Cafe Leistkamm in Amden

Due to a car breakdown, we spent the waiting time for the tow truck on the sunny terrace with a wonderful view with delicious food and friendly service.

What is the beautiful place with very nice environment and nice people! Very tasty coffee and cake with magnificent iced mountains peak, will definitely go back. A nice cafe. I recommend it when visiting the ski area in Amden. The staff was friendly and told me about the cake that contains alcohol, and the coffee was excellent.

Always nice to experience peace and quiet in this place.

food: cheap low quality sausages service: two elderly staff near the kitchen side were very stressed (dec 26), and rude. atmosphere: self pick up. The place becomes disorganized when there is a surge in customers. *dont accept the card / stressed & rude staff.

It's a shame no innovation - the same offer for years, nothing for children except Wienerli, worn furniture, the landlord is often not hospitable, but the soups are very tasty and the terrace is very sunny

Delicious barley soup that I've been enjoying for over 20 years...The owners are friendly as always! The motivation of their years of work in Arvenbühl is not lost. At least that's what it seems 😉 Keep it up!

A “must” in Argenbüel. Always a great place whether before or after a hike. Or just for breakfast (highly recommended). The free parking space is also good.

Friendly host. The cake and coffee is tiptop. Have a shortbreak here after hours of hiking is the best option. Enjoy the teatime with natural view.

Unfortunately, many people confuse this small, friendly ski restaurant with a modern, chic restaurant in the city. It's actually called a "cafe" and not a restaurant. Very fine food, although of course not everything is available. I think homemade soups, potato salad and cakes are very tasty. Very nice and courteous staff, who also take special requests into account. But they are mountain people, rustic and therefore very direct and don't go along with every nonsense the townspeople say. Nevertheless, a star deduction (unfortunately half a star is not possible) because of no card payment and French fries for the kids as well as pasta.

Loveless hot dogs, absolutely dry. 90% bread, small sausage and even less ketchup. Otherwise nothing. This for 6.- per piece. Great place but the landlord is very unmotivated and the menu is very lean. Not recommendable.

A very nice place to relax and unwind.

A very cozy place. The service is friendly, quick and uncomplicated. We were pleasantly surprised by the selection of hot and cold dishes on the menu and what was served tasted very delicious (we can recommend the goulash soup). The range of hot and cold drinks is also impressive. We will definitely stop by again and again.

Unfriendly host we have encountered so far. You can't even describe it. There is also a sign in the SPIELECKE that tells everyone seriously that you should SET your children to the restaurant volume. Huh? Are we the only ones who haven't found the volume control button yet? 2 stars for the cake and the fact that there is even a play area. We definitely won't be coming back!

About the location: Cafe Leistkamm is located near the Arvenbüel car park and can be reached on foot in a few minutes (even with children). The view is indescribable. The homemade cakes taste excellent. The prices are moderate, the service is friendly and helpful

Beautiful Swiss place with very friendly staff. Here I was able to enjoy the best rum cake of my life, which immediately made me think of the lady's cake in the Matrix. The wonderful weather and the pleasant guests certainly also contributed to this. Highly recommended!

It's very cozy. The innkeepers are set up and have fun (sayings) for everyone. They're very child-friendly.

Cash only place which considering the relative absence of ATM nearby is a major thing to keep in mind. Owners aren't the most welcoming either if you're a foreigner, felt almost like they didn't want us here in the beginning.

It's OK. The personal was not really polite to us and they spoke only swiss German. ..

The view of a quiet and peaceful place is also worth seeing..

We were there as a hiking group on a Monday. The restaurant is run as self-service. I found the price for a 33 ml sweet drink to be over 4 francs to be on the upper limit; especially because the landlord rudely pointed out to us that the dishes that were returned didn't belong on the counter.

The goulash actually tasted very good, but the menu is generally quite clear. Unfortunately, the man behind the counter is very unfriendly, so much so that you almost have to apologize for being a guest there and wanting to buy something. Unfortunately I can't recommend it.
