Beside the fact that in the website the restaurant looks temporarily closed until 23rd May and it's actually open (full of people inside sit close together), yesterday we have been waiting in the terrace for 40 minutes to be served and nobody came. I went in and asked the waiter if we could order. The girl (a blond one) replied in a quite bothered manner that she would have come. We have waited other 20 minutes and nobody came. It's clear that they don't care about customers...don't go there!! Go to Avogado bar, nice people, nice service, great cocktails

Im Zuge einer Kooperation (Aufbuchung HP) des Grindewalderhof´s und dem Restaurant Barrys konnten wir einige Male hier zu Abend essen. Wir wurden kein einziges Mal enttäuscht. Das Essen (3gängiges Menü) war immer sehr schmackhaft und ausreichend portioniert. Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist sehr angenehm und gemütlich. Was der ein oder andere vielleicht als störend empfindet, ist die etwas jazzlastige Hintergrundmusik. Das Personal war immer höflich, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Bemerkenswert war auch, dass die Chefin des Hauses sich persönlich am Tisch vorstellte und das Gespräch suchte.

Im Barrys kann man gemütlich verweilen und gut essen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Auch als Gast von drei weiteren Hotels hat man die Möglichkeit hier das Halppensions Essen zu konsumieren. Super Angebot

Stopped by one the way back to the hotel for hot drinks and cake. Lovely setting, great staff, great cakes and from what I could see and smell the main menu was very good.Staff were very friendly and helpful

De locatie zou je niet zo gauw uitkiezen ...naast een tennishal ...maar binnen ziet het er gezellig uit, en het eten is heerlijk en goed betaalbaar, en een ruime keuze!!! Ook specialiteiten uit Georgië... Bovendien is de eigenaar heel erg vriendelijk, kwam een praatje maken ...gaf uitgebreid uitleg over de menukaart ... Kortom...echt een aanrader!!!

Auch wir waren spontan im Memory mit unserem 4-Jährigen. Uns wurde ein Platz im Nebenraum angeboten (gegenüber der Rezeption des Hotels). Die Bedienung und der Service waren sehr gut und sehr freundlich und auch das Essen war sehr gut (wir hatten Käsefondue und der Kleine ein leckeres Kindergericht). Lediglich die Nähe zur Tür machte es ein wenig ungemütlich, da desöfteren Menschen hereinkamen, die dann auch jedes mal die Kälte von draussen mitbrachten. Dies hat unsere Begeisterung für dieses Restaurant jedoch nicht geschmälert und wir möchten es jedem wärmstens empfehlen. Auch wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen wenn wir mal wieder in Grindelwald sind.

Von der telefonischen Reservierung, über die sehr nette Bedienung, bis zum hervorragenden Essen, einfach spitze!Sehr gemütliches Ambiente mit jazziger Hintergrundmusik in angenehmer Lautstärke.Die Tische sind zudem mit ausreichend Abstand zueinander platziert (evtl. auch wegen Corona...).Kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder, falls es uns wieder mal nach Grindelwald zieht :-)17.10.2020

Spontan aufgrund der Lage, haben wir dieses Lokal ausgewählt. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Auswahl ist nicht allzu gross, aber genau richtig. Die gewählten Burger war nahezu perfekt. Danke. Gerne wieder

Well located but the food quality was quite low from what I tried. The frites were quite oily and the hamburger lacked taste.

Standardessen für jeden der Hunger hat. Die Finesse und Kreativität fehlt. Grosse Portion ist eher klein und stillt gerade den kleinen Hunger.

Ce restaurant est magnifique. Ambiance tamisée au style "chalet" et une cuisine délicieuse. Il en vaut le détour ! Nous avons été très bien servis et pouvons que recommander cette adresse au cœur de Grindelwald.

