Previously, for decades, it was a wooden temple. It's located right across the street from where I live and yet I've never been inside. Looking at the photos and the reviews I am sure that it is certainly much better than the Tea-room which is right next door. and which has been drowning in false favorable opinions since I wrote an unfavorable comment during the Covid period because it was absolutely not supportive. Yet the place gives me the impression of being closed off, withdrawn into itself. The exterior is extremely sober, 2 tables max outside, and only if the weather is nice, the glazing is almost opaque making it impossible to see at all if there are people there, among others, and especially not of external menu to look at the dishes offered and no slate boards where the dish of the day could be written, and other little things like the price of coffee with croissant, orange juice, ... in short the ABC of the profession of hotel. Nothing encourages me to enter there since nothing encourages me to enter there. The place absolutely does not give the illusion of being a café restaurant. For fun I'm giving three stars because despite everything, it seems clean to me... but too cold. Accessible to people with disabilities ♿️

Super nice café in the Paquis district, particularly suitable for families.

The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming! The atmosphere was so comfortable and relaxing that you felt like you were at home. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. I really recommend Café Lumen!🫶🫶🫶

I don’t get the 5 star reviews and think these must be from friends of the owner. I am sitting here at 9 AM on a Tuesday so prime time. There’s almost no food - only 1 bread roll is available. They have a beautiful coffee machine but the 2 sweet ladies working here have no idea how to make even the most basic drink (cappuccino). Finally, the atmosphere is the lobby of a building right by the toilets.

Fantastic cafe in Geneva, in Pâquis and closed to Nations and lake. Everything is just fresh and tasty. The staffs are so kind, cozy seats and spacious dining area. I’d surely come back again and again.

One of our favourite places in Geneva! With our 6 and 3 year olds, we go there every week once to have a roll/ waffle with hot chocolate and we play in the indoor area. Kids can be energy bombs, through tantrums :-) and no one is bothered as it is away from the calm area. What a comfort for parents who want to relax and want kids to enjoy the time, too! On the first floor, there is a brilliant place to host birthday parties, too!

It's really quiet, the people who work are really so nice! their desserts I gained 3 kg because of you it's so good! I really have the pleasure of coming and finally coming back for a cafe the way we like it.

Warm coffee with fresh, homemade products. 2 succulent quiches, one with leeks and ham and the other with spinach and feta. Excellent! I highly recommend!
