Absolutely wonderful! The shop is very pretty, the breads are presented in a fun way. And what a choice! They have new breads every season. I had a cinnamon roll and it was to die for! The welcome is very nice too, I recommend 😀

Looking for a galette des rois (at the last minute, obviously), I found what I was looking for in this magnificent bakery which offers a choice and quality that I hadn't seen in a long time. Little anecdote: the store opens at 7:30 a.m., I showed up at 7:33 a.m. and there was a queue all the way to the street: proof of a quality shop where people don't hesitate to wait to get their daily bread ;-) Tasting done: I highly recommend this establishment (yum++)

The queue in front of a bakery during the week? This is not common with us. The white baguette and the darker bread are crunchy and tasty and keep very well. I wanted lemon tartlets, there weren't any, I bought two caramel and nut tartlets... not convinced, the peanuts mask the taste of everything, too bad... But the kouing amann are a delight!

Exceptional products that are worth the wait, but on December 24, no more baguettes, grand sourdough and twisted baguettes 45 minutes after opening and 15 minutes waiting outside, it's shameful and above all unprofessional! All products are excellent! On the other hand, it’s a 0 on friendliness and sense of customer service! We felt like we were disturbing from start to finish. We wanted to sit down but a group had taken the second chair from our table and neither they nor the saleswoman saw fit to intervene so that we could sit down. Arrivals 45' before closing, impossible to have coffee or tea because the machine was turned off 1 hour before... Shameful but above all no desire to offer an alternative or to apologize. Apparently it's normal and we were almost stupid to show our astonishment... I would like to point out that even if the amount of expenditure should not influence the service, we had bought a pie for 22 CHF, not just a nice treat... It would make you want to boycott the place… Not an apology, not a thank you, not a good day. Truly catastrophic! Finally, not wanting to stay in a place where we felt so unwelcome, we left to have coffee at my place.

Having tasted many croissants in a large number of bakeries in Lausanne, this one is among my Top 3. I highly recommend.

Truly artisan bread, rich taste, perfect texture and crust. The baguette is one of the best I’ve had outside France. Staff is friendly (wishing you a nice day :)! and speaks English. But be prepared to queue outside, because locals know what’s good and it’s definitely worth to wait.

Delicious sandwiches, I highly recommend the Vegetarian Foccacia (dried tomatoes, mozzarella, artichoke and arugula). The pastries are also very good, and there is a lot of choice. There are also many different types of bread.

Do you want a good fresh baguette, crispy and not overcooked (they have several cooking options for heretics…)? Hot and crispy pastries too? Well you will find your happiness here! They also make delicious pies (apple/strawberry/raspberry). Definitely one of the best [see the best] bakery in Lausanne!!

Service is bad, not friendly. At 10 a.m. on a Sunday they’re out of croissants… at 10a.m. … on a sunday … get it? Maybe cooking some more would be a good idea since this is a chronic problem. Bread and products are of very good quality though.

In my opinion the best bakery in Lausanne. The breads and pastries are excellent and the quality is always there. I have never been disappointed and I have been a customer since the opening. Ghislaine, Fatima and Yannick are very friendly and professional, pearls in this pretty underground station area. Always a pleasure to come and have your bread and exchange 2 or 3 words with such pleasant people! Congratulations for having managed to maintain this excellence in such a difficult and demanding profession, both on the sales side and on the production side...Thank you!

As much as I found the quality exceptional at first, I'm a little disappointed now. Less fresh bread, smaller and quite dry, which normally takes several days to be the case with sourdough bread.

By far the best baguette in Lausanne. Excellent pastries. The pastries are more uneven but above average regardless. Big up for the staff where everyone is really very friendly and, which is important given the crowds, very efficient.

I've been going to this bakery for a year now, which for me has been the best in Lausanne, by far. However, I have noticed a decline in quality in recent months. I often buy my pastries when the bakery opens, and it often happens that they are soft, without the crispness expected from the usually very well made puff pastry. I expect the puff pastry to be crispy, especially when opened. I also noticed a decrease in the size of the two-tone crescent. I hope it's temporary, I'll see over the next few months and revise my rating.

Very happy to have this bakery in our neighborhood. The quality and selection of breads are really top notch, the pastries and sandwiches are excellent. Very good value for money. We're not going to beat around the bush, it's really good so even with a little waiting occasionally on weekend mornings, the reward is there! The team is adorable and is working hard in this not-so-obvious context (distancing, health measures, etc.) to ensure the success of this place. They handed out little cups of hot tea during the cold winter mornings ;-) Yum-yum!

Recommended by a colleague in the hotel industry, we went there on a Saturday with enthusiasm. Result: cold reception, dry tone, the seller does not look at us at any time. Whatever the taste of the bread (good by the way, very pleasant), we will not return there because the reception is so bad. Damage.

Exotic croissant. Welcomed cold, we are not given time to choose the ones we want. Very poor product knowledge. The saleswoman couldn't tell me what was inside the croissant. THE person described it to me as something liquid. Indeed, it was an exotic coulis, almost chemical so much that it was sweet. In addition, the croissant was much too dry. Impression that the croissant was from the day before. I'm sorry, but there are croissants and bakeries with a much friendlier welcome and whose products are fresher and more balanced. Certainly there is a bit of a queue in front, but don't be fooled. I am very disappointed and would not go back.

The bread, like the baguette, is a treat, flavor and taste, pure gustatory happiness. On the other hand, the person at the checkout, what a welcome! Wow, what aggression. OK, COVID-19 is tough, but you don't have to react so violently. I'm passing through and the directions are not clear, if there are any, at the entrance to the bakery. For me, it's the best bakery in town! If you think it's good at Pouly, your taste buds won't recover :) PS: For those who don't know, Pouly is really not good.

The staff is very unfriendly, rude and unhelpful. I asked if there are plain croissants (in English and it seemed like they understood me), but the cashier lady just nodded arrogantly and another one kept speaking to her in French without suggesting something else to us. In the end, we chose a mango-like something filled croissant just so we coule leave, but turns out it tastes very very bad. The place seems to be praised for its bread, but unfortunately I will not go again due to the staff’s unwelcoming attitude. Very disappointing.

For its spelled breads and other specialties, it is my favorite in Lausanne. Very good! On the other hand, they are victims of their quality, on Sunday morning be patient! And even in normal times, with 2 people in line, everyone has the different special breads explained to them, it's not quick.

Laurent and Thomas (we prefer to give a name rather than a brand because like all craftsmanship it is a story of men and women) offer just the right amount of passion and love of work and taste. You'll have to wait to enter their well-appointed store, and it's worth it. We appreciate the musical atmosphere which gives its touch of modernity. Baking is not just the art of the past. The only tiny downside is that the pastries at 10 a.m. on Sunday don't have all the freshness of a batch that just came out of the bakery 20 minutes ago around 7-8 a.m., but don't worry, the croissants are delicious .
