For a visit to Lucerne it was a top address for us with great attention to detail. Be it the free postcards, the photo booth in the basement where you can take free photos or the multi-page “Do not disturb” tag. Plus an excellent restaurant with bar. 👍

When I arrived at the reception I was told that I had been upgraded and could now stay in a junior suite! A wonderful surprise that immediately put me in a positive mood. The friendliness of the staff and the additional gift of a voucher motivated me to dine with my companion in the Anker restaurant that evening. Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, bathrobes kindly provided upon request, clean rooms, nice shower, good breakfast, great location. Cons: No air circulation and no window to open in rooms, no AC, uncomfortably hot to sleep (in February!), the staff was nice enough to move us to a different room with a window but the whole room smelled like a urinal.

New Year's Eve 2023 was spent with five people. New Year's Eve menu was really not good. We had some aisles cleared away because they were so unappetizing or inedible. The main course of the New Year's Eve vegetarian menu was various carrots and a few small potatoes! Festive is definitely different. 2 courses came in platters to share, including dessert. Not our thing when the ice cream balls and the mousse run into each other and are processed by several spoons. We waited 45 minutes for the first course, even though the whole thing only started at 8:15 p.m. We won't come anymore.
