If you go you have to order the Mitralleuse sandwich. Huge and delicious. The beer selection is very good and the service is fast and attentive.

Servers always so friendly and excellent tapas. The terrace is pleasant but small. The interior is pretty and all in wood. However, it is a shame that the excessive price of the beers is under the guise that these are beers that cannot be found elsewhere... whereas most of them can be found at the coop.

Had the best private party organized for our friends with the best music, food and drinks and the loveliest staff! A special shoutout goes to wonderful Orion and Leo, the best young men who made sure everything was going perfectly and we were having fun! This us my favorite place in Lausanne by all means!!! Thank you Orion, Leo and the whole team!

The mussels are simply delicious and the beers of all kinds are crazy. The Riponne parking lot is right next door and it's in the city center, so very practical.

We celebrated a friend's birthday at the Brussels Café and were particularly delighted with the welcome we received: impeccable and smiling service, excellent food, festive and warm atmosphere, in short I highly recommend the Brussels Café, and would like to thank in particular Elodie and Léo for their help with the organization and their communicative good humor, a real pleasure! ;-)

How can I describe this place to you? The best restaurant in Lausanne, simply to my taste, superb terrace in winter and summer and a super pleasant team at the service. A little attention to the machine gun, excellent! otherwise Very good beer, good atmosphere! See you all soon, thank you!

Place faithful to the country. Huge choice of beer of all kinds. Not difficult to find happiness. I particularly recommend the tasting machine gun (5 beers of 1dl) for beer lovers. In terms of food, it's the same as beer, faithful to the Belgian principle. The submachine gun, a timeless classic. Close to the center (riponne) and the metro.

Terrible service. Avoid this place. The waitress ignored our table for 30 minutes while you were ready to pay to leave. We had to get up from the table and go find her to ask her, and then everything was very confusing.

Good atmosphere, a little noisy if you are sensitive in that regard. The service, friendly but slow staff, very slow. Food; In my opinion, unpleasant. I only ordered tapas. There was not a single acceptable one. They looked like they were microwaved and actually tasted unpleasant.

Why 3 stars? My parents often go there to drink a good beer. And they are excellent (probably the best in Lausanne). On the other hand, when it comes to service: unless they took my colleague and me for inspectors, the fellows had difficulty seeing and hearing us (there was even one who I was surprised didn't see). didn't hear him so loudly I called him). Fortunately there was the nice lady who was there to hear us and who showed herself. Otherwise I recommend for the quality of the beers offered 👍

This was my favorite place for a drink. Currently such pitiful service I've never seen the Brussels café so empty on a Saturday since the twins left.

Last time I came here we stumbled upon it by mistake - it’s right next to the train station. This time when I came to Lausanne I made it a point to visit. I don’t about know anything else on their menu because I had been craving Mussels (moules) and let me tell you they were spot on! The fries were hot and fresh also! Will come back. Might still not try anything else but just gorge on 1kg of fantastic mussels!

This is the second time I've come. The first time, to bring back the PC which plays music 🎶 and the second time to drink a good beer 🍻 I am very satisfied with the service and the atmosphere! Very nice establishment! I recommend 👍

Very nice. Not pretentious. Great welcome and real friendliness. Tapas, mussels and fries, burgers, simple and good, without fuss. Patience to find a place rewarded by the smiles of the waiters. Large selection of excellent Belgian beers. Ideal for unwinding after a long day.

I had the ribs.. but no rib bones in sight? An unprepared piece of pork full of clumps of fat and skin and various indistinguishable tissues, and the consumable meat unearthed in this dish was dry. In conclusion, everything except the tender meat that you expect when you order ribs and that you can eat without serving with your fingers.

The best bar in Lausanne!!! Pleasant setting (with a superb terrace suitable for all seasons), warm atmosphere, impeccable service executed with professionalism and kindness, huge choice of beers and drinks in general, and something to eat on site at almost any time, what more ?! I have only good things to say about this place, it has become my second home. I would like to emphasize again that the owners and their employees deserve enormous credit: they work hard, and always with a smile, and have thus been able to make the Bruxelles Café an unmissable place in Lausanne. Whether it is to drink a coffee, eat with friends and/or have drinks and spend a crazy evening, this place will never disappoint you and will meet all your expectations. You guessed it, I highly recommend! And if I had to recommend just one establishment for an evening in Lausanne, it would be this one, without the slightest hesitation! Well done and thank you.

