The personal was very friendly, and the food tasty.

They like to make the Uber drivers waiting long time to get the orders and treat them like rubish, the manager is very unpleasant and disrespectful

I walked into this restaurant with the doors wide open and the lady literally screamed at me that they were closed. I understand working in the service industry isn’t easy, but this kind of attitude is completely unacceptable.

A solid burrito in a place, i.e. Switzerland, you wouldn't expect one to be decent. This is definitely cali-mex so if you're expecting tex-mex (you shouldn't be, look at the name of the place) you'll be a little surprised. Definitely satisfied an American burrito craving.

Absolutely shocked by the lack of respect of one of your workers. Came in yesterday and said hello to the Indian with a beard. He didn't reply and directly asked "was wollen sie". I said again hello and he didn't reply after. is this what Zapote wants as workers?

Very fine food and super-nice staff

The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The service is super quick, I could scan a QR code, order from the table and pick it up after receiving a sms. The food was fresh and tasty. I would go again!

Highly recommended! The food is very tasty! We tried four different burritos and one bowl within our group and we were all very satisfied with what we got. The only “negative” comment is about the chips, which were pretty bland. The guacamole was good, though. Hence, four stars for the food. The personnel was very kind and helpful.

The food is great in all Zapotes in town. I am writing this review to praise the lovely lady that took my order today. Never had such a friendly interaction in the city!

Really good mexican food with a choice of different burritos, bowls or salads. Unfortunately the service is really slow, which makes waiting times during lunch hours really long (approx. 15-20min), as processes behind the counter seem to be really inefficient and not well aligned.

Not recommendable. A burrito costs too much and is completely inedible. The ingredients weren't really fresh either. I'm not coming back anymore.

Mexican fast food in the heart of Zurich. They serve burritos, bowls and salads freshly prepared to your liking. The quality of the ingredients is excellent and the vegetables are very fresh. You can choose from different types of rice, proteins and toppings, accompanied by homemade salads or nachos. I tried the chicken burrito and it was perfectly seasoned. The staff is quick and friendly, the place is clean and nice.

The inside of the store is clean and there are plenty of places to sit. Burrito 16.9 francs. It's nice that there are several hot sauces at each table.

As a young team, we started our evening at Zapote and thought it was great that we could easily order and pay for the food at the table. The burritos were fresh, super tasty and we were all full. The in-house iced teas were also delicious. It is definitely recommended and a place for us to come back! Discovered Zapote today and loved it. Great tasting spicy Big Boy burrito, fresh ingredients, attentive service personnel, clean store with a chilled vibe. Will definitely be back. Strong recommendation.

Really good, well priced food! The service on a Saturday afternoon was very quick, was ready within 4 minutes. You can sit inside or outside without issue. The prices are very reasonable for the quantity you get. Highly recommended for any type of bowl menu items.

We were asked if we wanted more meat but we weren't told that it would cost extra. I can't recommend the staff, some of them very unsympathetic. Way too expensive and the food was still good

I paid 18.90 today just for a burrito. It was good but not nearly enough. Some of the staff were very friendly but some were also totally unpleasant. Wouldn't go again because the price is just too high and, as I said, the staff wasn't really friendly.

Had a burrito for lunch today and the gentleman barely gave me any meat so I kindly asked if it would be possible to have a little more meat. As instructed, he gave me a little more, but what he didn't mention was the 2.- which I ultimately had to pay extra because I had "double" meat. As I said, I had about the normal amount as the others but because he put it in twice I had to pay extra. I spoke to him at the checkout but was only hissed at in an unfriendly manner. The cashier showed no understanding and no useful explanation. Very unsympathetic so nothing more for me.

Nice place and quality dishes. Self-service, expect to do the line (10-15 minutes at lunch) and struggle with swiss-german I'd you aren't native.

Great place for a quick lunch. Very good vegetarian options, i.e., long beach tofu. Come slightly before 12 as you might need to queue for quite a while as this place gets quickly crowded. Reasonable pricing hower please be cautious as they are trying to upsell you multiple time when your food is prepared.

Super tasty “American style” burritos and bowls. Had the lunch combo with salad, drink and bowl - freshly prepared food for 22.- in Zurich. Top! The staff is friendly and there was even a free Costa coffee at the end. Gladly again

The menu could be "spiced up" - a burrito and nachos that don't really taste good aren't really well thought out.

