Nice atmosphere in the Bistro du Theater. Chicken wings tasted good, as did salad, polmes and sauce. Recommendable!

Simply an extremely miserable price-performance ratio. Very, very small portions and the highly advertised sauce for the chicken wings was inedible. I'm 64 now and in all my years I've never left a restaurant so disappointed.

Table size for five was too small, absolutely unfriendly big guy at the entrance (hospitality is a foreign word, more like mass processing) I will definitely not go there again.

Well, we had about 8 small pieces of chicken each, fries were divided into two... A beer with it... The whole thing for 85 CHF. I'll go to Burger King next time. Ambience would be great if it was filled with character...👋🏼

I recently enjoyed a meal at Bistro du Théâtre that was full of ups and downs. The 350 gram cordon bleu was definitely the highlight. It was juicy and full of flavor, although the cheese was a bit too runny. Unfortunately the fries were a bit too hard, but still edible. The atmosphere in the bistro was inviting and cozy, but the lights flickered every now and then, which was a little annoying. Overall, my visit to Bistro du Théâtre was pleasant. The food was good, although not perfect, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I would like to give the restaurant four stars.

Very cozy bistro in the middle of Lucerne with good food and friendly service

Not convincing...Austen were good but the rest were rather below average...had a steak and had to chew each bite for 5 minutes before giving it to my dogs...for a bill of 110 euros for 2 people you should be able to expect more

Be very cautious if an overseas traveller. We were charged twice and they refuse to give us a refund.

We regularly eat at the bistro. Unfortunately, the chicken wings have lost quality in our last two visits as they were far too dry. The fries were also very over-salted and over-fried. I think the price is okay if the quality is appropriate, but unfortunately it wasn't.

The food and service are good, but the price is not right at all. Simply blown away! For a small salad with 2 breaded strips of pulp 33.50 CHF (main course as a small portion) is not justified. The same small salad with tuna as a menu costs 23.50. Where is the logic that the expensive fish costs 10 CHF less than 2 strips of chicken? Just because it's offered as a menu? Special.

Best chicken in town! The sauce with it is simply heavenly! The service, as always, was very charming. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Also a good recommendation for carnival!

Food was really good but expensive. We paid over 200 euros for 4 people.

Absolutely friendly and helpful in finding a solution because almost everything was occupied. Tables are simply put together and chairs are booked 👍

Actually quite okay. But I don't think the price is at all appropriate for the quality. I had the chicken wings with mixed vegetables as a side dish. The chicken wings were tasty but dry and the "spicy" mixed vegetables were bland and the portion was measly. I think the chicken wings cost 25.00, which would be okay if the quality was right. (This has apparently been a hit for 40 years) The mixed vegetables cost 13.- and are almost unbeatable in terms of quantity and quality.

Everyone in our group was super happy with their choice of food. My onion soup as a starter was simply amazing 👍. The time flew by, we will definitely come back.

Still a good place to go, very friendly staff, good traditional food. Only caveat is that it has become too pricey lately, shifting itself from the "visiting regularly" to the "once in a while" group...

Food was very, very good. XXL Hambunger was very tasty, cordon bleu was perfect (no skimping on the cheese), the beef fillet was very tender, and the classic chicken wings were brutal as always. Price is okay. The only remark: The dishes didn't come together... and it took a little longer than expected. But I can live with that😉 Come back 😊👍

The chicken wings at Macdonalds taste better...the quality is about the same. The sauce could be from a tube...you can do it...but I wouldn't go there anymore for a culinary delight. The place was also very dirty, there was coffee cream, fries, salad, etc. on the floor... very unappetizing. Accompanied by a rancid scent in the air. For me, NEVER AGAIN...but to each his own.

Beautiful city pub where life takes place. For years it has been a meeting place for the young and the young at heart. Great food and friendly staff.

Service really bad Food isn't bad

A nice and attentive team. The menu is confusing at first, you first browse through the Christmas and New Year's Eve menu and all the events. The selection of salad bowls was impressive and also tasted good. Served attractively with fine bread. For me personally, less garlic would be more, especially because it was probably hidden in the salad dressing. Otherwise, gladly again.

We didn't have local food in this restaurant but a really great vegetarian Thai! The vegetables prepared and cooked to perfection and the curry was perfect! Good rosé, fresh, not too expensive.

We were there with a small group. The atmosphere was cozy and informal, just as the name suggests, bistro. A place for young and old. The staff very friendly. As a starter we had fried chicken drumsticks served with curry sauce for dipping. Was very good. The main course was the famous giant Wienerschnitzel, which was good in its own right. Unfortunately the fries didn't overwhelm me, I've eaten better ones. The whole plate turned out to be very dry, no green leaves or tomatoes. We had to keep asking for ketch-up. A pity.

Food surprises very well. Unfortunately, the restaurant was visited by many loud South American women.

Wenn man Zeit & Lust hat eine Stunde für ein Salat zu warten, ist diese Restuarant Perfekt. Auf die Rechnung wartet man ca. 20min

Immer guet gegessen, und komme nach corona Lockerungen gerne wieder.

