Genuine Spicey Brazilian Feijoada-restaurant : Black Beans & Rice served with Love.

Wonderful place, really good Brazilian food.... Anyone who comes to Switzerland needs to come to this place.

Yesterday we visited the restaurant Picanha Brasil, formerly Casa da Picanha. I think it's new management. The quality is still high, unfortunately the large 200 gram paicanha plate was advertised for 35 francs, but what we received was a small portion with three thin small cuts that were hidden under the onions. The service staff was very friendly but also overwhelmed with 12 occupied seats out of 22. After the meal, the dishes weren't put away, we weren't asked if we wanted dessert or a café, we waited for over 20 minutes and then just asked for the bill. Unfortunately I can only give this performance 3 stars, but I can still recommend it for now. PS: My advice, the staff should be more attentive with the customers. Maybe you should look at the portion size again.

I'm from Goiânia and I made a point of going and discovering Brazilian cuisine in a simple, clean and pleasant environment. Good service and a delicious feijoada for 2 people, well served! The food, caipirinha, fried fish, better than Brazilian food itself! The cassava then fries!! I've never tasted a better one!!!!!

From the first time I went I really liked it. All the dishes I ordered were very good and well served. I always ask to take a lunch box, as there is a lot of food. I recommend the picanha and the onion liver. And of course, a cupuaçu juice to accompany it. 👍🏻

I have never seen such an overpriced thing: 10 fr for a bit of fried dough with some cheese. I was expecting to receave at least 4 pieces for this price. but 1....! In Zurich every food item is overpriced but I guess this is the most exaggerated one. Moreover, 8 fr for a bottle of water can be (uncomfortably) accepted in a charming restaurant, but here.... Please, here is not the case. And last but not least, you ask for 3 portions and they serve you just a sharing 1. They explain they will bring you the others in case you finish the first: but eventually you pay all the three of them even tho you ate just 1. Little traps to indulge you to spend more money that it's required.

I’ve been recently introduced to Brazilian food but I was there with a Brazilian and I can confirm the food is exquisite, feeling a lot like homemade Brazilian food. The lady serving is very nice, she spoke Portuguese of course but Spanish and German as well. Prices were fair, huge portions, the only problem is that the place is too small, it truly deserves a bigger place so she can have more customers. Wouldn’t miss it if I was in Zurich so I highly recommend.

I organized a New Year's Eve dinner with friends who came to Zurich specifically, despite the confirmation of the reservation we arrived on site to find the place closed and no one notified me. It could have gone very well, shame about the lack of professionalism.

This restaurant is my family's choice, whenever we are in Zurich and miss home. This is a great Brazilian restaurant with a great variety of Brazilian juices and the iconic guarana, tipical serving of meat as a main dish (the meat is not served as rodizio, just to set expectations right) with portions of the most tipical Brazilian siders, white rice, beans, manioc, french fries, etc. Additional to these the best Brazilian finger foods are available: pastel, coxinha, risoles, etc. To complete the experience, the desserts can be pudim, brigadeiro among others, not just ice cream as in many other places. To summarize, when compared to other Brazilian restaurants nearby, great food, juices and tipical food and dessert. What else would one want when missing home?

A true brazilian restaurant, delicious meal

Very friendly attendant. Very cold beer. Delicious pepper sauce. Picanha with a lot of fried onion, unsalted onion, very fatty, one of the 3 pieces of picanha had the texture and taste of liver. Fried cassava but it should have been more fried, some pieces were cold inside and not fried, it seemed just boiled. Rice porridge, you could buy one with better quality, which can withstand being in the hot pan waiting for the customer without turning into mush. Beans ok, nothing special. In the end I thought the price was too high for the quality of the food when compared to other restaurants. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend or take any friends here until the moment I know the kitchen has had a major change. I'm not a cook but I guarantee that I cook much better than the food that was served on a quiet night.

Top food and everyone there is Brazilian.

Delicious plates with meat, yuca, white rice and black beans; big portions and very good prices. The waiter is super friendly and nice, he always welcomes you with a big smile. And last but not least the coldest beer I have ever had in Switzerland, ice cold.

I found it very weak. We ordered tripe broth. The broth was unsalted and the beans were raw… for dinner we ordered three picanhas, which also left something to be desired. Meat cut very thin and fried in the pan and covered in onion. I'm giving it one star because there's no option to give less.