The perch fillet was spoiled by poor quality oil, instead of butter, so it should be avoided. However, the seafood gratin was delicious. The service was not fast, a wait of 30 minutes before service.

Cool place for after work tapas and drinks

We were received by the most unpleasant waiter in the world. He says "eat" when talking about our meal, mumbles little thoughts about our choices and is completely passive-aggressive. So much so that we left the place without consuming. The worst experience in the world.

Nice ambience, good Belgian beer selection, fresh food (this time we skipped the tiny mussels), swift service. The fifth star comes when a small dish will be given to everyone when serving shared tapas or assiettes.

One of your servers seats us at a table and another comes to tell us that the table is reserved while attacking us, shouting and disrespecting us! Calling me “big girl”. We didn’t raise the pigs together?! Never seen before and I'm still shocked!! Choose your staff better. I have never seen that in Belgium, and I very much doubt that they are Belgian!!! I will never set foot in the Brussels café again! A good restaurant starts with good staff.

We went to eat on a Saturday at lunchtime for the first time with my wife, we had mussels marinière with fries, it was very good and in large quantities. The service and staff were friendly and attentive. Personally I think it’s a good place to eat mussels and have a beer!

Diluted beers, the height of it for a Belgian establishment! The quality of the products has continued to decline over the years, the lure of profit has eaten away at this once excellent restaurant, too bad!

A regular visitor to the establishment for years, shocked by the deterioration. Prices have increased while quality and quantity have decreased. In addition, the beers are very light, not to say diluted. We will not talk about the deplorable service. It was better before.

Came here a few times while I was in town. Beer is excellent! And, I did NOT know what mitraillette was or meant, I expected a small sandwich (and wondered why a sandwich was more expensive than a whole veggie burger) and was very surprised to receive a huge meal that was absolutely delicious! Belgian friends tell me it's authentic and popular back home 😍

Definitely recommended if you are on a budget and want to try decent quality food. The drinks are overpriced though. The beers are mainly from bottle and the cocktails can improve in texture and quality. The service is friendly and kind.

"Mitraillette beef (pour 2)" has a large portion, with two large thick hamburger steaks, which can be eaten by two people. The meat and chips were excellent.

Variety of tap beers with a terrace that is an excellent vantage point over the Riponne Square, which is one of the most lively areas of the city. It also has an indoor lounge and restaurant service all day. Attentive service.

Nice setting and very welcoming staff. But the mussels are rather disappointing: they are small and rather dry. Nothing to do with those found in Belgium which are very fleshy and juicy. It's a shame. I advise Brussels Café to change suppliers if possible, to obtain mussels from the North Sea.

I went for a drink on August 5 around 4 p.m. and it was a very good surprise! I love the Belgian concept, the decoration inside is incredible. You can see walls of capsules or the walls of toilets filled with Belgian references including comics. The service is OK, I waited a good ten minutes before they gave me the card and then came to take the order, other than that, nothing to say! I will not be able to judge the prices since I am not faced with this Swiss franc economy. A shame is that the café is located in front of a big road, unfortunately you can't have everything, no big deal. I didn't eat anything there, just a cold tea and a Stella Artois, but the Belgian beers on the menu are really nice! Long live this coffee!

Very good atmosphere. The servers are welcoming, patient, pleasant, smiling and committed to customer satisfaction. The dishes are brasserie dishes, in good quantity and of very good quality.

Nice range of Belgian beers with good food. Hard drinks and cocktails are also available; will try on next visit. Nice place to hang out, whether you are alone or in a group. Less crowded during daytime and weekends, more crowded during the evenings. The cafe is located in the center of the city, close to riponne metro station/ bel air bus stop and next to a big shopping area.
