MY oriental cuisine in Baar

Parking situation is incredible! I parked there for 10 minutes to pick up take away from my oriental cuisine. I then received a fine of CHF 90 from the very dubious company unisecur. There will be no response to objections. That's a disgrace! I will probably never get food there again. A PITY. The restaurant didn't deserve it.

Very tasty food and friendly service. Interesting menu with house specialties. We've been there many times and ordered - it's always been top quality and tasty! Nice that you are in Baar.

I feel sorry for the operators of My Oriental: there are always so many negative reviews about parking fines from people who haven't visited the restaurant. Apparently the property owner has commissioned a dubious Azoger company to monitor the parking spaces. The restaurant doesn't deserve these bad reviews. I've been to My Oriental several times, both at lunchtime and in the evening. Up until now I have always eaten very well. Although the restaurant doesn't look very inviting from the outside, it is surprisingly dignified inside. At lunchtime, popular Asian dishes are offered at affordable prices. The evening menu includes various dishes that are rarely available otherwise. The prices are quite moderate for Zug.

We parked for less than 10 minutes and received a parking fine of CHF 90.00!! Are you crazy??! This is an absolute disgrace. A restaurant like that doesn't deserve any customers! I will never come eat here. If you read the other comments you won't miss anything anyway.. Shame on you!

Actually I just wonder, if so many people include ourselves had troubles with your parking space and got a big fine, why don’t you do something about it, rather than getting bad review to ruin your strength which is cooking? You can easily cancel this parking spots and let customers use Audi parking!! Or you actually also share money from the fine since it is watched by private security?

This restaurant is very nice looking and the food is okay. I gave 3 stars because the portions are very small considering the price (we ordered stir fries, rice and soup).

Beware of the parking trap. My friend let me out of the car and then drove away. 90CHF buses. I will definitely never go to a restaurant like this that hires a parking lot surveillance company like that.

I've been eating there for over a year, most recently in December 2023. Rating unchanged from the last few times: Delicious food, friendly service, reasonable prices. And no, NO parking trap, NO fines, nothing, nada! I've never had any problems because of it. It is written MULTIPLE times which parking spaces are available Restaurant are assigned. Once even at the entrance door. So I can't understand all the fuss. You just have to be able to read. And by the way, these fines are NOT issued by the restaurant, but by the owner of the property, even 20min reported on this. I would like people to use their brains and common sense before unfair claims are spread here.

Be careful, even if you eat in the restaurant you will get a fine of 200 Fr for parking! Fraud!!!

It is unfortunate and in no way recommended to support such a rip-off. Our own experiences and numerous reviews show that parking spaces are offered here for which you will subsequently receive a hefty fine.

They make mistakes in preparing order, een in front of photo the deny it and refuse to correct their own mistake. Ordered home delivery (have a flue) and they told me if I want I can go and pick right order myself. Not at all good customer attitude, quite unpolite over the phone.

The food and service in the restaurant are among the best in the canton. The menu also includes some specialties that you cannot easily find in other Asian restaurants in the canton. However, if you arrive by car, you must be very careful to only park in the parking spaces marked by the restaurant and only when the restaurant is open. Good day, I haven't eaten with them and I never will because they've already scared me away. I dared to stand in their parking lot for 10 minutes to ask for directions because I'm not from Baar and got a fine for it, which I really can't understand, but as I said, you can scare your guests away in advance that they will never eat with them and I will pass this on to everyone I know. Thank you for being such a great restaurant... I wish you the best of luck in running a company because you will definitely need it.

Recommended. Good food and good atmosphere. It is advisable to walk directly from the parking lot to the restaurant and back, otherwise you risk a fine (video surveillance). Not as cheap as it used to be: For example, a red curry with jasmine rice now costs 2.50 chf more than about 2 years ago.

I stopped on site and ended a phone call. I received a fine of 90 for the short stop, which was a disgrace. I will definitely never eat in one of these rented rooms or in the restaurant.

Thieves... Park your car on the customers' parking, have lunch and then 2 days later you will receive an 80chf fine. When you call them they tell you they can't do anything. And the food... Just average. Stay away from that restaurant!!

Very good selection of Asian dishes. I have eaten at My Oriantal several times with my wife or friends. Always very friendly service and delicious food. Not exactly cheap, but in relation to the quality.

Amazing food, amazing service. I parked at the aldi car park and when I went to pay the ticket, it was free so no sob story about people illegally parking in a restaurant space when they don't eat there anyway and getting a ticket ha!

Ordered various dishes for the family. Some of the satay skewers (chicken) were not cooked through. Despite contacting the restaurant, there was no response. That's what I call absolutely bad service..

Re-use oil is one thing customer may found... We get it, to save cost. Interesting insight behind the curtain.. Also, sometimes mistake is not from the staff but they got the blame from both side, the onwer and customer. Be reasonable, people. Go to the chef!

I have had lunch there several times. The food is very good, the prices are fair and the service is friendly.