If you're looking for a 10 franc sandwich, you'd better go to the Coop, you'll have to expect around 25 francs. However, the price-performance ratio is very good and the costs for additional options are also clearly stated

First burritos cold, I asked to warm up and the second was with the wrapping paper attached to the burritos. The pork I asked to have as addition was just 4 peaces . I had great expectations as they wrote home made food , but it was a disappointing result

Popular lunch place with burritos and rice bowls in a California-mexican style. My veggie meal had good flavor and wasn't too bland. If you like spice, there are three types of hot sauce on offer. Food is filling and portions large.

**UPDATED** - Following such a brilliant reply from the team here I've made a modification to this review. Absolutely fantastic place to grab burrito's. Great place to grab a quick lunch with colleagues while in the area. Just pick your style of burrito and get a choice of what you want to add in. You can get extras like guacamole for a small fee, but with generous portions however you definitely won't leave here hungry.

Urban snack concept. Delicious burritos with ingredients of your choice. I like to come at off-peak times when you don't have to wait in line for so long.

Stopped by recently to try a burritos, well I loved it I will be back. I highly recommend it for those who want to taste something different.

Tasty food and kind staff, can highly recommend.

The burritos are incredible and have been consistently, I will always come here for a burrito. However, when I tried a salad the spices were chosen badly and extremely dry, I love spices but every bite felt like I was eating chunks of wood bark on top of my food. The burritos are so out of the world incredible that I will still give it 4 stars but avoid the salads.

We ate at Zapote for the first time on Saturday. We received very nice advice and service from the employee (Steffi). My son had a Skinny Chick Burrito and my daughter had a Kinderbox. The Skinny Chick was so delicious that we took another one with us for later. Super friendly and fast service! We'd love to come back there.

The food was good, the staff friendly. Unfortunately, the burritos are more for small appetites and are therefore rather expensive.

We often go out for lunch with the team. As a vegan, I really appreciate the selection. I especially like their planted chicken with a little spiciness. We have also ordered from the Binz branch (closest to us) for our office lunch and had it delivered. Worked perfectly. Everything was delivered in a warming box and picked up again. The only thing you shouldn't be so economical with is the napkins ;-) Super easy and super nice.

When ordering, we were slightly confused at first because the process wasn't entirely clear. To be honest, our expectations weren't too high. The waitress was friendly but had to read every single ingredient for the bowl and my salad (maybe it was new, then that's okay of course), and there were no more beans?! But then an alternative was suggested to me, so it worked. However, we were extremely positively surprised - my salad with the pulled pork was super tasty and spicy - I was really impressed with the taste. Price/performance is okay for ZH

Pro: nice service, good portions, deliciously cooked. Cons: Rather expensive for what is essentially fast food, the menu hardly describes the food, good burritos don't include rice.

Even though we went early in the afternoon, we had to wait at least 10 minutes until we were served. Not because there were other people in line in front of us, but because the staff had to serve an Uber eats driver with a large order. By the time we even got to it, the line went all the way to the door! That can't be right... What a shame! Food great as always

Reminds me Chipotle Mexican grill in US. Good meet quality, spacious in door dinning place. I was surprised how big my ball was 😋 but I was able to finish the whole thing cause it was quite good.

I am happy to support family businesses like Zapote, and I really appreciate the entrepreneurial effort and the amount of work that goes with it, especially in times of pandemic. As a regular visitor to the restaurant on Löwenstrasse, I unfortunately have to judge my last visit negatively. The crew seemed unrehearsed and quite inexperienced (long queues - which can still happen). What I find less funny is that they really wanted to see my certificate, even though I clearly said that I would eat on the "terrace". I also didn't like the fact that the cubes of flank steak were floating in a watery broth (?) - and I had the two pieces left! were placed on my burrito, which was significantly smaller than what was left and was unfortunately prepared "sloppily" so that everything fell apart. There's a lot more to report that I didn't like today. But turning me into an involuntary vegetarian is not a good idea. Anyhow. I hope that everything will be perfect again on my next visit.

If you like hot lettuce and mayonnaise eat here. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food...run away.

Very good in terms of taste and concept, but not enough for the price if you take the macho portion (50% more meat). I always use 50% more meat and don't even want to know what the burrito looks like with 50% less.

Delicious. I think the service is worth mentioning. The lovely lady who works there is infectious with her good soul and cheerful nature! It wasn't the bourito but the friendly service that made my day. The good mood was very contagious, not just for me, but for all the customers! Gladly again at this location. Delicious food + good mood = great atmosphere. 😉

Just a mass process without quality. Assembly line production like Starbucks and McDonalds, but what comes out at the end doesn't taste good at all. This is a typical company run by HSG employees: business processes, high prices, down-optimized results. Conclusion: never again.
