Cash only. Guy is weird about it scoops you up then tells you it’s cash only good luck if you don’t have cash…

Very bad service, the gay waiter is super arrogant and stinks…

We were there with a family of 6 and wanted to eat ice cream, but the female waiter closed the door in our face and arrogantly announced that he needed 10 minutes to smoke.

A nice little cafe with relatively good prices.

We wanted to give this business a chance again. When we arrived (my partner and I, and our children aged 2 years and 6 months), the boss looked me up and down and said in a low voice “Lei piace fare l'amore” (how do you like to make love ). Unfortunately, I speak Italian. What a way to treat women, and his (potential) clients! We are leaving again. Previous review: The prices have unfortunately become exorbitant (CHF 6.50 for two balls). It's a shame, the ice cream is good and I've never had a problem with the service.

The attention was very nice! The kind people. The coffee is very delicious and the pineapple juice is delicious 😋. They gave us some toast that was very delicious.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the previous recessions when it comes to the boss. He seems to be unfamiliar with how to treat guests. Arrogant, conceited and almost impertinent. Although the coffee and ice cream are good, it was my first and last time here. It's a shame that nothing has been learned from the Corona lockdowns.

Very cute! I stopped in with a friend just for a coffee. It deserves 5 stars for the taste, but above all because the gentleman (unfortunately I didn't ask for his name) agreed to prepare me a Moroccan even if it's not among their proposals! Thank you very much for the gesture. Next time we will try the ice cream.

Warm Caffetteria Gelateria on the Reuss. The ice cream is very tasty and there is something for everyone - highly recommended. The staff is super nice and accommodating, I'll definitely come back often. Thank you very much dear Amore Mio team.

Ice cream was good but the service is awful. The owner would just acknowledge us but then walk away and not listen to us when we wanted to order more coffee.

A tiny cafe in the center of Lucerne. A wonderful end to the walk - coffee with Baileys and delicious food. Nice music, lots of little details that are interesting to look at. Charming owner :)

The staff and owner were vey rude with my family and kids. The owner does not have any education, he picked up my son from the table without any explanation and asked us to leave because we didn't order more coffee or ice cream after sitting there for 5 minutes. The entire place was almost empty and there were plenty table to sit other people but instead of asking us if we want to order more or ask in a polite way to leave, the owner hit my son back and pull him from the chair. We have visited many countries and many cities in the word and this is the 1st time I see someone treat a kid this way. How somebody sell ice cream and don’t know how to treats kids. This was our first time in Luzern and the experience in this place was awful.

We went in for an ice cream, half the flavors were empty, we were in line behind other customers, when it was our turn the young lady behind the counter didn't even look at us, and started serving the customers who arrived after us... so we went out without buying anything and without saying hello, since the quality of respect must be the same :)

If I were able to give 0 stars I would’ve- avoid this place. I wish I read the reviews before I go because the guy serving there was super rude and unfriendly- we asked for a small scoop for the kids he started to shout threw the ice cream and fortunately a nice lady saved the moment and at least apologized for his behavior…

Horrible service, a racist Host treated us very badly

The boss is getting used to not being very serious about making out with his young waitress in hot pans behind the counter. The ice cream was good, but 4.50 CHF per scoop was a bit much... Wouldn't go there again.

Beautifully located. The staff and the boss were very friendly and made the effort to set up a place for us. The ice cream was very tasty and the coffee was a dream like in Italy.

The owner was very unfriendly and rude to us! He refused to give us (5 people) a bigger table and then screamed at us in Italian. The woman working there was very nice but unfortunately because of the owner, we decided not to spend our money at a place, where we get yelled at in a different language. The woman working there tried to discuss but he even yelled at her. Very sad. Very disappointing. I do not recommend this place!

We didn't read the reviews before coming to this place. Had we done so, we probably would have given it a slip. However, our experience at this cafe was quite pleasant and in fact the location made it one of the most memorable spots on our trip. The tall young lady who served us was quite friendly and polite. There was also another gentleman who kindly offered to click family photos for us. All in all it was a good experience. Maybe lady luck saved us from meeting the "boss" of this cafe.

Perfect example of the dark side of Italy. Arrogant waiter, does not take cards, probably also doesn’t pay income tax, please don’t support this kind of business. Lucerne has way too many good options to offer.

Good coffee in a great location

Right next to the popular and very fine Greek restaurant Ammos which I can only recommend. Bad service and primitive behavior. The manager of the restaurant should urgently take a course in decency and manners, because his bad manners are only surpassed by his own bad manners. We were told he was the head of a social network, no wonder things are going downhill. It's just sad that people like that exist... can't be recommended... Amore Mio - Probably not quite the right choice of name. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Service is ok but should be better.

I will never give this restaurant a single franc again!! Without being asked, the man behind the counter said that he knew men like my boyfriend, they were all unfaithful and he was probably already outside writing to someone new, and I should be careful of him. I think he is highly racist and/or not quite 100 in the head!! He wasn't wearing a mask either! Almost unbeatable in terms of arrogance and cheek!! But apparently I'm far from the only one who has had to experience something like this. Hopefully he can't keep this up much longer!

The waitress is OK. The man behind the bar is rude, arrogant and rude. I have no idea what this person has lost in the hospitality industry. It's a shame for the otherwise beautifully furnished restaurant in a prime location.

Unfortunately, the hygiene regulations are not adhered to. It's a shame, the location is great, hygiene is poor.

Catastrophe! My husband and I were treated in the most unfriendly, arrogant and primitive manner by the owner Mino Epifani. We have never experienced anything like this, either at home or abroad. After he theatrically made us look like idiots, we put the ice cream back and left. This ice cream shop is a huge disgrace to the hospitable and beautiful city of Lucerne. P.S: The gentleman doesn't pay any attention to hygiene when handling ice cream.

Family and cozy place with delicious ice cream.

Unfortunately, I can only share the previous 1* reviews as we had the exact same experience with the male service staff. Unfriendly and rude because we chose the "wrong" table. The way he acted, I can hardly believe he is the owner of the café, but an employee would probably not act like this. Location is great and ice cream delicious although it was hard to enjoy it after such an arrogant encounter.

Best gelato in Luzern, hands off. The taste and the price is not on par with any other ice creams in the whole canton.

Great place! Ordered some gelato, and a double espresso. The espresso was some of the best I had in Switzerland. The staff were friendly and genuine.

Didn't convince me! It's a shame The gelato was very out of date and not really good. In addition, there is little choice and the service neglects the guests. The boss personally was rather arrogant and annoyed and simply walked away during the conversation, which is a shame! As a city of Lucerne, I will not visit this restaurant again!

Ice cream, well for 4.50 I would have expected more. There was a very strange smell of vinegar in the store :-[

Top ice cream, top café... A piece of Italy in the middle of Lucerne

Fancy a cappuccino this morning. Since everything else I knew was occupied, I sat down here. A little piece of Italy... There were only two tables occupied and the café had only opened a few minutes before. A cheerful boss, loud Italian music, pictures and photos everywhere, a small cake counter. I ordered the cappuccino I wanted, it was excellent. And that I'm very picky about cappuccinos. There were small pastries with it. The boss sang along to the radio and was obviously in a good mood. Spoke exclusively Italian...I got by :-) I found his manner quite likeable. Only the toilet could be a bit clean, especially since it was just opened that day.

Gelati is good - but overly expensive in a small portion. The service from the boss was lousy.

Environment and quality good. Of all the places we visited on our trip through Switzerland, this was the only one where they required cash payment. Frankly strange place, to access the services you have to go to the common areas of the building Toilet not accessible for disabled people.
