Au Pied de Cochon in Genève

Very pleasant restaurant where we work with local GRTA pork, particularly in full variations, for the accompaniment they are working with Cavaillon asparagus at the moment, a delight! Congratulations also to the duo of very attentive waitresses, very attentive and very nice experience.

Finally a restaurant which serves a Geneva specialty: longeole (pork sausage with fennel). Everything was very good. Please note, it is better to reserve, because the restaurant is very popular (guarantee of quality). NB: sorry for the photo of the main course, I jumped on it before thinking of taking a photo of it. ^^' There are more than 2 slices of sausage in the dish, I assure you (except if you take sauerkraut, obviously, because there are other cold cuts).

It's a shame that good service is spoiled by the quality of the food. We ordered both types of “pied de Cochon” (the specialty) and both had little flavor. You had to mix them with the sauce or you couldn't find the flavor. Lastly, we ordered the low-temperature chicken, which you expect to be tender but far from it. Dry and turns into a ball. I don't understand the good comments about the food, perhaps it wasn't the chefs' best night, but it is a restaurant that I would not recommend with this visit.

Had lunch here and ordered their plat du jour, which was tasty. Service was friendly enough and I wouldn't mind returning in future to try their other items.

Excellent restaurant, impeccable service and delicious food. They saw me so satisfied with the dishes that they even offered me a limoncello. If I return to Geneva, the first restaurant I will pass by will definitely be this one. I highly recommend it.

Excellent gazpacho and excellent service

Typical French cuisine, Open 24h. It’s a safe bet if in Paris. The service is nice though you it is very busy and you will see the waiters running around. You will probably wait a bit if you have not reserved.

Excellent address, I have lived in Geneva my whole life and have never been to Pied de Pig… even though it is an institution. What a mistake, I will remember these ribs forever and the impeccable service (Fabienne a real gem!) smiling, helpful and competent! Rare addition!

A warm and friendly welcome in this restaurant near the cathedral. The meat and vegetables and homemade fries are excellent, the shallot sauce also homemade is a delight. As for the homemade desserts, it's killer. Go there with your eyes closed, you won't regret.

Terrible service! We've been waiting for hot food for 1 hour and 15 minutes. And apparently we will never wait. The child has already eaten all the bread, but still no fish and chips. It’s not clear what the problem is in preparing risotto and steak.

Bad smells in the toilets, not great.

We came here spontaneously and were very positively surprised. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice and we were also able to eat here with our dog. Our food was great, the prices were really good for Geneva and the service was great, super friendly and attentive.

You can try pig's feet dish. Although it uses a different sauce from Korean jokbal, It's a new taste worth experiencing.

Amazing restaurant!! The quality of the charcuterie is excellent, the dishes well garnished and the cocktails very, very good! Very friendly staff and good atmosphere. I had a charcuterie board with rillettes as a starter and a sauerkraut as a main course and frankly I was not disappointed at all. Everything was delicious and I think the desserts too (I didn't taste them because I wasn't hungry anymore). In short, I highly recommend for lovers of good meat and good dishes!

Amazing Valentines Day experience. Immediately seated and welcomed by the host and the chef. The drink options were good, the bottle of wine I had went down a treat. In all honesty most of the food I hadn’t even heard of so my partner and I tried new things across the board. The food was amazing, with a great selection, high in quality and surprisingly in quantity. If you are English the host spoke English moderately well enough for a good service. Recommend a visit and will be revisiting!

Fantastic lunch spot, slow cook lamb was sensational.

This will be a place that we return to! The food was amazing. We had the best French onion soup. My husband did a burger and I had the ribs. The meat was falling off the bone and packed with flavour.

I ate well, however the waiter ignored us to chat for a good quarter of an hour with another customer, fortunately the waitress made up for the colleague's mistake

We spontaneously went out to eat around 8 p.m. The restaurant has an interesting look with all the tiles on the wall. The waiter was alone with a good 10 tables, but he handled it excellently with professionalism, friendliness and speed. The food was tasty and sufficient. The ribs were buttery tender. Unfortunately, our fried side dish wasn't as crispy as we would have liked. In terms of prices, they are normal Swiss prices. At 3.70 Chf for the coffee it's even cheaper. 😁 In the end, we walked out of the restaurant satisfied and happy as a ball.

Very good food, too bad the service is too fast.... We don't have time to have an aperitif as the dishes are already arriving.... Especially since it wasn't a very lively evening either...

