The food and the service were just perfect. I’m not giving 5 stars because I feel a bit pricy but it is the only improvement I can find here.

This is the most worse restaurant what I ever been to, I try to eat here couple times , it is was horrible teste , because I live in hotel , I thought this is restaurant follow of good quality, don’t recommend this place for dinner

We ordered beef tartar as starter and the fish and lamb for main. The food is very tasty and the portion is fair in Swiss. Also ordered two drinks. And cocktail is fine and named by the peaks - Jungfrau. The service is very good. All the waitress serve us with a big smile and very friendly! Also there is music and singing from the bar so we enjoy the dinner a lot!

We went to the restaurant for dinner. It is not recommended. The service was not good for a mini luxury restaurant. Only water was offered to drink and if you wanted something else, we were ignored and ignored by the service. The food wasn't really satisfactory. The starter was okay, hazelnut salad and pumpkin soup. For the main course we had rib and a beef fillet. The beef fillet was more rare than medium rare and the rib piece was 70% fat only. Price-performance is not right at all.

We ate at BG's for my birthday dinner. We booked directly with the restaurant earlier in the day and arrived at 6P. The atmosphere was very calming and everything was clean and tidy. The staff was absolutely wonderful and the chef, OMG, what a kind man. Prior to dinner he came out welcomed us personally. The food was delicious from beginning to end. The waitress gave us recommendations and we took her up on most of them except the cheese plate. As an unexpected treat, she presented us with an array of different breads alongside of a mix of olive oil, sea salt and pepper, and butter. On the side she gave us a type of spiced whipped cheese. It was honestly one of the best non-appetizers appetizers I've ever had. Then the food came. I had Irish lamb while my mom had steak sourced from the local Swiss cows. The meat was cooked perfectly likely due to the chefs meticulously attention to detail. Our waitress apologized for the delay advising that the chef really took his time and continued to tell the kitchen that he had to get it 'right' for me. Like OMG! How kind! Even the French fries were delicious. Oh, and if you have children (I don't) but we saw quite a few there ranging from babies to teens and the restaurant appeared to be good at accommodating them. There were high chairs, chicken nuggets, and hamburgers. All the way around I enjoyed my visit to BG's and would return.

All dished we ordered were delicious but the service could be better for a resturant this grade.

A stylish restaurant to match the hotel with very friendly and attentive staff - the food was delicious and special. Only the tables were too close together for us - but that was only a minor issue as the restaurant was not fully booked.

It's expensive, but other than that, everything was very good. I chose it because I knew it was expensive anyway. The staff are very friendly, and the food is delicious. I ordered Caprese and was impressed when they asked if I wanted to share and served it on two plates. They keep giving me bread and it’s so delicious. The two of us ordered steak cuts for 2, and it took a while to come out, but once they showed it to us, they took it back, cut it, and served it to us on two plates. But the time was a bit long, so the request for medium was slightly overcooked. Still, it was okay. After eating everything, chocolate was also given as a free gift. There was a tip, but it was a pleasant meal so I gladly paid.

Very fine dinning. The service from the waiters was excellent. The price is super high, but you get what you pay for, over beyond delicious food 😋.

Very bad service! First and last time

Sunday night, table for 2, excellent dinner, Vegi rolls, Beef fillet great, BBQ ribs to die for, very attentive service with great wine recommendation, perfect spacing of the different courses so you’d never feel rushed, Chef personally greets every table - highly recommended.

Good execution of food and overall experience

Honestly the food is overpriced, we had a steak and it was awful. We asked for well done, but it came raw, when we showed the manager he didnt even apologise or offer anything. We ended up paying full price for the food without any compensation although we didnt eat the food. On the other hand, the service of the waiters was very professional.

End of the evening at the cigar lounge, very professional and positively communicative staff, thank you to them, we will come back.

Amazing high end restaurant, loved and enjoyed everything!

Bergwelt's own restaurant, I originally wanted to have a light meal at noon, but the food was huge, not at all like the food output of a hotel of this level. I ordered the New York salmon burger, 4.0 points, and the spaghetti, 4.0 points; service staff They are all friendly. The indoor environment is good, but the outdoor environment is average. The line of sight is blocked by the building in front. Overall, 4.0 points

Amazing staff! Most of the negative reviews are about the slow service, but it's been our general experience in Grindelwald. We came 2 nights in a row for drinks. The first night, our waitress made us amazing negroni and let us taste 2 wines so we could pick the one we wanted. The next day, they remembered us which was nice. We overheard a guest saying she had the best cheese of her life. We asked about it to our waiter Michael, he went above and beyond to check with the kitchen which cheese it was. He finally came with the answer (truffle cheese called La Bouse). After a friendly chat with him, he came back from the kitchen with a piece of the cheese for us to try, courtesy of the sous-chef 'focaccia Michael'. The buffet breakfast is also great with many options (continental, British, American breakfast), everything is fresh and tasty. The outside area has a beautiful view on the mountain. They also have free wifi so it's been great to seat down and get some work done. Overall the food is great and the staff very attentive, highly recommend.

Terrible. 2nd day at the hotel and terrible service at the restaurant. 20 minutes and without the waiter even looking at my face. Last night. They gave me the menu after a long wait and when I finally received the menu and made my choice, they came back after 10 minutes to say that the kitchen had closed. Unpreparedness, lack of organization.

A place with impressive cuisine Salad and grilled meat were good. It's expensive, but worth a visit at least once. I think it would be good if there was just a little bit of noise control.

