Wonderfull view in the mountains around and on top of this good local food and drinks. Nice to reach with ebike from the main road through the valley. Also Thur river waterfall is worth a visit. But you have to walk 10 minutes.

Highly recommended! We were looking for a nice place to have dinner and found this place on google maps, a bit off the main road but easy to get to. The dinner (typical dishes of the area) very good on a huge terrace under cover, beer, rain and good views, you don't need to ask for anything more. Finally, you can pay by card (ideal for tourists like us who didn't carry cash).

After a long hike, we wanted to treat ourselves to a cool drink and an ice cream in Älpli…. Unfortunately nothing came of it!!! When we arrived the table was extremely dirty and filthy! The service was extremely unfriendly. You didn't feel welcome at all and there was no trace of hospitality!!!! When we asked for the menu we got an answer from the landlord like I've never experienced before 😂 in his opinion we should have known what we wanted to drink! Sorry, but since I still don't have clairvoyant abilities, I didn't know what kind of wines there would be in the range and that's why I asked about the menu. Such behavior is an absolute no-go, we left the restaurant again without ordering, because every cent is a shame for me for such a bad host 😅 Sorry never again unless there is a change of ownership!!!

Hard to say which was “dirtier”. The landlord, how he treated us or the tables. Anyone who expects hospitality here will probably have to bring it with them. The landlord (at least I think it was the boss) doesn't seem to be interested in guests. Although we (4 adults and three children) were very thirsty and hungry, we didn't want to accept that and left the terrace without consuming anything. We didn't want to let an old, bitter innkeeper ruin our day. I can't remember ever being treated so “dirty” by a host. The children were disappointed and angry with the “old man” the entire way, which is putting it very mildly.
