Café Moment in Basel

I wish I had discovered this place sooner! The silence is really relaxing and the tea is fantastic. I feel much calmer and less anxious after I come here. They even have my favorite pu’er tea!

Lovely idea for a coffee/tea house. Cozy and quiet, it is a great place to take a moment to yourself and step away from the buzzing crowds of Basel Altstadt. The coffee and cakes on offer were great, and the staff were very friendly and made us feel very at ease.

We visited this beautiful place on a Monday afternoon. Great concept, lovely service and amazing food/tea in the center of Basel. You can not miss it!

This is such a lovely concept for a coffee shop. You sit in silence. There’s a library of books, there’s a meditation room and there’s the quiet main space. It’s so peaceful. If I lived in Basel, I’d have coffee there every day.

The silver tips were excellent quality. But even better was the space and the staff. What a lovely idea; a real place of respite in the city. I highly recommend!

Out of curiosity we stopped in front of the shop window and were very kindly invited in to take a look around. We then got a short tour. Great idea, great atmosphere! If I'm in Basel again, I'll definitely be here again with more time..

Little oasis of silence! Here you should speak quietly or not at all. I think the idea is great in our hectic world. There is a menu for lunch that I really enjoyed. Then a wonderful panettone from Ticino. You can also meditate in a separate room or borrow books from the GGG.

A wonderful place to switch off! I always like to drink my tea here and enjoy the peace and quiet and the time for myself to switch off.

Amazing concept of silent coffee/tea house. The tea tasted amazing, so did the salad I ate. The place is very cozy and silent, amazing for reading and having a,very quite pause. There are some super interesting books to read too...

It was my first time in this wonderful and cozy cafe! The silence and peace did me so much good, it was almost like therapy for me! I enjoyed my tea in peace and quiet with a book. Later I took a look at the cozy library and the beautiful meditation room! This is truly a wonderful place to find peace in this noisy world. I noticed myself becoming more mindful and calm. The nice young lady with her friendly manner and loving service also did me a lot of good! I've been looking for a café like this for a long time and I'll be happy to come back when I'm in town.

What a wonderful place. It really is a unique atmosphere, you are in the middle of the city and yet you can still relax. I really enjoyed my cappuccino with my book and the staff was super friendly! I'll definitely come back :-)

Wonderful place to escape the stressful everyday life for a moment and simply enjoy the peace and quiet. Very high quality tea and coffee are offered and at a fair price. There is also a very exciting range of books and magazines that make you think! After a stay in this fantastic place I feel recharged :) I would recommend this experience at Café Moment to everyone! A place has been created here that gives you exactly what is important to every person today. Retreat, peace and time. First of all, thanks for that Using simple elements, colors and shapes, we succeeded in creating a space that does not distract too much from the outside world. The offering for consumption is well thought out and gives you what you need. Despite the really great concept, which I like to use, I would like to offer some constructive criticism. I define the retreat as a space for silence 🤫 and I would like to be able to get rid of elements of noise such as running noises, wooden doors, ventilation or meditation 🧘 Room next to the toilet 🚽; - Carpet, rubber seals on doors, insulation on the partition wall or ventilation/air conditioning buy a quieter model or turn them off. Thank you 🙏 for creating a space for people who perceive the outside world in a very extreme way and have trouble processing it Kind regards, Gabian

Very cozy place to unwind, read and relax. Lots of good teas and different soups for lunch every day (with super good bread!). Been there a few times and will definitely come back.