Delicious food - we had grilled chicken and salmon, both of which were very tasty and provide something different compared to more traditional restaurants in the region. The BG chocolate bar dessert was a real highlight. The only downside was the slow service - it took 3 hours for our two course meal + amuse bouche.

Fantastic food and service located in the Bergwelt Alpine Luxury Resort in Grindelwald. A must visit if you are coming through the town or staying at the Bergwelt and a beautifully designed establishment. My wife and I visited twice and tried a number of the dishes, with no complaints about any, even down to the bread. Highly recommend the BBQ Short Ribs and Chicken/Poulet dish. Dessert is incredibly yummy, our server was able to get chef to make a special sampler platter for us, thank you! Fast service and all around wonderful waitstaff and bartenders!

Nice, young, charming atmosphere Solid food, meat cooking point was really perfect Basically friendly service. Unfortunately: nobody speaks German, which was very strange, but most of them speak poor English… Service quality is very poor compared to the prices. The bench was extremely uncomfortable. And especially: The price-performance ratio is underground! Exorbitant prices, really off compared to the competition. Very unfortunate.

The ambience is very nice. The staff is very friendly, but not particularly well trained. The wine list is available as a wine recommendation. The amuse bouche is simply served unknowingly without comment. It takes 3-4 waiters to serve the main courses, although no one really knows what each dish belongs to. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right at all. Just one example: If I ask CHF 54 for a Wiener Schnitzel, I don't just expect a plate with fried breading in which two dry mini schnitzels are hidden. Underneath you will find 2 small potato quarters and you need an extra waiter to bring the lemon, another for the cranberries and then someone else for the small pile of watery cucumber salad. There's still a lot that's not right!

Had a lovely evening in the restaurant - great wine list, the service was very nice and the food tasted excellent. The hourly egg is highly recommended.

We are a big family group that looking to get a comfortable dinner at the hotel we stayed. It was about 5 tables that are occupied and the restaurants in total have about 30 tables in total by sight. We requested to be seated and assuming is the manager of the restaurant has put us on hold for about 5-10 mins by keep checking on his monitor and walk around the empty restaurant to try to think of a seating plan for us, which we find it quite strange. After a long wait and he said that he can accommodate us that we should have check the email and make booking in a not very nice tone. I mean it’s ok if you tell us that you don’t have a table for us, rather than the long wait and sounding like a lecture to us. We are here for good holiday and we are fine to go around to other places for a meal. Not to mentioned, this is also a restaurant that attached with the hotel, we are really disappointed to the manager’s attitude. But thanks to the waitress from Italy , I must said that her service is really good, very attentive and friendly towards us. Food wise, I think is not bad overall but due to the initial incident we didn’t really feel it’s a “fine dine experience” as what other people said. Beef is slightly overcooked to medium well.

Super fresh ingredients, great flavours. Our favourite was the burrata. We saw the table next to us got a differeny kind of fries that look like sweet potato fries (it was slimmer and seem more crispy) - would love love to try that next time round!

It's a bit pricey, but if you're on your honeymoon, definitely come at least once. Highly recommended!! The quality is different from nearby restaurants.

Very nice and new hotel, restaurant is near lobby, food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Extremely expensive. CHF 32 for grilled vegetables, CHF 49 for 200g lamb rack.

The restaurant usually requires reservations I took the beef steak And salmon And pasta with truffles The restaurant specializes in barbecue It has side dishes, and the truffle potato salad was delicious, and the Summer Love salad was delicious.

TL;DR: all high marks, particularly service. If they had a problem in the past, I'd say they fixed it. Every department of this restaurant is run by experts. Service was expertly delivered and the staff behaved like it was a Micheline Star restaurant. The staff were so completely in sync it almost looked like they were dancing. The food was beautifully presented and worthy of the chef's Micheline. The ambience and decor was expertly chosen, elegant and clean. Special shout out to Anusha! She was exceptionally observant and was a big team player, jumping between other waiters' guests, helping everyone very quickly.

Excellent food, service needs improvement: The food - taste, choice, presentation - was just outstanding! We loved our appetizers (burrata, squid and salmon-tuna-avocado tartare). We also enjoyed the selection and quality of excellent meats and sides. However, service (all very nice people) seemed to be in its infancy. We had the impression that the service personell (including two gentlemen who looked like maître d'hôtel and sommelier) tried very hard but simply lacked the education, knowledge and experience to serve in such a fine dining restaurant. We would have liked the service staff to be less ostentatious, but quieter, more humble, more natural and more discreet. Summing up: very good fine dining restaurant with delicious food, beautiful interior design and service that has to be improved a bit.

The Wiener schnitzel was really delicious, as were the side dishes. The service was also great, friendly but not exaggerated. Prices are €€€ but worth every penny. It's good here, let's build three huts here ;)

Rating on the ambiance, service, food and wine. Ambiance: 3 stars. For us didn't work. Though we booked a restaurant a week in advance, our table was literally outside restaurant main area, so you "enjoy" empty non decorated space around. Service: 2 stars. Service was extremely slow. Took at least 30 mins to take our order. Main was served 2 hours (!) after we arrived and when most of the guests ready left. I don't know if this is linked to the fact that we werenot hotel guests. But then clear no go if you are coming from outside. Food: 4 stars. Delicious tuna tataki. Salmon grill was perfect. Tartar of salmon and tuna very average. Wine: 3 stars. Selection of wines is very good and can satisfy the demanding wine lovers. But: our white wine was served not chilled, which was a shame. On the positive side: good food quality restaurant, nice decor, good selection of wines.
