Valais cheese slices, how happy I was. But ohh! Two dry toasts "without liquid" a little cheese two slices of tomatoes a lettuce leaf, voila. 25.50Fr.😟 never again.

Very good rustic restaurant, top service, like the menus and wines.

Quaint economy… a Zug original! Tip: Cordon bleu as a fitness plate (i.e. with a large side salad), or with extra fries if you like. Always my pleasure!

Really delicious food, large portions. Service is quick and friendly. The restaurant is cozy and has different rooms. It can be a bit noisy in the large room.

Extremely fine food with large portions. We reserved a table there for dinner and five of us ate there. Everything happened very quickly and without much effort. Very nice place.

The service leaves a lot to be desired. Although equipped with a digital ordering app, the staff didn't manage to serve me a Chübel Panaché in the garden within 45 minutes at 1:30 p.m. today. Then I left thirsty.

Restaurant with delicious, hearty dishes and large portions. In summer you can eat comfortably outdoors. Public transport and plenty of parking spaces in the immediate vicinity. The cordon bleu is highly recommended!

Really cheap sausage with undercooked potato salad and vinegry wine will cost you 35chf here for lunch ... Appealing price value. And despite the sizable potion, I'm hungry immediately, a sign of very cheap ingredients...

We were very disappointed the first time, but gave the restaurant another chance after a year and were not disappointed this time. Service good and fast, food good (small selection, some expensive). Would come back to the terrace. The inside is very carelessly furnished, but the outside is good.

Top service! In the summer, outside in the shade, we enjoyed a wonderful ambience, delicious toothpaste crisps and salad.

A wonderful evening with really good food, great service and a cozy spot under the tree. I'd love to come back!

Booked food and drink for 11 people 14 days in advance, when we arrived and without any information or notice we were told that we had to vacate the table in 90 minutes because there was a wedding aperitif taking place. Staff were stressed, no one felt responsible and passed the buck to others.

Old traditional Swiss gasthaus with excellent Swiss food and beer. It has a really charming outdoor area shaded by huge trees, which makes a lovely placr for a good evening with friends in the hot summer months.

Great terrace and good food, unfortunately the waiter missed a couple of main dishes for our party so people were eating in shifts.

No food this time, just an aperitif in a group. I miss the quality of the aperitifs from before.

Went to the Brandenberg restaurant as a group yesterday at lunchtime on Tuesday and were so disappointed. This started with the service and ended with the food. Communication problems with German and wrong drinks. Boiled meat salad no vinaigrette but simple French. Salad dressing, most of the breaded schnitzels were black on at least one corner... what a shame, it used to be really good.

Went with business partners, I’m lactose intolerant, they had zero flexibility. Managed to order a green salad without dressing, asked for carrot, since they have it in the salad with dressing but was told it wasn’t possible…no reason why. The only main I could have was french fries! None of the meat dishes could have the butter or milk product taken out of them (it not put in).

We are event fitters working on setting up the yodeling festival. Today we were at 9 a.m. and wanted 3 latte macchiatos, the waiter said and the machine couldn't dispense milk! Don't we have to understand?? At 12:15 p.m. for lunch we were greeted with the sentence: have you made a reservation? No, we are fitters and don't do lunch on time. You have to make a reservation in the cellar here, otherwise there is no access. Read us in anyway, food was a disaster, soup, water, ketchup didn't deserve the name, salad was slammed on our table. The server's daughter can't speak German well. 3x menu 6 1x menu 3 and 3 iced tea 1 cola 1 beer It took her 10 minutes to understand that. When we spend money we don't expect people who don't understand the word friendly. It is clear to us that we will avoid this store in the future.

Up until now I've always been very impressed with the Brandenberg, but that lunchtime there was no food at all. Some lettuce leaves had been carelessly thrown into the bowl and the soup was a disaster. Maybe the chef had a bad day, but I can hardly recommend the long-established restaurant in Zug. Especially since the ketchup that was served was one of the worst I've ever tasted. Sorry, but that was nothing.

good home cooking, well cooked. The service worked until a group came into the restaurant, then we were a bit forgotten….

Large stylish dining room. Hearty menu, food was good. Friendly staff. I felt sorry for this one because it has to work in jackets with inappropriate labels (e.g. BOTTLE OPENER, LIFE IS NOT A PONYHARD). That struck us as unprofessional and even stupid.

You get warm milk instead of warm chocolate. And when it comes to serving, they fade out.

Ordered veal, received pork (not eaten), received no response when asked for clarification and left it on the bill without comment.

