Unfortunately the hash browns were convenience food. Not mine. I'm happy to pay a few francs more if the Rösti is made myself! 03/16/24 Answer: Even if the Rösti was made with Swiss potatoes in Freiamt, it remains convenience food! It's just not homemade Rösti.

We were in battle at the derniere of the theater “the perfect secret”. In addition to the uncomfortably narrow seating, the service was completely overwhelmed. The food was below average at best, the vegetarian menu was simply an absolute disgrace. The absolutely incompetent service was unable to serve the food in a timely manner. Fries were in short supply, but almost the highlight of the evening. All in all: never again!

No food is served on the terrace...but dessert is??

The schnitzel was delicious and the drinks were refreshing too. The staff was extremely friendly, which made the visit particularly pleasant. An all-round successful experience that deserves five stars!

If the menu says pork and veal medallion, you shouldn't just serve three pieces of dead-cooked roast pork...

If you are absent due to illness, the guests present will receive a proud supplement. In 2023, with the knowledge that illnesses can cause a lot of harm, those who are considerate and those present are punished, very unwise. And thank you very much for your answer, counter question: if a group of 12 people spontaneously comes to your place, you have to assume that you won't be able to accommodate them... oh dear. We had a family dinner with 20 people. Everyone arrived including 1 dog and they said the dog wasn't allowed in. We were very surprised, I have never experienced that in 23 years of visiting restaurants with a dog. But well, it wasn't clarified beforehand because we are used to being welcome in the resti with a dog. But it was more the boss's arrogant way of refusing to let the dog in. Ok, bad luck, it can still happen. They then heated up another room especially for us where the dog was allowed in, which was very nice. The food was great! Even during serving, the boss was very noticeable for his arrogant manner. The other staff was nice.

We went to Battle for Comedy & Dine. Wow, that was just great, a nice welcome aperitif. A delicious main course with an encore, everyone had enough. And finally a dessert with fine coffee. You put a lot of effort into it and when the boss himself greets you, that's just great. You feel welcome and like a guest! Price performance was great.

Fine food, good wines, beautiful, modern location and friendly, courteous service. Everything perfect. When the weather is nice, a fantastic panorama. I and the whole company, from young to old, enjoyed it very much. Highly Recommended. Always happy 🌞

Our visit to the restaurant was excellent. The food was very tasty 😋 and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Depending on the neighboring table, it can get quite loud in the room. Gladly again.

I ate the bratwurst with fries. Delicious! Good thing my daughter reserved a table. There were no more free places. The service was super nice and quick. The drinks arrived after 7 minutes and the food didn't take long to arrive either. We will be back definitely.

Just 5 minutes away from A2 highway, this elegant restaurant impressed me for the warm atmosphere, the quality of the local Swiss cuisine, the careful and kind service assured by Denisa. And, last and not least, the bill amount was absolutely reasonable. Worth coming back again.

Went to battle for the first time. The food and service are truly outstanding. I ate two great, huge schnitzels. Anyone who likes to be civil has to go there.

Some of the food was cold and over-seasoned/over-salted. The price-performance ratio is very reasonable, the service is friendly, warm and pleasant. The atmosphere was very crowded for a Sunday and the acoustics were catastrophic. In the middle outside you are overwhelmed with noises, conversations, etc. and I have rarely experienced this. Basically satisfied, even if with a little disappointment.

Our wedding aperitif was great. Unfortunately the weather was bad and we had to move to the Burestöbli at short notice and were unable to have the aperitif outside on the beautiful meadow. Nevertheless, the hall was beautifully decorated. The aperitif plates are beautifully executed with a lot of effort and variety. The service was very accommodating. Kilian Hecht also gave us great advice and is a really great host for us. We are very grateful and can only highly recommend the Schlacht restaurant for occasions but also for a fine dinner!

A truly authentic restaurant! Tartare, codonbur, house wine, sausage, potato rösti, and salad were all so delicious~ The prices are reasonable for Switzerland, and the service from the owner and staff is very friendly! Unfortunately, the kitchen has slacked off a bit. Our gratin was cold...the cheese wasn't even melted. Our table was swarming with lots of flies. The service was very attentive and nice.

