff service, but I feel they treated us very kind. I visited there with my young daughter and soonly they prepared a baby chair. And the place is likable because it looks clean and tidy. The price is not so reasonable. The amount of food is okay for women, but men may feel that the cost performance is bad.

Nice simple atmosphere and it was very tasty. I had a rose tea and a noodle soup with beef. The tea was cool and tasty and not sweet which I like very much. The soup was aromatic and very good and it was a very large portion.

The weather was cold and rainy so we decided to have a bowl of hot noodle soup. The micned chicken noodle soup was amazing with the right mix of taste ! Ordered the siew mai and oo long tea which is good too. The staff of the restaurant was very hospitable too. They checked with us if the food was good and they are indeed wonderful. Good Chinese restaurant to visit in Lucerne !

The best rice noodles I’ve ever had in Europe

Really authentic and delicious! The service from the boss lady and the young lady is really great! The steam pot chicken and bean curd rice noodles are amazing, really delicious, and there are various spiciness levels to choose from, super delicious! The sweet tofu pudding made by the proprietress herself is also very fragrant and is great as an after-dinner dessert.

The food was good, the portion was sufficient, the chicken meat was from Switzerland. My wish for Chinese spiciness was realized, thank you! The rice was a little too hot, probably warmed in the microwave. The service was English and nice. The price (辣子鸡 CHF 24) was fine for Lucerne and the quality. The restaurant is nicely decorated.

Very, very delicious steam pot chicken, bean curd rice noodles, and a very friendly aunt and waitress. So we decided to go back to Lucerne for a meal after returning from the snowy mountains. See you on Friday! There are also delicious sweet bean curds and spicy chicken with fungus. Our per capita consumption is 60CHF. Overall, we are very satisfied.

I passed by Lucerne during the summer vacation and discovered this Chinese restaurant unexpectedly and pleasantly. I ordered two portions of rice noodles, the spicy one, which was indescribably delicious. The chili in the rice noodles has a natural and pungent aftertaste, which combines the aroma of oil and chili in the best proportion. As a Yunnan fellow, I can only say that this rice noodle is amazing! What’s even more surprising is the milk tea, which is pure: Pu’er tea + Swiss local milk, the ratio is perfect, real milk tea! Kill those tea blends sold in Chinatowns across Europe.

This is, by far, the best Chinese restaurant in Luzern. The pork belly soup is absolutely exquisite - I get it almost every time I come. The food is authentic and the staff are incredibly friendly.

This place is a hidden gem. This shop sells beautiful teapots and high quality teas. It also operates a restaurant. Usually, I don't expect restaurants to have these two things. But this restaurant is special. I ordered some dishes and some drinks. All of them were on par with high end Chinese restaurants. Casual Chinese restaurants usually use MSG. Since cheap ingredients are used, the ingredients themselves have little taste, so the technique is to supplement with MSG. This restaurant is casual but does not rely on MSG. There were good ingredients, good skills, and good spirit. The service is also pleasant and kindness. My only regret is that this wonderful restaurant does not exist in my city. I can't come here without traveling. I hope this restaurant continues forever. Someday I will come to Luzern again just to eat at this restaurant. I appreciate the wonderful experience.

The food is very delicious and authentic. The boss lady and the work-study students are very friendly. The only drawback is that the store is a bit stuffy and there are flies But it is very satisfying to eat the food here after eating countless flour and cheese during my European trip.