A very good surprise. Pleasant setting, friendly staff, good quality, “casa linga” cuisine, traditional menu very focused on pork (no wonder). On the other hand, the quality/price ratio is quite astonishing, in the good sense of the word. Good reasons to return there occasionally.

Good french food and then some, timely and no nonsense service, prices are quite reasonable as well, considering the prime location, and the quality of food and service. Rumor has it the owner founded this place being inspired by the famous and the glamorous 24/7 Paris restaurant with the same name, and I dare say it is currently far better than the original place in Paris which sadly was saturated with "selfie" tourists last time I was there and inevitably went down in quality. So if you crave that piggy foot, this is the place to go now!

We really wanted to try this restaurant when we passed by, but in the end we were a little disappointed. However, the charcuterie starters were good, but the main ribs were a little dry and bland. The biggest problem however is a cruel lack of vigilance for allergies, be careful! I'm deathly allergic to peanuts and I always ask when I order to make sure I don't get any unpleasant surprises. In this case I first asked a waitress who told me she was going to ask, but never came back. So I asked a second waitress who warned me that the fries were made with peanut oil. So I asked for puree instead. Unfortunately when I receive my plate, there are fried onions on it, logically also in peanut oil. I immediately asked for the third time and indeed it was with peanut oil. This is very serious. They changed the plate for me and I was able to eat. We received no discounts or commercial gestures despite the inconvenience.

Very good meal, very pretty room and very good atmosphere. Only downside: a waitress was unfortunately not in a very good mood. It's a hit, I loved it and so did my grandpa. He had venison and I had sauerkraut, the small one. Very nourishing. The quality/price ratio is completely balanced. The only problem is accessibility for people with reduced mobility. Being in the old town, it was complicated. But a great establishment.

This restaurant has been around since 1966. I think there are few restaurants today that can boast of their longevity. Now, as far as service is concerned. There aren't many restaurants in Geneva that have the concept of service. They know how to guide guests from the reception to the end. Absolutely, a hundred percent reception at the highest level. I was reading that someone wrote that their food is not good. What can I say, you can recommend to people like that to go to McDonalds. A person can not come here and say that they do not have good food, if he understands the meaning of food. This is the type of food that is slowly dying out, as it would take a couple of hours to cook their pork shank cutlets, for example. People used to eat fried meat (which is amazingly delicious by the way). We took two different salads and four different dishes - everything was incredibly delicious. By the way, their portions are big. If you like real food, not just hamburger and fried meat - you have to go here.

This is a welcoming restaurant that had extremely friendly service and delicious food - a great find! We shared sardines on toast then ordered the prawn salad and the sea perch - both were very healthy serves with fresh produce evident. Would definitely return again.

My daughter and I came for dinner last October, and she enjoyed the setting, the service and the food so much that she chose to come back to celebrate her 18th birthday. We had a very, very warm and particularly attentive welcome. We had a nice table on the first floor where the atmosphere is more cozy. The service was impeccable and very attentive. The dishes were perfect. A big thank you to the whole team, my daughter will keep unforgettable memories of this evening!

Worst food I have had in Geneva. Hard to get wrong pork based dishes. Every dish was tasteless and just wrong - Including soups, starters and main dishes. We didn’t touch the food - the service staff didn’t care - charged us in full. We ended up going to Burger King after.

Had an amazing experience at Au Pied de Cochon. We had some BBQ Style Sticky ribs and Burger Pied de Coch’, accompanied by some red wine. The meat was so tender and the taste is good. The Café gourmand was very well presented and delicious. Price was fair, for the quality and quantity it is worth. The waiter was really friendly, his name was Cedric (if I am not wrong). His energy and his politeness made our dinner even better ! The restaurant is well placed, possible to reach it by car (street parking) or scooter. No parking infront, but available spots close to the place. I recommend 👍

A customer for over 30 years, I am completely disappointed today by this restaurant! Ordered a “Texan Spar ribs” which was Texan in name only! Inedible dry meat, Heinz sauce, overcooked matchstick potatoes! A disaster! After an abandoned plate and explanation to the waiter, I was not even entitled to a (small) commercial gesture! Thank you and definitely not goodbye!

We enjoyed the pulled pork and the veal. Both were good sized portions and good value. The meal was rounded off well with cafe gourmand with petite fours. The single waiter on duty was highly experienced and very attentive.

High prices for nothing exceptional. I do not recommend cordon bleu which were chewing gum.
