Sprüngli in Zürich

Junk food heaven. We don't normally eat this much sweets but this was a worthwhile stop on our trip. And it should be a stop on your trip through Switzerland too.

The products are nice but their service is absolutely terrible. We ordered 3 luxemburgerlis from the menu and the waitress just gave us 2 bisous without any explanation why they are serving these instead, nor mentioning the price difference. We tried to ask for Luxemburgerlis but the waitress was extremely rude and went away. Why do you forcefully sell your customers something they didn’t order without giving proper explanation? They even gave us the survey paper which was already marked with smiley faces rating their services. What a joke. I’m glad we had a pen to fix this fake survey.

The service on this Cafe is not friendly at all. Also I am quite impressed that there were no Luxemburgueli available if they are always available in the normal stores. Instead they offered some sort of new version and didn’t say they costed more. I also think it is quite shameless that they pass the survey with the bill already filled with good reviews, not allowing the guest to actually rate their service. It’s not as nice as they think it is, or maybe they don’t want guests to rate the actual service they receive. The only good thing from this place is the quality of the Sprüngli products, which is good as always. It is better just to grab sprüngli products from one of the normal stores and eat in some other Cafe.

Located on the main avenue of Zürich, the most famous candy store in Switzerland. You can't pass up this place with a great view and atmosphere.

Came in to see if we could grab a soup and coffee with my mom, as she is visiting town. The hostess managing the tables, was eyerolling so hard she didn’t have the time for kind service. Love Sprüngli, but the privileged attitude of staff does not make it feel inclusive & accessible for all, so decided to go somewhere else nicer.

This is chocolate that cannot be bought in Japan. "Springley" (ﾉﾟοﾟ)ﾉ Ohhhh This is a delicious chocolate recommended in Europe. We highly recommend this as a souvenir from Switzerland. ŧ‹"ŧ‹"(・ч・)ŧ‹"ŧ‹" About 10 years ago it was 4,000 to 5,000 yen... Currently, it is about 10,000 yen in Japanese yen... Gar(꒪д꒪)n This is also Kishida and the Liberal Democratic Party's fault. Because the Japanese yen has become so weak that Japan has become a poor country, delicious food from overseas is now twice as expensive as it was 10 years ago. ＿|￣|○

I had a pleasant time with the kind staff. Of course the chocolate drink was delicious. It's always crowded and busy, so it's hard to relax. There is also no Wi-Fi.

All sorts of deliciousness, even from a veggie. Great for a mixed crowd memorable experieince. We had brunch, and the quinoa salad husband was delicious with its great style and colorful presentation including a design in sliced figs and cheese. My husband (not veggie) ate benedict on bagel , which included a colorful layer of avacado purree. There was a caesar salad that came with a pod of bacon on top. Cappucino and chocoloate cake were amazing. My main regret is that I did not try the hot chocolate. There's always next time.

Please don't eat the bircher muesli classique. Leave it to me I will eat it. Not like today. I came here and there was nothing left.

bad... nothing to say. Stay 3 to 5 meters away from the shop... just like inform the peoples what's going on. They call the police and I got arrested. Good connection the Café Sprüngli to the police. Maybe the police get a Chocolate Easter bunny for free....

Sprüngli on Paradeplatz is a Zurich institution - and not just because of the Luxemburgerli. It is a place where time seems to stand still. The interior is reminiscent (if I had experienced this time personally) of the 1950s. I was here recently. I was in a lively conversation and gesticulating while I knocked over my warm chocolate milk, which I had only taken two or three sips of, and emptied it over the table. Of course, we immediately started wiping everything up, with the waitress' active cooperation. We had barely finished cleaning up the crime scene when a replacement was already on the table. Of course, we thanked everyone very much (and of course also apologized for the inaction) and gave an appropriate tip at the end. No offense in the case. I'd love to come back - if I'm still entertained :-)

One of the best Sunday brunches or the best brunch offer. The selection is very large, excellent and very tasty. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

For years I have been traveling to Sprüngli in Zurich specifically for Easter cakes. Although they now cost a whopping CHF 25, they taste less good every year. The lowest point has currently been reached. The typical grainy rice taste in the filling gives way to an artificial-tasting yellow indefinable mass, the edge and bottom are hard and, to top it off, there are lots of lumps of raisins. It's sad that this once exclusive product now looks like a cheap copy 😞

I was at this establishment with my 9 year old mixed race daughter. To the middled aged lady staff member that gestured aggressively at her because she was accidentally leaning against the chocolate stand because another German lady customer was talking to her - rude is rude in alll languages. One does not need to speak English to be kind or hostile. You were rude and hostile to a 9 year old just because you can get away with it. It’s unacceptable and unfair and you should know better. Manners are manners no matter the language and you should be ashamed of yourself.

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Sprüngli cafe in Zurich and found it to be a delightful spot for a coffee break. Although some offerings might not be extraordinary, the overall experience, combined with the opportunity to enjoy a leisurely coffee in a great setting, makes Sprüngli cafe a recommendable visit.

