Great little place high up on the mountainside. A bit tricky to get to and parking is limited but the food is delicious, reasonably priced and the service very friendly.

A beautiful Swiss Restaurant located on the side the mountain face. If you get the window seats you will spend more time admiring the delicious food on your plate.

Goulash 10/10. Cutest restaurant literally on a mountain. Menu is only in Swiss-German but use your google translate and you’ll make it through. Or just order something random and it will still be delish.

Great service, very tasty chamois pepper, large plates and value for money is very good. Beautiful view, clean restaurant with traditional decor. We reserved as a group and were warmly welcomed. We will be back!

A picturesque place, located almost at the very top of the mountain. Unfortunately, it was not possible to evaluate the kitchen; we arrived at 21:00 and it was closed. The sandwiches we were treated to were quite good.

Excellent restaurant ,the food they have is traditional swiss food - sausage , fondue , Rosti , soups ... We took the above dishes for lunch and all were great and very reasonably priced. the view from the restaurant is amazing ! just this worth the visit and sitting there. host was so nice , very pateint and explained the dishes

We can absolutely recommend the restaurant! We enjoyed fine salad (8 different types and each with its own sauce), fresh rösti and pork steaks and were served in a friendly and diligent manner by the staff in the cozy, rustic Stübli with a view of Lake Brienz.

Excellent location. The food was very delicious, we were very surprised by the various local dishes (although we couldn't get them to explain it to us). I think that the menu should be translated or that the service should patiently explain the dishes to you because otherwise there is no way to order something that is not understood. The only thing we received was "what do you want to eat and I'll tell you if there is any." In that I think it failed because the customer misses out on trying many dishes. And there was only one table occupied in the entire restaurant.

Quaint furnishings, simply fitting! Very tasty food with good value for money. The service staff is also really nice, makes you feel good! Be sure to make a reservation, many people know about the delicious food 😁😁

Location 10/10, food 10/10, customer service 10/10. I cannot recommend this place enough for excellent, authentic, great tasting swiss food with an amazing view. You could tell that the locals went to this place so I am honestly hesitant to write a review so that I don't ruin this place for them but this restaurant deserves to be known. Loved the host and the server.

We had lunch for two without reservation at lunchtime and were very well received. The team is very friendly and the view superb. We ate very well at a reasonable price. Beautiful local and traditional discovery. Use Google Lens to translate the map. The team speaks English, which is great for easy communication.

We came for the first time but were told it was too late for dinner because the kitchen closed at 8 p.m. (it was 7:30 p.m.). We returned the next day after reserving a table. We noticed that some people were accepted at 8 p.m.… We ate very well, however, at the end of the meal, we were made to understand that paying by credit card seemed to be inconvenient... Too bad!

Super casual, rustic restaurant high up on the mountain. Sandra is a treasure, we immediately felt completely at home. Be sure to reserve as there aren't too many tables. Bramisegg is simply part of a visit to Brienz - come back soon!

Well, the staff shortage is omnipresent. Food and drink and prices may be fine, but the service speaks standard German, just a lack of staff...

Everything was just right here: great Swiss home cooking, excellently prepared, generously portioned. Nice, friendly service with a personal touch, rustic mountain restaurant with a fantastic view of Lake Brienz. We loved it and dined there three times. Very highly recommended.

Family restaurant in a picturesque place on the mountain, with a good view if you sit by the window, local food is not for everyone. We were on a sunny day, on the terrace, full of flies that landed on guests and food. The prices are reasonable, even very normal for Switzerland.

Food is typical and good but nothing crazy. For a similar price, you can find better options in the area. They also barely speak English, menu only in German, which is surprising in Switzerland and in a tourist destination

This is a nice restaurant almost at the top of the Axalp alpine. After a winding and narrow road up from the base at lake Brienz we came to this restaurant with a small parking lot (there is another smaller lot at the other side of the road). The popular sitting area like a greenhouse where views are nice with the large size windows are typically full or booked. We chose a table inside but next to the windows so we can still see the lake. View is breathtaking! The waitress (liked her tattoos!) spoke excellent English and we have no problem with ordering. Food is typical swiss and are good (this time forgotten to snap pictures as we were hungry!), we had the rosti with egg, rosti and sausages, beef fillet with potatoes (wished the beef was more medium rare) and local beer which was a good match. I recommend if you are in Brienz come up to this area!

Really nice and cosy place with a stunning view of the Brienz lake. Prices are reasonable and the staff is beyond friendly. We were a group of six with a small kid.

Cute, cosy, delicious food! Really enjoyed this authentic small mountainside restaurant, the bratwurst + rosti, pork steak + salad and cheese fondue were all amazing and tasty. The staff was lovely and great service as well. Really recommend this place. Not used to driving mountain roads so was a little nervous on the small winding roads but drivers are gracious here and we got there in the end! They have a nice nook to park the car.

Such delicious food and excellent service. Worth the drive up the mountain to eat. The views from the restaurant are worth the drive up the mountain to go eat here. They were the only restaurant open when everyone else was closed on Sunday.

Hiked up to this restaurant from Grand Hotel Giessbach - Tough hike (Not for the faint of heart) but definitely worth it! Super cool joint, awesome food, and the server helped us order the local favorites despite the language barrier! Would highly recommend!

Best meal we had while on a 10 day trip through Germany, Austria, Lichtenstein, and Switzerland. We had the Fondue and one of the Rosti dishes. We also ordered the raquelette, but they laughed and said we would never be able to eat that much food. They were correct. We were so stuffed after the fondue and rosti.. The service was awesome - the server and the cook both helpful, hilarious, and personable!! Total local spot. The view is breathtaking. We drove a rental car, and lots of hairpin turns up the mountain to get there but not a bad drive. Literally, it is on the other side of the lake across from the town Brienz. So worth it.

It was a great discovery after our long walk in the giessbach waterfalls. You need to drive into narrow road to get there but it is totally worth it, the view from there is unbelievable. The food was amazing but the service was top notch, such a nice lady that served us. I highly recommend the restaurant.

It's quite a drive to get here with many hairpin turns, but the view on the drive is beautiful. Once you get to the restaurant, there is a small parking lot across the street. We chose outdoor dining. The view is unmatched. It's absolutely beautiful. They have a full menu of traditional, local food. Everything we had was delicious, and the best meal we had in Switzerland. The staff are kind and friendly. They do have restrooms with (probably)the most gorgeous view. Cannot wait to come again.

Just great! I drove to Brienz over the weekend and spontaneously stumbled across this inn. Despite the full house, we were warmly welcomed and allowed to stay. The food simply tastes wonderful! Like from grandmother's hand. Big praise for the excellent service and the extremely tasty food. Prices are also very fair!

Good food with incredible views!

The greatest discovery we made last time we went to Switzerland. Cozy, family owned restaurant with the best food and the best service someone could possibly ask for. There was a girl in the staff who spoke spanish and she made a great effort to drive us through all the dishes in our language. Fondue and Rösti are to die for.

Everything was great, the staff was very friendly, the first time they spoke some Spanish, they were very friendly and the second time I don't remember the name but it was still super nice, I recommend it if you go to Switzerland in that area 😉

Whenever relatives come to visit us in Switzerland we take them here because we love everything about it. The site is located in a dream location. The food is delicious. The kitchen closes at 9:00 p.m., we arrived at 9:30 p.m. The staff offered us fresh sandwiches, which we accepted. Once at the table, surprise, cheese crusts with a choice of ham or egg were offered to us!!! A big thank you for your good cheese crusts!!!!