Das Fontue war.eines der Besten die ich hatte

퐁듀, 뢰스티 드라큘라, 탄산수, 레드와인 주문시켰어요. 베스트는 탄산수에요. 물이 이렇게 맛있을수가 있구나 싶었어요. 드라큘라 뢰스티는 호불호 없이 무난한맛이구요, 퐁듀는 인내심이 필요해요. 바로나왔을때는 화이트와인향이 너무 강해서 못먹겠더라구요. 그런데 끓인지 30분쯤 지나니 슬슬 치즈맛이 나면서 식사가 끝날때 되니 맛있어졌어요. 와인자체가 별로는 아닌데 퐁듀랑 같이먹으려 시켰다 망했구요 ㅎㅎ 탄산수드세요 두번세번드세요 ㅎㅎ 퐁듀 드실분은 1시간은 천천히 식사한다 생각하고 시켜놓고 천천히 드세요.

Wir wollten eigentlich nur schnell etwas essen und habe diese Perle gefunden. Freundliches Personal und sehr leckeres Essen. Letzteres wird zügig serviert, so dass niemand am Tisch verhungert. Wir konnten den 2er Platz direkt an der Theke ergattern welcher etwas abseits vom restlichen Trubel ist.

While looking for a place for dinner, found their menu and saw Dracula's Nightmare and fell immediately in love with the place. The food was excellent and the apple strudel was the perfect way to balance all the garlic! Very friendly staff and warm atmosphere.

I never expected good food or good customer service at any tourist destination. But dining at Memory surprised me. The service was awesome, the waitress we had was super friendly and professional. The food were fresh, flavorful and in nice portion. Overall, you had very good dining experience with this restaurant 👌.

Sehr nettes Lokal und Bedienung. Der hausgemachte Eistee ist empfehlenswert. Ausserdem hatte man auch keine Probleme mit unseren Spezialwünschen.

Qualität vom Essen ist nicht gut.

Älplermagronen: CHF 24 ~ Lokalität: Sehr gelungene Einrichtung mit traditionellen und modernen Elementen. Sehr sauber drinnen und von draussen ein Blickfang. ~ Essen: War sehr gut und sehr schön präsentiert. Der Wein war auch sehr gut. Das einzige, was ein wenig fraglich ist, sind die anfallenden hohen Kosten für (böse gesagt) Leitungswasser, welches man zum Wein gerne hätte. ~ Personal & Service: Freundliche und kompetente Bedienung, die leider jedoch etwas gehetzt wirkt, da es schlicht sehr wenig Personal gibt verglichen zur beträchtlichen Tischanzahl. -> Fazit: War ein solides Abendessen. Preis/Leistung ist definitiv gut! Vielen Dank!

Bei unserem Besuch war alles gut. Wir konnten einen Sitzplatz draussen ergattern und wurden sehr freundlich bedient. Der Ausblick auf den EIger ist phänomenal und die Preise passen auch. Wir haben eine Röstipfanne mit Fleisch und einen Burger probiert. Beide Essen waren wirklich lecker und frisch. Ich würde hier eigentlich ebenfalls, wie bereits im Barry, eher 4.5 Sterne geben, aber auch in diesem Fall entscheide ich mich zu Gunsten des Lokals ;-) mahalo Phil

Tasty burgers for a reasonable price (for Switzerland) and good service. However, I did not appriciate finding paper inside my burger! I was offered an espresso as an apology (which I did not take).

Comme toujours superbe accueil plats délicieux. Un point positif du covid ils ont développer un QR code qui mène à la carte depuis notre téléphone et nous pouvons voir les photos des plats, c'est alléchant. Merci

日本人の女性オーナーがおられました。 メニューも豊富でフォンデュやラクレット、ロシュティなど名物が食べられるし、お値段はこのあたりでの平均的です。 日本語メニューの内容に惹かれて注文した魚のフライトポテトの盛り合わせは「どちらかというとキッズメニューよ」と教えてくれました。 でもビールのあてが欲しかったのでそれでもいいとお願いをしましたが、大人でも十分満足できるボリュームでした。 オーナーはいつも忙しそうにされてますが、丁寧に教えてくれます。 日本人のグリンデルヴァルトビギナーはここに来るとホッとできるお店ですね。 また行きたいです。

After Onkel’s Tom debacle (my other review on the pizzeria ) we dined out in Memory and we did not regret the decision. Wifey ordered vegetarian burger(wasn’t a fried patty which I was expecting) I ordered chicken burger which was a well cooked chicken breast in sesame buns with loaaaadz of fries. The best part was desert - coffee and chocolate vanilla ice- cream. Sounds like just another ice cream no they taste out of the world. Staff was courteous, engaging and prompt. Sorry could not take photographs.

