From the outside it's an inconspicuous older farmhouse. But inside a cozy Appenzeller parlor. Cordon Bleu with Mostbröckli and of course Appenzeller cheese.

Friendly, cozy, very fine food, great value for money

Wonderful inn. We were at the Schwägalp on Laternliweg and were in the mood for cheese fondue. Since we didn't have a chance at the top, we got this tip. Go to the leaf drought. Perfect, we were able to enjoy a fondue there. Would love to come back. From here you can also start beautiful hiking routes.

After the climb from Urnäsch, the barley soup was just right, deliciously seasoned. The hit was the homemade and fresh Schlorziflade, a very relaxing lunch break with goats and cowbells and of course friendly service and pure Natzr. Will definitely come back

A little out of the way, but well worth the visit!

Perfect, nice restaurant, the waitress explained the dishes to me in English and was particularly pleasant. Super good meal! Macaroni cheese, apple sauce, sausage and regional white wine (älplermagronen mit südwurst ;)) even the bread was above average. If I didn't leave tomorrow I would have liked to come back! And very good value for money :)

Beautiful, rustic mountain pub with friendly innkeepers, very hospitable service. Excellent food (regional offer, e.g. Aelplermaggaronen with cheese, applesauce and Appenzeller Siedwurst, homemade boiled meat salad = excellent, highly recommended!). It's worth stopping by! Highly recommended!

Really beautifully run mountain farm. Friendly service, a menu with warm and cold dishes that matches the mountain economy. The Blattendürren coupe is a dream. Nice terrace. Animals (goats, rabbits, colored chickens, cows) to admire up close. Hiking trails.

This inn is particularly popular for hiking. When the weather is nice, the large garden restaurant is ideal. As in many such inns, the prices here are extremely high

Cozy mountain restaurant - a gem. Very friendly, cheerful host crew. As a guest, you can feel that the work here is done with joy and passion, both in the kitchen and in the service. I probably ate the finest Älplermagronen when the leaves were dry. I would be happy to come back.

Excellent apple nut croissants as a specialty, ideal with coffee. Wine list with unusual red wine specialties. Friendly host and service staff. Moderate prices; good price-performance ratio.
