Blue Lounge in Zermatt

A mountain lounge with world-class views. This is awesome. You just look for professional friendliness in vain. Dirty upholstery, leftover food on the floor and not at peak times. In addition, guest safety doesn't seem to matter. Emergency exits are boarded up and have been for a long time. That’s where everyone’s fun stops.

We have been coming here again and again for years. This beautiful place has now been run down, the seat cushions are covered in lots of stains and there is rubbish on the floor for which no one feels responsible. It's a shame that the Zermatt spirit has unfortunately been lost here. Orders can only be placed here in English or Dutch.

The real magic of Blue Lounge, however, lies in its exceptional staff. Huge shoutout to Wouter, Miqueas, Stephanie, Sol, Rafael, Sebastian, Jaime, and Luc – you guys are the heart and soul of this place. It was awesome to see how well you all work together, making every visit fun and welcoming. My girlfriend and I ended up here every single day of our week-long trip, and it quickly became the best part of our day. The staff made us feel right at home, greeting us with familiar faces and making us feel like part of the Blue Lounge family, which meant a lot while we were so far from our own home. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The combination of the view, the incredible staff, delicious food, and drinks really sets Blue Lounge apart from anywhere else on the mountain. Thanks for giving us something to look forward to every day of our trip. Much love to the entire team!

For me, the top snack in the whole resort, fast great food for good money

Sorry to see that the service is only in English. I preferred before.... at least the local language was used. In addition, the service is slow and not pleasant and the food is really not great. Too bad I had come there

The Blue Lounge was a welcome surprise at Matterhorn Paradise! We were skiing up near Blauherd station and discovered this mountaintop site with a beautiful view. The food is delicious and for Switzerland - it was fairly priced! Several types of loaded french fries were amazing and a huge portion! Try the ones with basil mayo and arugula! The thin-crust pizza was fantastic and there were several choices. The drinks included beer, wine, and best of all some inventive coffee drinks! Try the coffee with the apricot liquor. Even better than the food and the prices was the service! Everyone was happy and willing to give us free tap water -- which is a big deal at the Matterhorn. Usually, they want to charge you 7-9 CHF (about $10 USD). The Blue Lounge is easy to find -- something that's also unusual at such a large ski area. And for your friends who are injured and can't ski --accessible by foot as it's a few feet from the lift that arrives at Blauherd station. Don't miss this restaurant when you're skiing at Mattehorn Paradise in Zermatt, Switzerland!

This is the best coffe i’ve drink in zermatt so far. People are so nice. Place is so clean. I strongly reccomend here for a visit and couple of drinks.

The Argentinian couple at the bar outside are definitely an asset to the bar, helpful, attentive, quick and friendly. The view of the resort offers the ideal moment to take a break from skiing. My family and I enjoyed it very much.

Way too expensive. Example of a small but nice (relatively) tarte flambée that didn't really taste good. 25 rams had to be cut and there was no bottom. And the French fries wouldn't be worth it on the spit char. I'm just so stupid. The sötme from due gopfeedmai

Gio & his team create a great atmosphere and a must for everyone in Zermatt

We have been coming to Zermatt for 40 years and it is very regrettable to see the self-service restaurants disappear one after the other, giving way to these noisy and uncomfortable "chiki miki" concepts. When the weather is bad and you have children, all you want is to be able to warm up and eat quickly. There, no, 10 tables inside with uncomfortable sofas, crowded, horrible music too loud, waiting time too long...no one speaks German or French (official languages ​​of Valais), exorbitant prices. ..On this side only Sunnegga remains, but on busy days it is definitely also limited. And we don't necessarily want to go back down. Less than 10 years ago there was still a huge cafeteria with beautiful bay windows where you were sure to find a seat. Fortunately, on the Gornergrat/Klein Matterhorn side there are still options for families. Avoid with children.

Excellent food and great service. There is a large selection of different dishes such as sandwiches and tarte flambée. The pitas are particularly delicious! You order at the bar and are given a number and the food is then brought to you. All employees are very courteous and friendly. I'd love to come back!

Out of this world place. Beautiful view of Matterhorn and surrounding mountains. You can also see skiing people far away. This place is open during summer two months and then winter for skiier. The lady managing is very enthusiastic and fluent in English.

I had the daily soup which was fantastic - fresh, home made, a real pleasure. The chicken nuggets were great, too, made with real slices of chicken (and not the mashed chicken leftovers they are usually made with). The cesar salad was nice, too. Service was super friendly.

I've been here today. The weather was great. This lounge has such a perfect view and nice beverage. The beer was good. My favorite point was taking a picture with dancing cute Wolli. It was a surprising gift for me. Mark at the lounge was very kind and gentle. I hope to visit here again.

Stopped here a few days ago for lunch: the clear view on the Matterhorn was impressive. The staff was ready to help us out and very friendly towards the kids, even in Dutch. The lunch itself was good as well. Definetely going back when we're around again.

We found this restaurant on our way down and it offered us a nice break from all the walking. There are tables, couches, and lounge chairs available on the terrace overlooking the mountains with music playing in the background. The view was breathtaking! Staff were friendly and attentive. The food came out super quick and everything was delicious. We ordered chicken nuggets and fries for the kids, the chicken salad sandwich, burger, and the Caribbean smoothie. Prices are comparable to the rest of Zermatt. No complaints at all! The service was above and beyond. Thank you!

With probably the most beautiful view of the iconic Matterhorn, we enjoyed tasty snacks and drinks in this lounge bar. The service was perfect, fast and with a smile. Definitely go up there on foot, bike or cable car when you are in Zermatt. Highly recommended!

Surprisingly tasty burger, best in Switzerland. The sauce is really special and the bread is fluffy. The fries is also good. Matthorn is just in front of you. You cannot ask for more. Highly recommended.

Must visit if you are in zermatt, amazing location, live music and good food. The falafel wrap was yum, and the tapas plate was tasty. The singer was fantastic- having a bottle of wine against that backdrop was a highlight of our trio

Amazing restaurant with the most stunning view, lounges and couches. We came for a “quick drink” and didn’t want to leave. Coffee was great, food and drinks amazing. Loved the Hugo Spritz and very reasonable price for eating and drinking in the mountains. Would highly recommend.

The Matterhorn and surrounding landscape are spectacularly panoramic. After a short hike, drinking beer while looking at the scenery was delicious. The staff offered to take a picture first and were very friendly. I am satisfied with the atmosphere, food, and service ^^
