A good address for healthy food lovers

We ordered two californa bowls and two juices. The juices were fine but the california bowls were not. Salmon tasted tangy and the lettuce / salad was far from fresh. All just tasted like it has been sitting around for a long time. This would be fine if the price reflected the quality. It does not. We paid CHF 30+ per bowl, simply to throw it all in the trash. What a waste of money and resources. We will never order here again. That's what we get for trying to eat healthy.

A very standard and easy place for lunch, food is okay nothing really stands out, but I guess it’s very much to be expected by a large chain that seems to cater most lunch break meals. Prices for no protein and only veggie options could be a bit lower.

This lunchtime I sat at the front window and ate the monthly special with pumpkin, I can only recommend it to everyone 👌. The service is super happy and the food is really very tasty. When it comes to ambience, for me cleanliness is also important. The front window is extremely dirty with flies and mosquitoes and the entrance door carpet is full of dog hair. When the door opens at the local and the lights go out in the evening, everything should always be Picobello. I am convinced that you can do this very well as a team. Wish the team and the restaurant much success 👌.

I just grab a california poke bowl (Oerlikon) to take away, and I received another dressing and no salmon at all! I literally payed 23 francs for nothing but salad, rice and almost nothing of the other "key ingredients". This is not acceptable.

A beautiful location. The dishes are always very, very fresh. My meal was outstanding.

This was a 5 star place 4-6 months ago but something has changed (management, team?). I order take-away at least 4 times a week, salad-making time used to be 15 mins now 15-30 you never know and more on the longer side. Special instructions are neglected most of the times. Portions and ingredients vary from day to day. For the money they charge for a simple salad I'd expect it to be pristine and it became a mediocre salad hut. So from a 5-start place it's plummeted to a 2 star mediocre salad booth.

So 1 hour of waiting time for a dish - disaster is just what happens when an arrogant sleeping German is on the grill.

Very tasty food, everything fresh and nicely presented, the place is very clean and it's a pleasure to be here. Very nice service. I had a little problem with the order because I don't speak German very well, so I was pleasantly surprised when a nice young gentleman suggested that I could order in Polish 🥰. I recommend it to everyone 👍👍👍

For 17 francs of LinsenDahl I expect a little more, I think it's a huge impudence for the price. The staff is super friendly, the salads are good but this portion annoys me. The take away boxes always run out, whether it's salad or hot stuff, but that's the case in all branches.

Japanese Beef Bowl was amazing! Fresh beef and NO minced meat! With the fresh salads, sweet mango, peanuts and a good portion of rice, the bowl is healthy, filling and very tasty. The service was competent & friendly The restaurant bright and clean Keep it up Dean&David

I am not sure what has happened to D&D recently, but the food and the service have gone downhill. Ingredients are always missing from salads (can happen once, but not regularly) and quality has changed a lot. Waiting times quite long compared to the past and quite messy the salad bar. Food taste is pretty good but everything else would need a big improvement.

Actually everything is good. But since you have to wait for the food like in a canteen, the price is stupid. Now every badi has these pagers so you don't just have to wait around. Why can't Dean and David do this?

This was the worst experience ever! I just ordered two meals from Dean&David using UberEat in Zurich. Dean&David did not put one of the meals into the bag for the Uber driver. I called the restaurant to complain. The service agent of the restaurant picket up the phone not even mentioning the name of the restaurant but just his name, leaving me puzzeled for a moment. He was very rude and also misinformed. He told me that the driver checks the bag but thats actually not true. Uber drivers dont and should not look into the bags they deliver. I really hope they do a clulture check on their employees, this was very unacceptable!

I got an açai bowl. It had no taste of açai whatsoever. Basically I ate a pink smoothie at room temperature, that tasted like strawberry? Everything was served in so much plastic for no reason, we ate on the spot...

The staff are very friendly, but I think the taste of the coffee beans is average. After all, it is a chain coffee shop, but there are many vegetarian options. It is still worth coming for breakfast.

The menu offers a wide selection of fresh ingredients and delicious sauces, giving you a diverse selection of bowls to choose from. If this isn't enough, you can add additional toppings. The ingredients are fresh and of high quality and the portions are generous. In addition to the bowls, there is also a good selection of drinks, including freshly squeezed juices. I definitely recommend the juices for the vitamin kick. The atmosphere is modern and cozy, and the employees are always friendly, extremely attentive and accommodating. I feel very welcome here every time. Overall, this dean&david is a great restaurant for healthy and delicious food. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious bowl.