아주 평화로운 오후였다. 여행 일정 중 처음으로 계획을 세우지 않았다. 뒹굴거리다 점심 먹으러 나와 아이거뷰가 보이는 테라스에 앉았다. 날 좋고 아이거 경치도 좋고. 음식도 맛있다. 일정 가득한 날보다 더 좋은 하루였다. 드라큘라, 라끌렛 다 맛있다. Appenzeller, Rugenbrau 맥주도 참 좋았다.

Love this place. We go every time we are in town. The food is traditional and amazing. I went for the smaller portion and it was more than enough. The only down side is getting a table. They need a bigger place!

전 현지맛 느끼기 위해 주는 대로 먹었어요. 추운 겨울이 되면 스위스 사람들이 퐁듀를 즐겨먹는다는데 그 이유를 알것 같네요. 제가 생각하는 치즈와는 전혀 달랐고 느끼함이 전혀 없었습니다. 알콜향이 가득해서 따뜻한 느낌이 들어 오히려 더 매력적이더라구요. 간은 이미 돼있어서 저는 후추 뿌려먹는게 제일 취향이었어요! 아 그리고 여기 감자 미쳤습니까? 같은 감자인데 감자맛을 뛰어 넘는 감자였습니다. 먹으면서 계속 감탄했습니다. 스위스 요리 경험하기에 충분한 곳인것 같습니다. 호불호가 갈릴수 있다는 점은 고려하시구요. 저는 극호호호호호였어요

나름 괜찮았어요~ 인종차별도 없고!!그러나 퐁듀의 치즈는 한국에서 먹는거랑은 많이 다르다는걸 알아야해요~

Don't be confused by the neighboring restaurant called Barry's which offers a similar menu at a slightly higher price! Once you enter this establishment, you'll be greeted by a warm cozy setting bustling with energy from the friendly waiting staff. Do make a reservation or go early as this place is quite popular and the non-stop flow of customers can seem to overwhelm the staff here. That aside, they serve reasonably priced food (go for the burgers!) And get the fondue (bonus tip: let the bottom crisp up to get some delicious caramelized cheesy goodness). In addition, try some of their local Swiss warm drinks to go with the fondue too!

Staff is friendly and helpful in recommending us the portion we needed to order so as not to order too much or too little. The atmosphere here is nice and cosy too. It is the same cosy feel in most Switzerland restaurant. Dinner time is quite packed and we had to wait for a little while as we needed a bigger table. But the wait is not very long. I would recommend the garlic fries here! It's only CHF5, and it's super tasty.

Such an experience! I would highly recommend this restaurant as a touristic destination because of it ornaments, environment and nice services; it's semms to always be active but comfortable. Waiters are really nice and speak German, French and English (maybe a bit of Spanish to, I really suspect they do). There is a parking lot 5 minutes walking. There are bar, inside tables and outside tables (if it is not raining or snowing). Wouldn't say it's the best wheelchair access, but it's adjustable. Restrooms are clean and discreet. There's a place to change baby's dippers and handicap's cabins or adapted cabin, just ask for those last 2. Their hamburgers are the best! They are socially responsable, you can drink mineral water while promoting free and clean water culture in zones where there's not such facility. It is call "Water for water". Amaizing idea!

저는 드라큘라 뢰스티(작은거)를 친구는 라끌렛을 시켰는데 처음엔 양이 작아보여 걱정했는데 먹어보니 생각보다 양이 많았어요! 그리고 무료 탭워터는 없는 것 같더라구요 맥주랑 먹으면 좋을 것 같아요~ 개인적으로 라끌렛이 더 제 취향이었네요 치즈가 존맛이에요!! 뢰스티는 으깬 감자에요 그냥 ㅋㅋ

직원분들도 진짜 친절하시고 맛있어요 그래서 이틀 연속으로 가서 먹었어요 ㅋ

Das Personal ist sehr gut mehrsprachig, freundlich und kompetent. Die Speisekarte ist einfach aber autentisch. Besonders schmackhaft sind die verschiedenen Röstivarianten.

