A real pub in the middle of Zurich. Was there for lunch. As it should be, with the daily menu on the table. Soup and salad included. My hash browns were amazing.

A very good “Stübli” with very good home-style meals. Good portions and the price is good. The house Cordon Bleu is absolutely recommended! During lunchtime it is a bit noisy as there are a lot of visitors, but still within limits.

In the casino in Zurich-Altstetten you will be transported back to the last century. At lunchtime you imagine yourself in a bar in the 1990s. The relaxed and very friendly staff contribute significantly to the authenticity of the restaurant, which is a regular haunt of many clubs. In summer, a cozy terrace invites you to linger. Here you can happily browse through the menu with Swiss classics: fried meat loaf with fried eggs, meat birds, liver and a super tasty cordon bleu. The casino is one of those places where all is well with the world. This is about diving into the bygone days of daily menus, which were typed on a typewriter and stuck between the menage. My friend was thrown out of the restaurant by the landlord for no reason 5 days after he was there with a large party (ham and potato salad for around 30!!). This is the bottom drawer🤑🤑🤑

The casino could easily be described as “the village pub in the city”, the village pub in the city, which should be understood very favorably at this point! If you like chic or hip food, you should eat somewhere else, but you're definitely missing out. Because here you can find good home-style and typical Swiss cuisine, which is now becoming increasingly rare in Zurich. The staff is friendly and serves on a first-name basis, which is quite appropriate and can give you the feeling of being a valued and welcome guest. The food is freshly prepared, tastes balanced, is of good quality and is served quickly. In this respect, the price-performance ratio is also good. When the weather is nice you can enjoy your meal in the “garden seating area”. But it's worth reserving early, otherwise you run the risk of not getting a table.

Recently at the casino with a group of 3 people. All 3 ordered a Cordon Bleu. After a few bites, 2 of the 3 people had to go to the toilet and vomit. Staff were kindly informed of the circumstances. However, at the end the full bill was presented. When we asked and called “the boss” we were told again that the money would be collected in full. Never again.

Best shop in the world, 10/10 would come here again. When I first entered the shop, I thought it would be just a reagular shop, but after a time I realised it is the best shop I have ever visited.
