We ate here one afternoon after a good walk around the nearby lake. It was very busy with people doing a variety of activities as it is attached to a hostel. We found the staff friendly and helpful, and the food and drinks were most reasonably priced. We had tea and fruit tart here most afternoons on our way back from trips up in the mountains and it's a great stopping off place from Interlaken Ost. We were lucky and had a week of sunshine so were able to sit outside at the many tables (in both shade and sun) and people watch for a very pleasant half hour or so.We were so impressed with the service and the look of the food/menu, we decided to try here for our evening meal and were really pleased we did.We chose from the main menu and were very pleased with both meals. We had the sweet and sour chicken and the teriyaki steak, both came with a large portion of rice. I was able to watch the chef cook both in front of me in the open kitchen so I can vouch for how fresh everything was. All hot meals also come with a small side/starter salad. The cost, for both food and beers/wine, was very reasonable for Switzerland.They also do a daily 3 course special (which is actually one of the dishes taken from the main menu) which includes the salad, main course and a scoop of ice cream for a very reasonable set price (I think it was 19 SF).

Das Essen fand ich sensationell. War bereits mehrfach Gast und genoss meistens eines der feinen thailändisch/chinesisch/indisch angehauchten Reis-Poulet-Gerichten und war jedes mal begeistert. Auch die Tagesmenüs sind sehr zu empfehlen und für 17,5. -, inklusive Salat und Kaffee/Glacé preislich im Rahmen, respektive angesichts der Qualität absolut gerne zu zahlen.

Definitely the best meal-for-the-value we had in Interlaken. The prices were lower than pretty much every other place we looked at (if still not cheap), and the food was actually flavorful. 3a is the ground floor of a hostel next to the Interlaken Ost Bahnhof, and has both indoor and outdoor seating. What is interesting about the setup is that after you order at the register, they give you a ticket with your order on it, which you take to the counter. The cooks will then make your food right in front of you while you wait, and will ask you if you want more ore less seasoning, more or less vegetables, which type of pasta, etc. Then make sure that you grab your side salad (seems to be included with every meal, but we forgot to grab one from the end of the counter), and dig in.The food is never going to get a Michelin star, but in comparison to the blandness of literally every other meal we had, the pasta dish here was a solid performance. The pasta wasn't over cooked, the vegetables were fresh and cooked enough to heat them without losing their crunch, and the quantity was perfectly decent. If we are back in town, we would absolutely stop here again.

Dies ist das Restaurant der Jugendherberge im Erdgeschoss, es wird alles Frisch vor den Augen zubereitet mit regionalen zutaten. Der Koch würzt nach Wunsch auch stärker. Es ist ein Behindertengerechtes Restaurant inkl. WC.

The food here is simple but very well cooked and it is not expensive .You can get a good meal and drink here7days a week in the summer months you can eat outside they also do breakfast as well each day.The do a good selection of coffee and other drinks the staff all speak at least two languages one of them been English the staff from the railway's eat here you know a place is good if the locals eat here as well.The menus changes daily and you don't have to stay at the youth hostel to eat here.

We dined here on both nights we stayed in Interlaken - great to have food cooked while you wait and it was all very tasty - prices were reasonable for expensive Switzerland - would highly recommend it to anyone wanting some good fresh food.

Foi uma agradável surpresa em Interlaken. Todo dia um prato do cardápio é eleito para figurar como prato do dia e é oferecido a um preço menor. Além dele, pode-se pedir do cardápio, que é preparado na hora com muito capricho. O preço é muito bom e o ambiente é moderno e descolado. O restaurante fica no térreo do hostel, próximo à estação Interlaken Ost. É aberto para o público em geral, e não apenas para os hóspedes.

Wir nahmen ein Zug nach Interlaken ab Grindelwald zu verbringen einen Tag wie Bedingungen für den Skisport so schlecht waren. Wir hatten Interlaken auf vorherigen Male besucht, Sommer und Winter, kann aber nicht diese tolle kleine Café erinnern. Sobald wir Interlaken Ost Bahnhof links, konnten wir für den ersten Kaffee Halt als wir kamen über die 3a nur als wir auf dem Bahnhof links verlassen. Es war eine glückliche Entdeckung wie es geräumig, modern, mit freundlichem Personal. Alles war makellos sauber, und obwohl wir nicht eine Mahlzeit dort hatte, würden wir ohne zögern dort Essen hatten, da das Essen so appetitlich aus. Es war auch recht günstig (für die Schweiz!) und es gab eine nette Mischung von Leuten und Altersgruppen. General Tourist Info ist auch vorhanden und eine Leinwand zeigt eine Webcam live auf die umliegenden Skigebieten. Wir haben nicht zögern, dies jedem empfehlen, der in diese Gegend, das nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Zentrum von Interlaken ist.

Comi uma massa preparada na hora. Estava muito boa. A unica parte ruim foi ter colocado um pouco de pimenta. O pouco foi demais. A quantidade é bem grande.

probably the only really good dining deal in Switzerland for a complete dinner..we dined there on two consecutive nights in May......for 17.50 CHF (approx $20 USD) you get a nice sized fresh salad, very generous portion entree (first night was pasta Bolognese...so-so, but I'm Italian and picky in that regard, but 2nd night was great...Thai curry-peanut chicken was very good) and also a generous-sized scoop of ice cream (your choice of about 6 different flavors). They have tap water (free) from a special spigot / sink, with pitchers nearby if you want to bring it to your table. entree is prepared fresh (stir-fried), so it's not really buffet. there is also a decent selection of menu items (reasonably priced) if you don't care for the nightly special. we're not talking haute cuisine, but a very good deal with some tasty food and a relaxed atmosphere...there are also tables where you can dine outside along the main st.

We were a group of 3 lodging in Interlaken Youth Hostel last end of October. The Hotel is nice, well-located and good staff in the reception. But I had a horrible experience in the restaurant with the Chef. When we arrived, the receptionist told us that we could bring food from outside and eating there in designated tables for that using plates and cutlery from the restaurant, it was the some in Lucern and Zúrich Youth Hostels without problems.We had the dinner from the Restaurant in the youth Hostel the first night but it was nothing special, for this reason, we brought food from outside the second night and I asked for cutlery and plates in to the Chef in the restaurant, he was really rude and disgusting but he gave me that. When I was walking to the table, my friends saw him looking at my and making negative gestures in a very bad manner, i felt really bad when they told me that. After that, I was looking at him and I realised that he was very unpolite with people coming from outside Swiss or not looking like from northern Europe, I felt a clear racist actitude from him.On the next morning I told what had happened at the reception and they were very sorried and asked me for apologise, and the receptionist told me that it has not been the first time.

Grünes Curry mit Bio-Crevetten war sensationell. Den Köchen kann man bei der Zuberitung in die Pfanne schauen und Wünsche mitteilen. Unkompliziertes Ambiente. Komme bestimmt wieder!

Sie finden hier geben Sie Ihre YH, sehen Sie die Angebote auf ein Brett, wählen Sie im Voraus bezahlen, dann fahren Sie mit der Quittung und das Buffet, erhalten Sie Ihr Abendessen und zu Fuß zum einen Sitzplatz. Es gibt dort viele Zimmer zur Verfügung. Das Ambiente ist erholsam. Das Essen scheint immer sehr gut. Das Personal ist normalerweise freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vernünftige Preise, ist das Leitungswasser in bester Qualität und kostenlos zur Verfügung (Selbstbedienung).
