Very well-kept and cozy rooms, strangely not so crowded although total value for money; I found it strange for Saturday evening. The table distribution could also be optimized. Nevertheless, the service was extremely nice and helpful, the food was very tasty and of a high quality and of course the wine, as expected, was exquisite!

The four of us had a delicious meal and tasted and enjoyed wines with expert and friendly advice. All in all a great experience in a lovely atmosphere. We look forward to coming here again.

Not just chips, Zweifel knows how to serve its own Zurich wine and a good range of cuisine in an ultra-Swiss context

A nice location in itself, the outdoor area in particular is appealing but there is also a nice room divider inside, for example with the wine rack. Otherwise, “retirement home atmosphere” probably sums it up best. The furniture and decorations need a refresh, the way the dishes are presented is completely out of date and the unspeakable paper napkins even in the evening service speak volumes. The service is strikingly international for a village pub but is generally attentive and friendly. The food isn't bad but unfortunately it's not really good either. I've been there 3 times for lunch and 2 times in the evening and won't be visiting the wine bar again. Unfortunately there is no other decent restaurant in the Höngger core, but then you just have to go down to the Limmat or into the city. Höngg is changing and finally rejuvenating. It's a shame that this restaurant hasn't managed to do that yet.

Actually no star...ok the salad and the aperitif were good, beer and gin and tonic...since the employee was more interested in my partner, she brought me the wrong food! My partner's food was comparable to retirement home food...so no taste. Unfortunately, the disaster was repeated, and despite the change in tenant, this restaurant has deteriorated even further. Seeing the other reviews I'm not sure if I'm exigeant or if it's bad luck. The service is great we had a fun and super nice waiter. The food was really not at the standing of the zweifel brand. The burger was beyond average at Zurich standards and so were the fries.

In winter we ate fondue here with different types. I can only recommend this place for all cheese fondue lovers :)

I think this is a very beautiful restaurant. Nicely decorated, professional service, a modern menue, and very good food. I would have loved to see a bit more of a playful connection between the zweifel wines and chips tho. I did however have the with chips covered Cordon Bleu which was amazing.

Four “old Hönggers” wanted to spend a nice evening at Doubt 1898. We had reserved a table specifically for this. When we got there, the “extremely friendly and nice” lady from the service told us, “You can sit anywhere”. On Saturday June 4th, 2022 we had a hen day with various destinations in Zurich, the highlight was definitely the wine tour and visit to the wine cellar including the "blind tasting" of some of the wines. We were also able to reschedule very spontaneously and at short notice and were allowed to stay straight for dinner, even though we were a group of 11 people. The place is not too busy and thats a big plus for the atmosphere. It was very nice! Its fairly priced and the food is very tasty. Further I'd say that its a place for wine lovers as there is a big variety you can select from. A good place I personally would recommend.

Wir waren in den vergangenen Monaten einige Male in der Weinbeiz und waren in der Regel mit dem Gebotenen sehr zufrieden. Tadellos war bei jedem Besuch die Qualität der wirklich tollen Weine und der nette und zuvorkommende Service (bei einem Besuch war die Wartezeit bis die Bestellungen serviert wurden etwas gar lang, was aber ein Problem der Küche gewesen sein dürfte). Wir hatten zum ersten Mal unsere GV vom Tennisclub im Fasskeller. Der Umbau mit den verschiedenen Räumen ist vollumfänglich gelungen. Die Lokalität ist für eine Versammlung sehr geeignet mit der nötigen, modernen Infrastruktur. Der Weinladen sehr übersichtlich und schön gestaltet. Das Essen dann im Fasskeller hervorragend, auch die spannende grosse Weinkarte mit fairen Preisen muss man erwähnen. Sehr nette Bedienung und ein tolles, junges aufgestelltes Team. Wir kommen sicher wieder.