While the food tastes alright, they (re-)use old cooking oil for everything that's fried, which gave me a 2-day streak of diarrhea last time. Avoid at all cost!

I ate in a restaurant and got a fine of 200 CHF 3 days later. They told me when I got the receipt from the restaurant visit, they would withdraw the fines. Unfortunately I didn't have this. I recommend everyone to avoid this restaurant.

My absolute favorite Thai restaurant. The food is excellent and the service is always friendly. Good prices, especially the lunch menu. We already ordered take away for over 30 people and our guests were thrilled with the food. Regarding the parking spaces: If you really just go to the restaurant, you won't have any problems!! This regulation with the fines comes from the owner and has nothing to do with the restaurant itself!

I have wanted to eat at this restaurant with the family for a long time. The menu looks very interesting. However, I have now received information from many friends that you will get hefty parking fines here if you cannot prove that you have eaten here, so I have changed my mind and decided not to visit.

The restaurant parking lot was completely empty. I parked and wanted to ask the restaurant if I could park for a moment, unfortunately it was closed. In my naivety, I thought I wouldn't harm the restaurant if I parked briefly since it was closed, so I parked there for about 10 minutes. Back I had a fine of 200 under the windshield wiper. Of course it's clearly my mistake, but for me the company Unisecur is very questionable. They sit in front of their screens like vultures and as soon as they recognize a criminal, a fine is immediately issued, which is of course a great business and quick money. But these gentlemen who pocket the money also have no pockets on their shirts.

That's a huge impudence. I just got a fine of 120 francs. I even stood next to my car. I only made a quick arrangement with a colleague. I'm from the city of St Gallen. I've never been there. I'll never have to leave again, as you can see yes the SG license plates you can tolerate it for once and not just rip people off I think I will report them because it is a scam I will take legal action you are absurd

We also only received 80CHF parking fines here (restaurant was closed) because we stopped for 7 minutes to breastfeed our crying daughter. - Sorry about the restaurant, but we definitely won't come that way.

Our favorite Asian restaurant in the area. The food is amazing, always fresh, tasty and plentiful. We used to have their take out very frequently, still drive there on occasion just for the food, now that we've moved away. P.S. Their ratings have been lowered by many negative reviews regarding some parking situation. Don't know whether that's been resolved, but I find it wholly unfair with regards to the outstanding food and nice people working there.

Pure money-making with the parking spaces. My wife eats there regularly. Because she left the car parked for 15 minutes after a meal and went to the bank, a penalty notice came to her house. My wife is also now tired of continuing to visit this restaurant.

Super friendly service. As far as the food is concerned - in my opinion one of the best restaurants in Switzerland for people who like Asian cuisine. The dishes also have a very Malaysian touch with authentic Malaysian dishes, which you rarely find in Switzerland. The ambience is also great and free parking is available for guests. DANGER: You should be careful here. If you use a parking lot to pick up a meal, be sure to keep the receipt. The parking lot is monitored with video surveillance and you may receive a ticket if you cannot provide a valid receipt. This will cost you 120 CHF and if you want to appeal you will have to prove that you were allowed to park. Even better, the UNISECUR company then charges 80 CHF for the processing, regardless of how long you stood there. It is important that you keep all supporting documents and, if in doubt, contact the relevant authorities if you believe you have been unfairly prosecuted. Basically, you might just want to avoid the restaurant.

The 1-star reviews probably refer almost exclusively to the parking system, as the Restraunt really can't help it if customers and non-customers can't park correctly; Parking fines go to the municipal treasury and not to the restaurant, so these allegations are also unfounded.

In fact, the property owner is probably very careful to ensure that no one parks in his parking spaces without authorization (some of which are given to the restaurant as customer parking spaces) - probably also a bit overzealous (see other reviews here) - which has probably led to unsightly fines. However, it does not correspond to the fact that the restaurant tenant enriches himself from the parking fines imposed by the property owner. On the contrary: If it turns out that a parking fine was issued unjustified, it will be withdrawn.

Rip-offs ATTENTION!!! I wanted to get something to eat at 2:30 p.m. unfortunately it was already closed, I barely walked there and I quickly grabbed a kebab to go because I was HUNGRY and wanted to eat there. I didn't think anything of it and lo and behold after a few weeks there was a FINE OF 120.- for illegal parking AND a compensation of 80.- thus 200.- for a lunch that never even took place. If you're closed and customers don't notice because you just want to drop by spontaneously, you're ripping them off to the bone!!! Disgrace!!! Choking on the money… never again and certainly not recommended.

The parking spaces are marked as parking spaces belonging to the restaurant. This means that the right of use lies with the restaurant and thus also any issuing of unboxed contributions. Very poor performance and making excuses to avoid responsibility. It seems to me as if the restaurant is creating an additional source of income. We were in the parking lot for about 5 minutes at off-peak times. My wife and children even stayed in the car until I returned. Very weak!!!

I will never enter this restaurant again. Reserve parking spaces for customers and then send a fine worth 80CHF 2 days later. Your business model works if you get 80CHF to lose a customer.
