We arrived at the last minute, the restaurant was packed, despite everything they found us a table that we shared with another Italian couple, the dinner was spectacular, the company too, the magnificent atmosphere and the treatment of the waiters of 10, we went with high expectations and without a doubt it far exceeded them, thank you very much for everything, we hope to return soon, (Juan the Portuguese waiter served us 10, with a smile all the time, that's how nice) 🫡

Very Zurich and typical environment, despite the crowds, the service is provided at the right time. The quality of the dishes is sublime and the portions generous. I recommend the Zurich stew!

Great atmosphere with superb food. The place is cosy with great decorations and friendly staff. The menu is extensive so everyone can find what they fancy to have . The prices are decent and both dishes blew us away! 😍 The portions are generous and even one dish can fully cover two people. But I highly recommend to order both sausages and the pork. Highly recommend this place. It’s a must try for everyone 👌🏼

Update: it is always crowded at lunchtime, but tasty meals. Great Wienerschnitzel, acceptable prices. :)

I ate here on my birthday while visiting Zürich for work. The staff was so incredibly friendly and nice and they even sang happy birthday to me! The fish and chips and wine was yummy and just what I needed after a long day of travels. My colleague got the sausage and sauerkraut and he loved his dish too. They even provided a birthday dessert for me and sang! The coolest thing? My coworker left a box of new chocolates he’d purchase for his wife and the restaurant kept them safe for us 4 days later. The hospitality Is on another level here! I’d definitely go back.

It's alive - it's loud - that's part of it and that's a good thing! As a "local" I have eaten far better bratwursts with onion sauce.

I ordered pork Cordon Bleu and it was completely raw. I can't imagine what would have happened if I had ordered chicken and eaten it raw. The service was awful. My friend was served the wrong dish, and when she complained about it, instead of making sure she would get a new dish right away, the waiter told her (not in a nice way) that it would take at least 20 minutes, and it actually did! Also, if you don't like to eat in a crowded place, don't even think about going there.

It was great from noon with delicious traditional Swiss food and extra large beer. I was told that they also have a Japanese menu.

Without a doubt, the best typical food restaurant in the city, very typical, picturesque and with a lot Atmosphere; I recommend the Gordon blue in any of its varieties... without a doubt a success and you'll need to book.

You can have your meals in a friendly atmosphere in a historical place. Someone you don't know can sit at your table. It's a very big and crowded place. I went to the food for the first time and it's amazing. Prices are quite normal for Zurich. The service is outstanding.

What a hot spot in the central of Zurich! Absolutely packed during dinner time. Have to share table with others as it was really busy and fully booked. However the service was quick and food was served at a fair speed of time given the full house situation. We had the pork knuckle and lamb steak. I loved how they made the sauces with the meat -savoury, flavoursome and well presented. The sides are bombs!! Both of the dishes knocked us out 😍 I will definitely revisit this place next time, what a wonderful experience.

The Zeughauskeller restaurant is very well located, close to Paradeplaz, Fraumünster and Bahnhofstrasse. The building is very old and typical, which takes us back to ancient European times. Inside, the restaurant's atmosphere is even more beautiful with typical decoration, lots of wood and paintings on the walls, everything takes us back to the past, everything is very beautiful. The waiters are very friendly, friendly and funny, they serve us in different languages ​​and quickly understand our order. The menu has many options of beers and other drinks. Visited with 3 people around 5pm on Thursday. The store was empty, but there were quite a few reservation tags on each seat. The seat I was shown to was a reserved seat for another customer at 7pm, and I was advised to finish my meal by 7pm. After that, the place quickly filled up. I felt it was popular with the locals as well. It was a lively, fun and relaxed atmosphere. I ate the standard potatoes and sausage, and I was almost full. I was also looking forward to sweets, but my stomach wouldn't allow it (crying...)

Beautiful restaurant with fast service. Waiters are nice. Here is my take on our experience. Food so so. The roasted pork had excellent flavor as did the Veal cutlet. Butter lettuce salad refreshing. Beer good. Potato salad extremely salty (over powered the dish). Apple strudel very disappointing, the apples seeped moisture into the pastry making it tough, and the apples rather dry. Vanilla sauce very watery and tastless. I would give restaurant another try just order different dishes.

Very popular place, but the turn over was fast so we didn’t wait long. If you want some solid good food and don’t mind sharing a table, this is a great option. The menu is huge, took me a long time to decide. Everything was tasty and not too pricy for Zurich standard. Service was fast and nice. Water was unbelievably expensive and they do expect tips.

Super rude! You have to split the bill, you can't pay for what you actually ate when you're with a group because the waiters don't have time to charge customers separately. I have never heard such an explanation! Individual card payments are also not desired. Maybe the customers are just not welcome? The food is not super extraordinary, just normal.

The food is OK, overpriced and not too special. We had to share a table with another customer but that wasn't a problem. The ambiance is nice, the decor is also pleasant, but our waiter Jan had terrible manners. I asked about the salads (which ones are the best-sellers) and he rudely told me that "they're salads, you start a meal with one" in a very derogatory tone. We asked him for a side of lemons and they never arrived, and we were served applesauce even though we didn't order it. When we went to pay the bill, we asked to split it amongst the group but he very rudely told us "no. I won't split the bill." I understand that this is simply restaurant policy, but he could have been much more polite about explaining the situation to us. The manager at the time we had lunch (around 15:00) was very helpful and welcoming. Unfortunately I couldn't catch his name. Two stars, never coming back.

Very busy at dinner time! It's an ancient arsenal building! Pilgrims come here from all over the world, and German pig knuckles and sausages are the main characters, a very authentic delicacy! Can be paired with potatoes, fried or stewed potatoes and vegetables! There is a Chinese menu with pictures! So ordering is easy! Add a glass of German beer...and you have a delicious meal!

I went there because I heard it was a good restaurant. The tall woman with yellow hair was very unfriendly. When I said I would order something, I said it in a nonsensical way. When I told them to pay in Euros, I just said “Swiss Francs” twice. It was so cheap that I almost skipped the food.

I felt a little tired after eating it, but I still felt nostalgic and wanted to eat it again. I also ordered the daily soup, which is pumpkin fresh cream soup. The food was good, but the waiter was really rude. She was passing behind our table and all the times pushing our chairs and complaining there was no space for her to walk. Instead of kindly asking us to move closer to the table, she was just arguing in a very unpolite way. I let her notice she was very rude and she even shouted at us. I have never seen such a bad service for the whole night. It completely ruined the whole atmosphere of the dinner.

I was familiar with the restaurant and also liked it until they hired this woman, Nilaj, as a security guard who didn't have an ounce of decency at the reception. We had made a reservation at 1:15 p.m. instead of 1:30 p.m. and she said we could leave straight away instead of admitting the restaurant's mistake. Shortly before the placement, this person engaged in an endless discussion with us in which he wanted to prove that he was right. and Even after the meal we felt unwell because we noticed that unprofessionalism had an impact on the whole evening and on most of the friendly waiters. The owner offered us drinks, but it hardly compensated 100% for what we had to hear from the “receptionist” beforehand. Just dirty behavior in my eyes...

We came to Zurich as tourist and we had great lunch at this traditional Swiss restaurant. We ordered pork-Cordon Bleu and beef with mushroom wine sauce. The portion is big with either vegetables, noodles, rice or fried fries as side dishes. The food is served hot and taste good