I always enjoy coming here for lunch with my family or work colleagues. It's no longer an insider tip that the service here is very courteous and quick and it tastes excellent every time. I'm looking forward to next time. What is very special is that you are immediately served with a bowl of soup 🥣 and salad as soon as you arrive. 👍

The tartare was excellent and the Gordon bleue was also recommended. However, the vegetables are more suitable for pensioners as they were cooked a bit too soft.

We've wanted to eat at Brandenberg for a long time, and every time all the tables were already reserved. Yesterday we were lucky and weren't disappointed. The food is very tasty, the staff are very friendly and attentive. The kitchen works very quickly, the food came extremely quickly 😉. Important to mention, small but nice menu and everything regional as far as possible 👍 We deducted one point from the ambience because paper tablecloths are used, which we find a shame in this beautiful restaurant.

Spontaneously went there without a reservation. Honest pub. No frills. Bouillon with croutons is simply served and salad is part of the menu. I take ravioli for 22 francs. That's value for money. Very friendly service. Unfortunately, our colleague's order was lost and so I finished my ravioli by the time his menu arrived. Otherwise, really comfortable.

A long-established restaurant in Zug. We recommend choosing meat-based meals here. We also sell homemade wine.

Good home-style and tasty cuisine (also for vegetarians) and nice service. Rustic furnishings, pleasant atmosphere. However, a Euro citizen should be aware of prices at Swiss level 😊

I wanted something small to eat at 2 p.m. today. Although all the staff were present and eating themselves, they didn't find it necessary to offer anything small or cold. The kitchen is already closed. Some even gave me mischievous looks. Although the food was actually always okay, I don't support such behavior. I think there are enough restaurants that are grateful for every guest in this difficult Corona time. Apparently not in Brandenberg.

Good, hearty food with friendly service

I've been to the Brandenberg several times and was generally satisfied - and never had any particular expectations. But last Saturday was my last visit. After our cordon bleus wasn't cooked through, they were fried again, but we had the feeling that this was a nuisance. Afterwards we had to wait a long time until we could order more drinks. When we wanted to pay, the assistant waitress was sent to us. Basically I don't have anything against it, the young lady was very nice, but that showed us that the waitress who served us didn't put too much emphasis on service. Even though I feel sorry for the young assistant, we didn't want to leave a tip. It's a shame, the good wine list and the cool beer garden during the warm season were always worth a visit for us.

Been loving this place for years now. It's simple, authentic and typical. Classic dishes such as Schnitzel - Fries, possibly not ideal if you want to count calories. Great garden with shades and trees. Plenty of parking, and a train station nearby (Chollermülli). I typically go there when I have friendly work colleagues from overseas for dinner.

It was a great afternoon with my English guests. Great and courteous service. The only thing that bothered me a bit and therefore deducted a star was the really small portions. I grew up in the area and have known the restaurant for over 40 years. The portions used to be larger. So top and please give a 5th star a little more.

Wine & Dine was delicious and varied, I got to know great new wines and the food to go with them.

Food was very good. Lunch menu very fair prices. Hirsch Pfeffer was very good. Soup and salad for 35 CHF. Service was nice and friendly. Syrup for the little one was on the house. We felt completely at home and will definitely come back

Wir waren gestern im Brandenberg essen. Ich kenne das Lokal von früher, war jedoch skeptisch da ich schon einige negative Feedbacks gehört hatte. Meine Mutter sagte aber sie hätte vor zwei Jahren dort gut gegessen.Die Bedienung war zackig aber sehr nett, die Suppe und der Salat waren sehr fein. Die Blutwurst war auch gut. Aber das Kalbsgeschnetzelte war abartig. Kalb war es bestimmt nicht. Ich konnte es nicht zuordnen. Aber geschmeckt hat es grässlich. Schade! Ich wäre gerne wieder gekommen, denn das Lokal gefällt mir wirklich sehr. Aber nach dieser Erfahrung werde ich es nicht mit gutem Gewissen weiter empfehlen können.

The service is great, very friendly. The food was mediocre. A green salad, carelessly prepared, showered with sauce and that for 9.50.-, well. However, the soup tasted good. The ambience is nice though!

Bei halb leerer Terasse am abend um 20:30 Uhr über 15 Minuten auf den Service gewartet. In der Hoffnung Getränke und Essen zu bestellen, wurden wir für weitere fünf Minuten vertröstet. Dies bei vier Service angestellte und einer welcher im restsurant irgendwelche Zettel sortiert. Corona entschleunigt war überrascht das dies so stark spürbar ist.

Cozy restaurant, not run-of-the-mill with a beautiful garden. It's wonderful to sit under the shady canopy of leaves in summer, dream and escape from everyday life for a while.