We reserved online about a week in advance and asked to sit at a side table because we had our golden retriever with us. Then sat in the pub at the regulars' table in front of the kitchen instead of in the Sääli with tablecloths and a nice ambience. There were a lot of flies around the table and when we asked for a fly swatter we laughed out loud. The food was good except for the gratin. I think due to the temperature and the cheese slices not melting, they probably forgot to heat it up. I know we could have complained, but we were just hungry. The highlight was the very friendly and attentive service with a foreign accent and long hair.

The location is brilliant, elevated above Lake Sempach. We sat on the terrace and it was great weather with the best view. The food is really good and not overly large portions. The service is good and mostly attentive. There are plenty of parking options and then you can learn a bit about the history.

The food was delicious. You can see mountains if you sit outside, but if you hate smokers, it may be better to sit inside. The staff were attentive.

Situated by the historic "Schlachtkapelle" (Battlefield Chapel) of Sempach. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff plus tasty food and drinks make it an obvious choice to relax whilst enjoying the lovely local scenery.

We had a battle platter for two and had plenty enough for a great price. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Our dog was also brought water straight away.

Today I was for the second time in this excellent restaurant to eat (other times I had stopped to drink or eat ice cream). The first time we went inside for dinner and today we had lunch on the beautiful terrace. The first time there was an error in the dish ordered (promptly replaced by the chef on duty, who invited me to try what he had brought anyway: both risottos were delicious!) and today everything went well. I can easily recommend both the pasta and risotto dishes, without neglecting the excellent fish dishes: everything is very, very good. Even the dessert (Sempach cake with Kirsch) is very good. The service is excellent and all the waiters are friendly, smiling and helpful. Excellent quality and courtesy, a restaurant worth visiting! See you soon.

We came with 140 people... too bad, there would be 1 or 2 more people at the service,...... the meal, too bad, the vols au vent didn't have much taste..... and no mushrooms. ......

Wow, we were thrilled. So child-friendly and a super nice staff 👍🏻 we spontaneously went there for dinner as a group of 6 adults and 4 small children and were warmly welcomed. For the children and us 😅 there was something to paint and the food was extremely tasty. Always my pleasure. Very good food and a friendly team

We were there recently! Actually everything was good except that there were 13 of us (reserved by email) and we had to wait about 2 hours for the main course. The service only responded to our questions and said it would take a little longer. All the people around us, who even came half an hour later than us, got their food beforehand. You can imagine how you would feel as a guest there. All in all, the food was good, the service was overloaded and misunderstood several things because of the language. The ambience, well in the covered outdoor area, fits. I wouldn't go as a group anymore. Finally, for the long waiting time, there was a dessert for everyone. 🥳🥳🥳

The ambience in the restaurant is nice and inviting and the food is very fine. And although the staff is very nice, there is still a lot of room for improvement in terms of service. Unfortunately, due to the suboptimal service, there are waiting times. The food was also only warm and no longer hot when it was brought to the table. If we were to get into the “battle” again, we would like the service to have improved. Because it’s not enough to “just” cook well. Service is also an important part of making you feel like you are in good hands as a guest.

We were at an event in your restaurant on Saturday and traveled 160 km for it. We were very disappointed with the food, a small salad plate for 9.50 francs. The few lettuce leaves were mostly unsightly. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend your restaurant.

Reserved by phone in the Raclettestübli for a birthday present. On the day of our reservation we were canceled because the Stübli wasn't ready yet and no raclette was offered. Great to cancel at such short notice.

Great view from the terrace, service a little long but good food

For the occasion we ordered decoration including a vase, which was to be included in the calculation. That was the agreement. We paid with a good tip because we were satisfied. Then days later the phone. When will we return the vase? We did that too. It was probably a misunderstanding. The cheek was the statement: "I'm surprised you didn't take the plates with you too"