The memory burger is really tasty

If u lean to salty food, maybe this place is suitable for you. The service of the staff was ok, depend if you are serve by an experienced staff. We ordered cheese fondue, beef burger, and rosti. 1 time experience for this restaurant is enough. Side story: You will see I uploaded 2 different table in the photo. First, we are being told the dinning area is full and we can wait a the bar which has smaller table. We are fine to wait as this is recommended by friend been here. 5 min later a staff (Noemi) would like us to order while we waiting for a proper dinning table, and I have told her we want to order few foods and don’t think the table can put all in, but she insist to take the order and said the table is fine. While the food is being prepare, we saw an empty square table that we find it can put all the food, requested but Ms Noemi insisted we cannot change the table. I find she just want to save the trouble and unexperienced enough. After Cheese fondue and Rosti on the table, we clearly see that there is no space for the burger and she still say it will be a small burger and can fit into the table. Another staff that bring the burger has realized the situation and I do highlight again we have clarified before we make the order, and now we cannot put the burger. Lucky enough the experienced staff manage to change a better table for us, and I do appreciate her. The whole dining experience was spoilt by the start, she don’t even apologies at the end. :(

스위스에 밤늦게 도착했는데 늦게까지 운영하더라구요. 많이 추천해준대로 메모리 버거 스몰(150g, 감튀추가안함), 치즈퐁듀(논알콜), 루겐브로이맥주(다크 저그사이즈) 둘이서 먹었는데 배불렀어요 ㅋㅋ 저그먹어서 그런가 암튼 버거가 살짝 짜긴한데 맛있엇고 퐁듀도 저는 너무 맛있었습니다. 서버들도 친절하고 음식은 10시까지하고 술은 더 늦게까지 마실수 있다고 하네요

首先，食物非常非常的难吃。鸡肉混着一堆杂七杂八的调料，无比的咸，嚼起来的口感如同蜡一般。与此同时，牛肉也是一样，咸到让人昏迷。那个汤喝起来一股塑料味，同样的，很咸。其次，服务态度很差，明明是我们先来，但是却先服务了后来的本地人。地方也很小很挤，这是我们去过那么多个国家那么多餐馆，最差的一个，没有之一，如果有零分的话绝对给零分，严重不推荐。

I have tried the beef burger, it surely is juicy

We went for lunch and had a burger each. The chicken burger was very tasty and the the chips were good. The price was not bad (by Swiss standard). The waitress was very friendly and even gave us some suggestions on travelling around the area.

After a full day in the snow, eating in the cheese fondue cave was a good way to end the day. A variety of cheeses and dips led to a hearty meal. We also had a Rosti which was also delicious.

솔직히 스위스니까. 그린델바르에 와서 외식 한번 해보고 싶으니까 와보는 곳이다. 맛 : 퐁듀(알콜) 별 두개.. 원래 이런맛인가? 메모리버거 별 세개.. 햄버거 메인인듯 한데. 솔직히 맛은 없다. 서비스 : 별 네개. 친절하다. 우리는 논알콜 퐁듀를 먹고 싶었으나, 되는지 모르겠다. 알콜이 와서 그걸로 먹었다. 그린델바트에 오기전에 맛있는집을 찾아서 먹고오길 추천한다. 사진은 안올린다.

전반적으로 짠 느낌이 있어서 덜 짜게 해달라고 하면 좋을 것 같아요. 홀서버들 모두 친절하고 재밌어요ㅋㅋㅋ

I think the food could be way better than it is. I don’t think I’ll be back. However, service was good, food came out quickly and they were very kind.

