Parking great service Unfortunately, Servicefraz wasn't used to it and we were all on first name terms, not sensitive but disrespectful. She didn't look well-groomed and smelled of cigarettes.

I went there worried because they said the fondue wasn't suited to Korean tastes, but my mom and I, both women, really enjoyed it! I don't know if this place's fondue is delicious, but my mom really enjoyed it. It was like cheese potato soup!! Non-alcoholic? They said I had to ask for it, so I ordered it that way. The roasti was like a thick potato pancake and delicious, but the salmon was a bit salty. And I really wanted to buy two bottles of the beer you recommended and go to Korea. The honey beer taste and the dark beer were just delicious!!!

It was nice to feel the local atmosphere, but I didn't get a good experience with the food or service. I went on a weekday evening and it was quiet, but they deliberately made me sit close to the window. Even though I requested a seat inside, they said no and made the guests who arrived later sit there. I ordered non-alcoholic mushroom soup and fondue. The mushroom soup was so salty that I couldn't eat it, so I didn't have much of it, but I had almost all of it left. The fondue tasted just like I imagined and went well with bread or potatoes. However, it was not a taste that made me want to eat it again.

I don't know where to start... we had an appetizer for two, they didn't bring us placemats or plates so we had to cut the cured meats directly on the wooden stand where they were served or we had to eat the slices whole. Among the cured meats there was nothing special but rather a kind of inedible roast beef. The fondue has a completely unjustified price since it is INEDIBLE, I don't know if a kilo of garlic escaped inside or the garlic was burnt during cooking but it was truly indecent, in any case it had to be tasted in the kitchen and changed because serving such a dish is embarrassing. All topped off with extreme rudeness on the part of the staff who, between giggles and perhaps, given that the fondue returned to the kitchen practically untouched, had to make sure whether everything had gone well or not. Not recommended.

Before we eat there, we asked the reception if we could share a pot of cheese fondue for 2 person. He said we could, and then we sat. Not long, waiter came and we ordered only a pot of cheese fondue and a glass of hot chocolate. She told us "This is a restaurant, we should order a meal and a drink each person, so at least we order 2 glasses of hot chocolate if we only take 1 pot of fondue. We didn't know that, the thing is we had lunch elsewhere but curious about what cheese fondue was all about. It's our fault, i think you guys should know that you should order at least meal and drink per person. But after that, a sir came up and set up our fondue pot, he was so polite and gave us tutorial on how to eat it and everything! Also, the fondue tasted amazing!!

The food was very nice. Sadly, the vegetarian options are quite limited.

We ate cheese fondue here for CHF 30 with free flow of bread and potato. The cheese had a hinge of alcohol taste to it which was good with the potato. Very crowded when visitors like us can’t head up to Grindelwald on bad weather. But it’s a good experience here.

It was still the best fondue I had in Switzerland. The chicken was delicious.

Horrible service. One waitress was simply rude, replying "cut it yourselves" when we asked if it was possible for our burger to be cut in half. The other waitress wasn't very nice either, joking "oh so you're the rich one" to the one of us who picked up the bill. The staff are very loud as well, we couldn't really enjoy our meal in peace, even though we were the only table indoors. Food was fine.

Bad burgers at night, the chicken burger they serve at night are trash burgers, I asked the waiter that the chicken cant be even cut with the knife as its bad he says its not mcdonalds I can give you a better knife and walk away. Never go there to eat.

A place where you always like to come back

Really a nice restaurant where we were able to enjoy finely cooked food again. The wine also tasted wonderful. The service was also excellent. The only suggestion on my part: I was missing real ice cream for dessert. I think soft serve is terrible. Otherwise keep it up! Best regards from us, the four of us enjoyed the evening

Have you ever wanted to have a fondue in a shopping mall? This is the impression of this place! The diner corner is like a corridor where dozen of people are passing by. It’s noisy and cold, far from being trendy. Too bad for us cause we had big hopes. The food is offsetting the experience: fondue was good although a bit limited in quantity, cheesecake was delicious.