I always enjoy coming to Sprüngli and am always satisfied and have been for years. Unfortunately, the one lady (short, short haircut, slim) at the counter was again very unfriendly and rude today. No question about the customer card or how I would like to pay. You can have a bad day the first time, but it seems like that's often the case, according to my work colleagues. Very unfortunate.

Perfect place for getting Swiss chocalate. It is also great to catch your breath and have a coffe and dessert during shopping at Bahnhofstrasse.

Very good chocolate from a legendary café. Great staff. There might be a lack of simple pastries... for good chocolate, the price is not exorbitant. Next door there is a shop! Go upstairs. The ground floor is a bit stuffy

The food was delicious! I truly loved the avocado toast with gluten-free bread on the side. The eggs were poached to perfection. Our server was wonderful, speaking multiple languages. They also have lactose-free milk for cappuccinos and hot chocolates!!!

Confiserie Sprüngli offers a magnificent array of chocolates and sweet specialties, rich with the scent of history. A must-visit location where delightful treats are affordable for everyone. Keep in mind, it can get very busy!

It was quite okay. Unfortunately it was pretty overcrowded. Too little space in relation to the number of seats. If you like completely overcrowded... My advice would be a few fewer seats, even if you can't make quite as much profit per square meter during peak times. Every McDonald's at every main train station in the world offers guests significantly more space. Nowhere else in Zurich will you be so crowded and packed so tightly together. I have no idea why anyone likes to go here.

The desserts we ordered were good however the hot chocolate wasn't something special. There was also a great variety of desserts and cakes to buy.

Excellent place to enjoy cakes and all Swiss confectionery. The restaurant offers a generous view of the emblematic Bahnhofstr, and top-notch coffee. It has a wide variety of sweet pastries such as Strudel, Millefeuille, Black Forest, and also savory bakery such as traditional croissants and braids.

By far the best Luxemburgerli (macarons) on the planet. But be careful: once you have enjoyed it, you are lost to everyone else!

I'm a chocolate lover, and after reading a few posts about racial discrimination, I heard that it was expensive, so I went on a backpacking trip alone and decided to buy some for gifts. When I went there and everyone was busy, an old lady with white hair saw me snooping around and gave me various answers. He told me to buy it at the airport cotton shop since it is easy to carry around, and we had some small talk. He then asked me to try one and gave me a truffle vanilla as a gift. I was very touched. Does it taste different from other handmade products? Should I say so? Anyway, I felt this kind of emotion, so I don't think you need to worry about racial discrimination. You were so kind.

My favourite place. Staff is always very friendly and accommodating. Old school and I love it! I also like the atmosphere, upstairs and downstairs. Bake the most delicious Grittibänzli and the Birchermüesli is simply heavenly! Merciii!

*Read all these one star reviews before you decide whether to go* Staff is BLOODY ARROGANT! Don’t even bother, sickening attitude that consumers should not tolerate. Boycott these haughty brands that appreciate you only when you fill their pockets, otherwise you’re nothing but garbage in the servers’ eyes. No modicum of respect for customers. Anyway the restaurant food is also subpar, only the views are nice but restaurant tables are small and not kid friendly. Pastries are a fair cut below those in France at a price tag very high above them. Go to John baker next door for nicer bread. Oh, the coffee is terrible as well, don’t waste your hard earned money.

A veritable shrine to the art of chocolate making, with a stunningly beautiful interior (and adjacent cafe), and all varieties of fine chocolate. No American should ever again allow a Hershey's chocolate bar to pass their lips after tasting a Sprungli single-origin confection.

I do not recommend overpaying. The quality has deteriorated, while prices have increased. For this price I get palm oil..

The Sprüngli shone as always, even though yesterday was a gloomy day. Staff courteous and friendly. Had a corn roll with chicken and tomato at the takeaway. The bread is soft on the inside and CROSS on the outside. Chicken soft and juicy. Tomatoes 👌although not seasonal. The price is right.

Definitely the worst hot hot chocolate out of all famous places in the center of Zurich. Service was good the atmosphere nice. The sandwiches and savory stuff in the fridge looked sad. Overall overly touristic place

My wife and I had lunch in the restaurant (1st floor) on November 23rd, 2023; I ate an omelette with chanterelles and pumpkin vegetables which resulted in a serious upset stomach ‼️It's not easy for me to write this because my wife and I have been customers for many years and have always been satisfied. However, this dish was a scandal!!

Once upon a time there was very good coffee. Today it is just a copy of itself. Was at Sprüngli today, Saturday 11/18/23. Ordered coffee after 15 minutes. Still got nothing. Coffee beans probably have to be imported from Costa Rica first. I then left without consuming. Poorly trained staff, no gastronomy experience. About 3 mt ago. Even worse. Ordered coffee and cream slices, only the coffee came, the rest was probably forgotten at the end, which was the biggest impudence. They also wanted to collect the cream slices. Sorry not like that. I will never come to you again either. There are plenty of other cafes.

It‘s always a special treat to come to Sprüngli when I am in Zurich. We all know that everything tastes absolutely delicious and is made out if best ingredients, but what I like the most is the great staff! They look and act very professional, kind and friendly and there are almost no waiting times (because they have enough staff), even though the store is sometimes full of tourists. Other stores could learn a lot about the customer service from Sprüngli!
