This pretty tea room has become a self-service, although there were few customers and 3 people present to "serve" Sunday 4 p.m. the tables on the terrace were all dirty, the ashtrays full...plus I was served my chocolate in a cup chipped on both sides and not hot, my friend wanted a cold chocolate, we told her to help herself to a drink ready in the fridge, deplorable 😏

Very disappointed, we bought the galette des rois for an invitation to dinner and.....disaster!!! No almond paste, only a mixture of flour and dry almond powder without taste, in short a scandal for a bakery which should be better than at Migros where there is at least real almond paste. There were ten of us at the table and I brought this pancake to mark the occasion and well I was uncomfortable because everyone told me.... but what is this dry cake without taste and in short total shame for you, because I clearly said where it came from!! In any case, I'm not going to give you good publicity.......Bakery to avoid.........disgusting!!!!!

Do you want to sink your teeth into a brownie or a cookie? It looks good, strong enough to make the concrete blocks for your house. It's crunchy under your teeth, watch out for the crumbs.👍😁

Self service... you get your food at the counter, your drink in the fridge (PET bottle), your drink on the way out. Worse, a cart on wheels is kindly waiting for you outside to invite you to clear your tray. Result: almost 8 francs for a pain au chocolat and a 500ml drink. At Migros it would have cost me less than 3 francs... And the fusetea paid 3.75 because what consumed there is as undrinkable as the little lady with red hair. THANKS !

You have no shame ?! For 50 years ahahahahah you bought the bakery without changing the name... Shameful practices 🤮 I strongly advise against!!! ___________ The bread is good, the ham croissants and the sandwiches too, however the service is not always great and the pastries are bad (industrial). As for the croissants and pain au chocolat, you immediately feel the Portuguese touch (sweet pastries) of the new owners which affects the quality; Too soft and the chocolate is not quality. There really is a humidity problem in this bakery... Still the best on the street!

Do you have to pay extra to have clean toilets and get a smile from the saleswoman? I thought it was included given the price!

One of my favorite bakeries in Lausanne. Delicious breads, croissants, delicacies etc. Very good lunch meals too.

Staff neither friendly nor smiling, not even a hello. The pâtés are clearly not fresh, the dough is soft and the buttery delights have never seen butter, just margarine at most.

Self-service, passable prune tart, not recommended mango mousse....mushy in the mouth. Tea served on a chipped plate. Expensive for what it is. Fortunately, the students make you come alive. Not friendly at all.

Good evening this place is almost in front of our house very nice bakery pleasant atmosphere and especially the opening hours every day Sunday included from 5:30 a.m. to around 7 p.m. weekdays and weekends morning hours the same and in the evening closing at 5 p.m. it seems to me normal it's the weekend anyway pleasant tea-room bakery good approachable but very busy...super practical and really very pleasant and friendly and above all two very very nice saleswomen here is my opinion...thank you have a nice evening and have a good weekend...bye..

Plus, open weekdays and public holidays even in the afternoon. I like bowls, hearty. Butter pastries and pastries of poor quality and not cheap. Little treats at 1 franc, it's expensive for a mouthful. Great shame, it has become self-service, no more conviviality, and the prices of drinks are the same while there is no service to pay... There was a time when this bakery was worth a detour, the quality was no longer there and the service was sometimes disastrous. I now go a few more meters to go to the competition and get my money's worth, thank you Baumann. I'm not even talking about the hell that this bakery brings to the residents of the building and especially its laboratory which operates 7 days a week with noises, odors and especially the presence of rodents and cockroaches... you said "cockroaches" ? To be avoided given the choice nearby.

2 years ago when I arrived in the area I was delighted to have a quality bakery in my neighborhood. Croissant, breads, rolls excellent! For several months I have been very disappointed with the quality of the pain au chocolats and croissants, particularly on Sundays. During the week, the quality remains good but as soon as the weekend arrives, the quality drops as the weekend progresses. I made this point to them several times and they told me that the baker bakes his bread longer, making it drier… On 12/25/2022, I went to get 2 pain au chocolats which were clearly not fresh that day! I went back to warn that the quality offered was far from a standard that such a bakery must offer and I was told that the breads were fresh daily and that they were fresh... I absolutely don't believe it or else it will be necessary to change the baker who makes them… Given the price and the quality offered, I highly recommend going to the coop or migros, cheaper and much better!

Had lunch on Saturday August 13 and unfortunately very disappointed not with the food which was good but with the behavior of the young person who served us. Unfortunately barely hello while chewing gum, almost no look which means a service that is clearly not there at all and almost negligence in this behavior. I find this a shame knowing the potential of this bakery. I also regret that there is no longer any service inside but just self-service (with no price change). I invite the boss to quickly correct this because living in the neighborhood speaks quickly. Best regards

I went to pick up a birthday gift for 10 people. A certainly very good gift but no price displayed. even if the cake was good, 60 CHF for a cake like this is a steal. There must have been a change of ownership because before I was very happy with this bakery. I'm not going to buy the ba anymore unfortunately.

When I lived in the area (10 years ago) it was my favorite bakery, I loved their ham croissants and I recommended it to everyone... Unfortunately, I think there was a change of ownership, and it became disappointing... The famous ham croissant has diminished in size and lost all its flavor (too much salt and almost liquid)... Not to mention that the tea is served in a cardboard cup, even to be consumed on site... In short, a beautiful bakery taken over by people who seek profit rather than quality...

Very nice staff but really not good merchandise at all! Too salty, too cooked, too heavy, too bland, too undercooked, too poor quality, too expensive, too sugary. It's honestly not good at all, disgusting me.

I just returned, arrived and left without a hello, a thank you and a goodbye. With competition from all the excellent bakeries in the area, this is a place to help out on a Sunday.

I am lowering my rating because in recent months I find that the assortment has decreased, certain pieces no longer exist or have increased in price. In addition, teas and other drinks are very expensive (5chf) and it seems that they want to compete with Sucré Salé which is a sandwich shop that does well. At André Jean-Marc Sa they offer to make sandwiches with bread that is too thick and hard and the contents are not as extensive as at Sucré Salé. Quantity and variety of correct filling, we are far from certain industrial bakeries which sell their sandwiches in a stingy manner. Help, they've gone crazy! I have been a customer for many years and although the prices were always relatively high, agreed to pay for quality. But I learned today that the range has changed (?) and I come out with a loaf of around 500 g at ...8.30.- (around 15-17.- per kilo)... For me a terminal has been taken indecently and there are enough bakeries at normal prices in the surrounding area to avoid supporting such an indecent increase in prices.
