The Great Zug in Baar

We were welcomed very nicely. The service staff was very friendly. We ordered bruschetta and salad as starters and then various meat dishes. We had to wait about 50 minutes before only the bruschetta came, which had almost no tomatoes. 10 minutes later the rest of the starter and the main course came together. The plates were not as decorated as described in the menu and the food was lukewarm. We won't be coming back.

For our first visit to The Great Zug we were satisfied with the service as well as the food, it was fresh and the price was top! The location also looks great and not a run-of-the-mill restaurant!

The food and location are truly wonderful, and the service provided is exceptional. However, we had hoped for a relaxing lunch with our family, but the music played was very very loud and far from enjoyable. While we can appreciate good balkan music, the selection played on that day was not up to par. I understand that music preference is a subjective matter, but if it's not too much trouble, would you kindly consider the music selection in the future? There are numerous great balkan performers such as Dragojevic, Balasevic, Samardzic, Joksimovic … that may enhance the overall dining experience.

All in all a disappointment! There is definitely a lack of quality, organization and planning here, which is a shame because the restaurant is beautifully decorated.

There is no mention of “great” anywhere here. Online reservations are not valid despite confirmation. After consultation, a reservation was made and a table was ready for us. After the menu was handed out, employees kept walking past our table. However, our order was taken 15 minutes later. Starter was delivered with the main course, but was the least of the problems of all. During the entire "stay" they didn't even ask if they wanted any more drinks. So we sipped our aperitif glasses all evening....the service staff kept walking past us, but no one thought to clear the table. When a lady (black hair) decided to clear away from us, she seemed unmotivated and took a plate with her. It took at least another 10 minutes for the other two plates to be cleared away. Nobody here cared whether it tasted good and everything was OK (cevapes were delicious). The one starter that wasn't delivered was taken off the bill without any problems. As soon as the money was collected, the employee turned away from us. We didn't hear a "en beautiful abe", "hvala da ste nam bili gosti" from any of the 6 people present. Hospitality seems to be a foreign word here. it's a shame, we would have liked to consume more; But if no one asks...we were really looking forward to the evening in Zug. Looking back, it would have been better if our reservation hadn't been found - we would have been spared the disappointing evening.

Very disappointing for such a lovely restaurant. Interior: top Kitchen: the only disaster (Cebapcici served by Denner, house specialty “Great Platter” pieces of meat diced together at an overpriced price but not even the size of a child. Service: Bad to catastrophic very unprofessional. Entertainment: Listless chatter Prices: everything is overpriced (drinks from 10 p.m. are twice as expensive Mineral water until 10 p.m. Fr.4.50 from 10 p.m. Fr.7.00 All in all, just a disappointment

I wanted to eat something with my colleague and we ordered the food at 9:00 p.m. At 9:55 p.m. the waiter told us it would be ready in 15 minutes (now 55 minutes, which is far too long). We waited 15 minutes and still nothing, I actually wanted to leave because I saw it, but we were still waiting. The food arrived at 11 p.m. but the meat was RAW inside, I'm not sure if the cook is aware that this can lead to food poisoning, I was very sick the next day and I've heard that from others too heard. There is definitely a lack of quality, organization and planning here, which is a shame because the restaurant is beautifully decorated. First and last time.

Food good, service friendly, atmosphere great. Unfortunately the cheesecake wasn't real but only with cream instead of cream cheese and the live music was way too LOUD... you'll have hearing damage, sorry.. completely exaggerated, no one wanted to turn it down. It's a shame. You could NOT have a conversation at the table!

Nice personel. A bit understaffed that evening but tried hard. Cold plate very fine and price-performance ratio is right. Serbian white wine very good. The ambience makes an appealing impression, but some details were not paid attention to during the renovation. And one more small note. Please be sure to keep the toilet clean, even if there are a lot of visitors.

We were there on a Wednesday evening . Unfortunately the only guests.. cordon bleu was fantastic.. service good and good suggestions. Wine list can improve.. a little cold ..

Very nice resti with super fine food, which is also a visual experience. The staff was very friendly, you were even greeted personally by the manager. The prices are also surprisingly normal for such a chic shop. Happy to come back👏👍

From the reception to the farewell, everything was great. Snezana is an extremely personable, friendly and competent service, and we were also personally greeted by the managing director. From the starter to the dessert, the food was very convincing both visually and in terms of taste. We'd love to come back.