Best Brazilian restaurant in Zurich for sure! Very good service and very tasty food!

First starting with the service, we arrived and were welcomed, everything was spoken in Portuguese, we didn't need to speak another language at any time, always very polite, asking if the food was good and always smiling. The menu is very varied, both food and drink, we ordered two small picanhas, they come with portions of rice, beans and you can choose whether you want potatoes or fried cassava. The only thing that was a little off was the rice, it looked like Japanese rice, cateto rice I think, but everything else was impeccable. Oh, and the wonderful juices. Ask for the orange one, it looks like you're sucking on a tangerine!

So, I went in with very high expectations... When we arrived, we didn't feel 100% comfortable. The lady who served us seemed sad (it's okay, there are days like that) The drumstick was hot on the outside and cold on the inside. It had a lot of dough and little filling. We ordered a large picanha plus 2 small ones. All 3 were the same. There were 3, 3 pieces of Picanha, the same size. Everything had a lot of oil. The onion without salt and the music too loud. Sorry to give this review. I hope they improve.

The picanha was expensive, and the portion of meat was very small and with a lot of fat, although I like it, but let's not go overboard! the soft drink, especially Guaraná, costs 7 Francs, I think it's very expensive.

Brazilian cuisine. Everything is Mega simple, tasty, the staff is excellent. Not expensive. It was really great for a change. There is Brazilian beer.

Picanha thinner than paper, pastry was strange, probably made in cold oil, dripping with oil, not to mention it costs 12fr 😳 and still tastes like raw dough Coxinha inside came cold and legend has it that there was a little chicken inside 😣 The rice was strange, even I, who don't know how to make rice, make it better. Fried cassava was just fried, Zero salt, it had no taste. Food is a little tasteless, small or large portions make almost no difference, but when you pay the bill you can see the difference, there is more onion than picanha on the plate, it's disproportionate, when it arrives it's more onion than meat, be careful with This is a way to make a profit without the customer receiving more for it. We gave up going to the place, because we felt wronged, it felt like the place was hungry and even poorer.

Excelent reception! Really Brazilian and delicious food, pudding, picanha, beans, farofa, delicious juice! I highly recommend it, our class was large and there was no more space, but we were directed to a private part where we felt very comfortable and were well received.

We went to the restaurant for dinner on Friday evening. Be sure to make a reservation as the restaurant is small and always busy on weekends. The service is very friendly and relaxed. I tried coxinha again to get started and I have to say they are particularly good. Afterwards we ate a large portion of picanha. The meat was very tender and the side dishes were good. Even received an extra portion of black beans and rice. For dessert I ordered a mousse de passion fruit. The cream was fine, but the typical fruit play on the cream was missing. Please do not pour fruit juice over it. In a Brazilian restaurant, a real fruit game is made from the fruits over the cream. Please change - the dessert afterwards is worlds better. Even if the price for picanha (or portion is a bit small .-) is a bit high, I can only recommend the restaurant.

Amateur service. There is a lot left to learn to work in a food establishment representing a country... I waited a long time to be served on the terrace where there were also tables in the parking lot (outside). The place was empty, but there was little desire to serve. I ordered a cappuccino and a pastry that came burnt and full of oil. I had to return it because it was impossible to eat. They brought me another similar pastry, filled with oil and burned. Which I didn't even touch because it was inconvenient. The appearance was horrible. Lots of oil. (I haven't tried it). I regret not taking a photo. Disappointment!

The food was very good and the atmosphere was also very simple but classic, like in a cantina in Brazil. Service was good and friendly. The only TV was a bit loud at times. It's nice to have music and Brazilian music, but two or three bars of quiet wouldn't be bad because people automatically talk louder if it gets too loud. Otherwise, I can only recommend it if you want to eat original Brazilian food 🙃🤗

Again, various dishes were no longer available and you don't have to rely on them from the start.

Unfortunately more than once I went there specially to eat pastel and they didn’t have it, but only in ounces it after I ordered to drink. I left hungry and frustrated. Also the portions are really small and not at all like in Brazil. They bring black beans in a small desert bowl, same goes for the other foods. They are understaffed and when the place is full it takes a long time to order and get your food. Overall not a very nice experience.
