Monte Mio in Amden

On a winter day I stopped for a quick stop at the Monte Mio at the top of the ski slope. Self-service on the terrace is the order of the day. A delicious bratwurst with French fries was served to the table quite quickly. When the weather is nice, the places are well occupied. The view invites you to linger.

Very good food for little money. Where else is there something like that... We went skiing and a visit to the restaurant was part of it. We can only recommend it for families... Keep it up...

Today we waited over 1 hour for it... little fish crispy on a plate 4 pieces. For 26 Fr. - rip off, schnitzel poorly prepared... very sad for a Swiss restaurant.

This is the second time we've been there this season and it's just disappointing: the first time at the start of the season we had to wait over an hour for food, it was total chaos, the waitress was close to crying and the wrong thing came. Since it was great last year, we tried again today. The result: another 50-minute wait and the burger was still raw... That was probably the last time we stopped here under this tenant... What a shame.

I have never experienced such friendly and efficient service. I've come here several times in the winter during lunchtime when there was really a lot going on. The menu is small and not gourmet, but the food is simple and good. What was ordered was always on the table in no time - whether inside or outside. No other ski restaurant, whether in Lenzerheide, Davos or Engadin, can keep up. Congratulations!

When there are a lot of guests, the staff starts yelling at our children and in a very unfriendly manner. The staff has already pushed her to the side. The nut top tasted like a dissolved piece of pape and was soft.

Price-performance tip top. Order inside. Food is then brought outside. Or eat in the cozy restaurant. It is now also possible to pay by card. Gladly again and again.

The slopes were very nice, the alcoholic drinks were good, only some of the staff were extremely unfriendly and cheeky and the meat was very out of date.

Nice piste bar with self-service outside. Good sausage, although the grill is missing. Green salad ok but carelessly prepared. Fries 200 or 300g. It's better to choose the larger portion, which is more like 500g 😉. Nice service and a MEGA view!

Very nice in winter on the terrace in sunny weather.

Despite the full hut, quick service with a smile, decent chocolate melange for 5fr absolutely ok. The fries could have used a little kick but were solid.

It was brilliant. Gorgeous View. Good Service. But the food was average. The schnitzel was not so good. The soup ok. The garlic bread good. Easy and Fast. And bit expensive. But I guess we pay the place.

We come here often and enjoy it, but today our lunch was very disappointing. One of the staff smoked a cigarette so heavily while clearing the tables that it disturbed our family's meal. We had to change tables. Another employee was supposed to disinfect tables, but instead she only lightly sprayed the tables 1-2 times without wiping the table tops. Most of the tables were dirty from other guests and leftover food. The catering industry calls for help, but does not offer any hospitality itself. A pity.

To enjoy seeing the skating views...and eating while an almond cake with coffee...is the best option.

Actually quite good. What's not so great is that in conjunction with the family ski pass you can eat the menu in the restaurant at lunchtime. It's just a shame that the menu is the same every day. Chicken nuggets with fries or penne with tomato sauce. A little more variety wouldn't be a bad thing.
