A wonderful dining experience, in a lovely classic dining room and with food to match. We had the pressed duck (canard a la presse), which was excellent. We also had an “essence of chicken” soup to start, which was pretty much what you’d expect from the name, intensely chicken-ey, and a gingerbread spice soufflé with plum compote and tamarind ice cream, for dessert, which was absolutely delicious. Service was attentive and professional, just the right balance between friendliness and formality. I suggest that after dinner you go for a digestif in the hotel bar next door, which is small, cosy, and has a comprehensive and interesting cocktail menu.

I would like to recommend Gasthaus & Hotel Berninahaus to everyone that wants to visit Switzerland. The Hotel is really well localized and counts with a wonderful view. The space provides you, the meaning of peace. All the employees are really polite and educated and also very thoughtful. About the space, I would like to say that it was very well sanitized and clean. Also, I would like to recommend the unique and absolutly tasty gastronomy. Wir haben gestern das Chef Menu genommen. Es war ganz gut. Besonderes die Lammkoteletts 👍. Die Bedienung hat leider vergessen, uns den Wein und das Wasser nach zu schenken, das hat den Eindruck ein wenig getrübt.

Before the Easter holidays we went on a trip to Pontresina, where we had an unforgettable time. Every evening we were lucky enough to enjoy exquisite meals at the Hotel Bernina, which pampered our taste buds and delighted us with local delicacies. But it wasn't just the food that impressed us, but also the warm hospitality and the loving manner of the staff, especially when dealing with our child. It was nice to see how they took care of our family's needs and made sure we were comfortable. This attention and care helped make our stay an unforgettable experience. We are deeply grateful to the entire team at Hotel Bernina for their excellent quality of service and their warm atmosphere, which made our vacation very special.

Everything was top, room, breakfast, food and service.

We have enjoyed visiting the restaurant again and again over the last few years. This year we were extremely disappointed. Even though the restaurant wasn't fully booked, we were directed to the breakfast room. The service is terrible, the portions are only half as big, everything is ready-made. Still a proud price. Our table neighbors didn't fare any better either. We won't be coming back again.