Gibt kein schöggeli, sonst perfekt. Sobald das schöggeli kommt gibts 5 Sterne. 😉

Gestern waren wir im Bistro Le Théâtre zum Essen.Obwohl es bereits 22Uhr war, war es noch möglich, Essen zu bestellen.❤Sehr freundliches Personal, welches sich für die derzeit herrschenden Massnahmen extrem entschuldigte, (Schliessung um 23Uhr aufgrund Corona) obwohl sie absolut nichts dafür können.Ich liebe das Bistro du Théâtre und war schon oft da, jedoch bisher noch nie zum Essen.Das Essen hier ist echt TOP!Ein grosses Dankeschön an die Köche, Servier-Personal, Chef, einfach an euch alle.❤❤❤

Ich esse im Bistro immer Pouletknusperli mit Pommes Frittes an einer sehr feinen Curryartigen Sauce. Es empfiehlt sich - einen Tisch telefonisch im vorraus zu reservieren. Manchmal muss man ein bisschen zu lange auf seine Bestellung warten - dazu kommen die Speisen nicht immer gleichzeitig. Die Qualität des Menüs macht diese Unanehmlichkeiten aber mehr als wieder wett.

Einfach nur "WAU". Für nur gerade Fr. 49.00 wird hier jeden Donnerstag ein Dreigang Menü angeboten nach Wahl. Vorspeise, Hauptgang und Dessert können frei aus der Karte gewählt werden, der Endpreis beträgt jeden Donnerstag nur Fr. 49.00, alle anderen Tage ebenfalls zum Schnäppchenpreis von Fr. 59.00 ! Wirklich nur zum empfehlen ! Unser Menü war einfach Grandios gewesen !Wir kommen sicherlich wiedermal ! Herzlichen Dank für die super Bewirtung und das super Essen !

Wir waren letzten Montag zu dritt Knusperli á discrétion essen. Knusperli waren fein, der Service war sehr aufmerksam und dafür das viel los war schnell. Gerne wieder

Toller Erlebnis mit perfektem Ambiente Essen göttlich...super Toskaner Wein..alles hat gestummen das Personal sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend kann es nur empfehlen ..sehr gut...👍👍👍

Durch das super Essen kann die Bewertung noch auf 1 Stern hochgehoben werden (klasse Küche) - abgesehen davon eine absolute Frechheit. Die Bedienung (in unserem Fall) war extrem inkompetent und frech. Um ein Beispiele zu erwähnen: Die Bestellung kam unvollständig und nicht gemäss Wunsch des Kunden (nicht nur an unserem Tisch). Mehr als ein "Sorry, habe es vergessen" (mehrmals) haben wir letztendlich nicht als Entschädigung erhalten. Zudem konnte unsere Bedienung weder Wasser einschenken, noch den nötigen Respekt zur (sehr gut) zahlenden Kundschaft erbringen. Die Preise werden, durch die super Küche, nur teilweise gerechtfertig. Um das ganze noch abzurunden, hat der Kellner die Rechnung am Schluss in den Mund genommen, da er keine Hand frei hatte. Nicht wirklich Corona-konform.

Ich war wärend meiner RS letztes Jahr sehr oft dort und die haben unglaublich gutes Essen, sehr guter und frischer Salat, saftiges Fleisch und leckeres Dessert. Ich war oft dort und bin nie mit leerem Magen nach hause gegangen einen besuch wenn man in Luzern ist lohnt sich auf jeden fall

Reservierung System, funkzunierte überhaubt nicht und Telefonisch nicht erreichbar 1 Stern. Trotzdem kriegten wir einen Platz und das Essen war prima.. Personal sehr freundlich.

I love to go there for decades now. I'ts a bistro and serves french food. Every dish I had there was at least good. It's a lucerne classic that deserves to be a classic.

Dieses Restaurant war das Ziel nach einer ausgedehnten Stadttour durch Luzern. Nach einer wundervollen Zeit wollten wir uns den Abend noch mit einem Essen versüßen. Dies taten wir hier im Bistro. Gleich am Anfang schon wurden wir freundlich begrüßt und staunten nicht schlecht. Dieses Ambiente hat uns echt gut gefallen. Das Essen war auch super und am Ende gingen wir gesättigt und kaputt nach Hause. Vielen Dank für den den wundervollen Aufenthalt!

It was a very nice place to have a quiet romantic dinner, the staff were friendly and helpful as I didn't know what a bunch of the stuff on the menu was and we both had a lovely meal. Only downside is it was on the pricier side, but then I am a bit of a cheapskate and we were trying to budget our road trip money.

Obwohl das Bistro seit Jahren eine tolle Adresse an der Fasnacht ist, mit immer toller Musik werde ich das Restaurant meiden. Es hat überrissene Preise und schlechte Weinqualität. Die WC sind eine Katastrophe. Sehen aus wie die ganze Nacht nie geputzt. Schade