Really disappointed with this restaurant. In the photos we expected a typical and warm setting but in the end we had the impression of eating in a corridor with an impersonal and noisy atmosphere. The fondue is good but the cold meat supplement is light, especially at the advertised price. Damage!

We were given a table for two without a lamp. Only 1 candle. Was too dark. We ordered braised veal cheeks. It was tasty, but the meat was rubbery and hard and wasn't braised for long.

Absolutely wonderful few meals. Good to book in winter and high season. Beautiful fondue, nice burger and amazing bbq (reduced price on Sunday) was lovely. Help yourself to salads then put your raw meats and veg on separate plate. They will then cook it and bring to you. Wonderful, pictures don’t do it justice! Also very dog friendly

American Review - Favorite restaurant in Grindelwald! We had a great experience and the steak we shared was delicious. Atmosphere was cozy and they could make a good old fashioned. Our meal was a bit more on the expensive side but appears there are more tame options on the menu. May want to consider a reservation.

We celebrated our wedding with 35 people at Barrys in January and had a really great evening. It was a lot of fun with the team on the evening itself (Cristiano, Dominik, Sascha and Emma), we have rarely had such attentive service! The food was also really fine and tasty, and we also had an extra room for dancing. And last but not least, the organization worked really well in advance with Selina and Daniel, even from a distance (they came from Germany and Spain). A huge thank you to the Barrys team!

Incredible views of the mountains in Grindelwald. We ordered fondue, the lamb dish, and the schnitzel. All of them were tasty and I recommend sitting outside on their patio to really enjoy your surroundings.

Good place, with excellent cocktails and food. We went twice, first to have dinner because it was the only place in Grindelwald that stayed opened after 8pm, and next day for lunch. I had the chefs menu which was a great pumpkin soup and q tagliatelle with chicken and chickpeas. Very good and clean flavor. Husband asked for a Negroni and said was amazing. He also tried the burger which was huge and veal with mushrooms sauce. Both plates were big and great flavor.

We were looking for a place to get cheese fondue and stumbled upon Barrys. Overall food was great, but we had a bit of language barrier that made the experience a bit disappointing. There were only one person who could talk proper English, even though we do not expect people to talk in English. However, the server for our table was a bit demanding that would come off as rude, rushing us as we were about to order and few question of suggestions for us what is best to order. The server just told us very loudly “everything is good” and then just left. We were bit confused, asked for an english speaking server. The food was great, the fondue was better than expected and the meat platter good. At the end of the night, everything got resolved and we left with bitter sweet experience, we were all asians maybe the server wouldn’t have done that if we were with a local or with a “friend” who knows what to order. But would recommend to people for its reputation and experience.

Absolutely horrible service! They don’t know the menu and wine list at all. A man who served me was really rude and one lady served me like a dog, just threw a plate. One of the worst service you can imagine. Food was just ok. Atmosphere was really nice. The only nice point in this ‘restaurant’

We were warmly welcomed by the North German receptionist. We were here in Grindelwald for 7 days and tried a new restaurant every day, this was the best in terms of food. My salmon rösti was simply wonderful, highly recommended. 👍

The Chinese fondue is always wonderful - the wine list is excellent - the service is perfect! Barry's is very harmonious and simply puts you in a good mood.

First of all we reserved a table and it was very nice, but after we ordered we waiting a long time and my boyfriend got a schnitzel which ended up raw inside, the staff quickly took it away and made a new portion which was nice 👍 But the food was quite expensive and not as flavourful and worth it in my option. My salmon I liked though so would recommend!

As a starter I had the soup of the day, carrots/ginger. This soup was really delicious. For my main course I had Pedro's Rösti. We were served very nicely, the service was great. We made a reservation in the Stübli with our dog, which also has a very great atmosphere.

We actually didn't have a place, but a very courteous employee called us back because something suddenly became available and told us that a place had become available, which made us very happy!