In unseren Ferien übernachteten wir im Hotel Eiger. Daher war es naheliegend, dass wir in diesem Bistro / Restaurant das Abendessen einnahmen. Das Fondue war sehr gut. Auch der Wein und die Bedienung war sehr gut und freundlich.

Hier gibts super Rösti, natürlich Fondue und einige leckere Burger. Das Personal ist mega freundlich und an der Bar kann man es auch lustig haben. Eine tolle Adresse.

Es gibt eine übersichtliche Karte mit interessanten Varationen von klassischen Gerichten. Ausserdem gibt es wöchentlich zwei wechselnde Specials. Wir waren gleich zwei Mal dort. Am ersten Abend haben wir einen Straussenburger mit Wasabimayo und Mangochutney gegessen, dazu gab es hausgemachte Fries. Ausserdem ein Rösti mit gemischtem Fleischspiess und sehr guter Sauce. Am zweiten Abend haben wir ein Käsefondue bestellt. Das war sehr gut, nicht zu dickflüssig und es gab gutes Brot und Kartoffeln dazu. Das Fondue war so angenehm, dass wir uns danach mal nicht total voll gefühlt haben.Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, gut aufgestellt und flott unterwegs. Wir haben durch Unterhaltungen an den Nachbartischen bemerkt, dass auch andere Gäste mehr als einmal dort gegessen haben.Wirklich empfehlenswert, es ist dort auch sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und man fühlt sich wohl.

Wir waren am 26. November abends. Aus gesundheitlichen Gründen bestand eine der Parteien darin, sich strikt vegan zu ernähren. Der Ort war abgesehen von uns leer. Die Kellnerin sagte, sie würde den Koch fragen, ob er etwas tun könne. Sie kam zurück und sagte, wir könnten einen einfachen Salat haben. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass alles andere bereits in Butter vorgefertigt und gekocht war, einschließlich Gemüse und Röstis. Die Tatsache, dass er sich nicht die Mühe machen konnte, unserem Freund zu helfen, ließ uns spüren, dass sein Essen die Kosten nicht wert war und wir gingen. Als wir gingen, gestikulierte der Koch und sagte etwas, was wir nicht hörten. Eine sehr sehr unangenehme Erfahrung und Sie sollten sich schämen.

Decent place for a burger. Most places were closed during the mid afternoon. This place was empty, but still was serving food. I got the small main burger and it was good. First time trying raclette cheese as well and it was not too bad. Prices were friendly.

オフシーズンにグリンデルワルドを訪れました。営業中のお店が少ない中、数少ないオープン中のお店で有り難く思ったものです。

스위스 퐁듀 워낙 유명해서 맛집 찾아갔습니다. 현지인들도 많이 있었고, 한국 분들도 몇 분 계셨네요 현지맛을 느낄 수 있었고 종업원분이 유쾌하고 친절해서 좋았습니다.

The taste is good. but it is small in quantity. There aren't so much restaurants in Grindelwald. so you can't help having dinner at least one time if you stay in Grindelwald for more than 2 nights

매우친절합니다. 오리지날버거 추천합니다. 맥주도 좋았습니다. 퐁듀도 먹을만한데 조금 짭니다. 하지만 퐁듀자체가 그러니 체험삼아드셔보세요.

スイス到着3日目でまだスイス料理を食べていなかった為、歩きながら探していたらテラス席があり人も入っているこちらのお店を見つけ、入ってみました。チーズフォンデュとサラダバー(ボウルに1回のみもれる)とおすすめのRostiのDRACULA’S NIGHTMAREをオーダー。チーズフォンデュが思ったよりワインの味がすごく、びっくりしましたが、どれもおいしかったです。人気のお店のようなので、すんなり入れてよかったです。

We were seated outside because the dining room was full. I ordered their tomato soup and a meat entree called Dracula. To be very honest, I did not enjoy either. The soup was way too sour and the entree was small and not tasty. I usually don't like writing negative reviews but when I asked for a glass of water, I was asked if I wanted a litre of 1/2 litre, I knew there was a price tag attached. I wouldn't have minded if it was bottled water but this was not. Isn't serving your customer a glass of water basic service?