Fresh Lunch Huge variety of salads , Bowl , Smoothies, Shakes, Fresh juice . You can build /made your own . I suggest crunch bowl with extra chicken . Delicious salad , Freshly grilled chicken and Asian sauce . On counter aside u can more seeds , oil , Sesame , Balsamic, Chilli etc .

Today we did a test 1 plate with regular chicken 1 plate with extra chicken (5.- surcharge) There is exactly the same amount inside & they don't have the restaurant & take away thing under control either. After they noticed, they simply served the food (which is much less) from the take away bowl into the plate with the wrong sauce. Very unfortunate. A lot of money for little food.

Absolute rubbish. Avocado/halloumi salad for 25.- not even a quarter of avocados, the worst halloumi I've ever eaten. Salad practically not cut. Stone hard and stale bread. Anyone who eats rubbish like this knows nothing about food.

It's 3:15 p.m. I'm looking forward to Dean&David and get off at Bleicherweg. Order red lentils, menu salad and a rescue. I make myself comfortable and even though I'm the only guest, I have to get up again to get a lukewarm meal. I give it back and a little later I receive it again only half warmed up. The rice is now even colder and dry. D&D was the wrong decision for today, because for Fr. 29.00 I could have eaten a freshly prepared steak at Mogros on Bellvue.

Extremely slow when it comes to take-away deliveries. I ordered at 1:58 p.m. and still haven't prepared a salad at 3:25 p.m. It makes you wonder how the employees work...

Had the crunchy chicken bowl. Too many ingredients made it an incoherent mess. Moreover the chicken was quite greasy, and not really crunchy. Also found it quite strange to get a disposable bowl when ordering to eat in.

Was here today, at 2 p.m., the man was friendly and had a good cafe with milk, very nice cups and the food was very good... I would love to come back to this kind of restaurant in Zurich. It would be good if there was an organic cafe and no coffin caffe next I'll take matcha and tell everyone I know to come over to see you... 😁😊🤭

Modern, friendly fast casual concept. Somewhat complicated walking paths for guests, staff but very friendly, uncomplicated and organized. Prices are ok for this location, the very good quality justifies it. Use preorder option to avoid queue. Will come again.

Until yesterday we only knew the bombastic juices from dean&david. Today we were there for lunch with work colleagues for the first time. The service was very personable and friendly. Since my work colleague has food allergies, it is often frustrating when the staff can hardly provide any information. This was not the case here. The cashier was able to answer any questions and offered him various alternatives. The food was great and exactly what we had imagined. We'd love to come back!

Salad was already brownish and the salad saus tasted like nothing, waterie. payed 20.- that was very upsetting. The service take away eas pretty slow.

The salat bowl is fresh, looking good, for bowls i waited 20 minute, but the chicken was a little bit to burned.

I've been to Dean&David a few times for lunch and I really liked the self-service screens (there should be more of them though) and the quick customer service. The main reason for a 3-star rating is the food. They do offer a few vegan options which is great but most of them don't taste that great, which is disappointing given the price. There are certainly better options for vegans nearby.

@deananddavid_schweiz was quite disappointing for lunch - bowls look nice, but the grilled chicken came out of a steamer (and tasted like that), service was very stressed and almost rude and the sauce was very heavy and whitish (even though it was supposed to be soy based)…prices are good for Zurich (20.-/ bowl), but there are better places to eat out😂🙃(visited in Sept 2021)

We ordered two chicken avocado bowls for the price of one bowl (uber eat) - we wouldn't have done that. The food was old and inedible and the call could not be answered at the branch.

This evening my friend and I ordered a salmon avocado bowl - which according to the menu includes coriander - and a self-made bowl: jasmine rice, salmon, pomegranate, edamame, lettuce leaf, avocado with sesame sauce and extra ingredients. On the one hand, the cashier treated us as new customers incompetently, as there was hardly any need for clarification about the items on her part. We also ordered pomegranate with the salmon avocado bowl and coriander with the homemade bowl. Unfortunately for us, there was basically no ginger available, but coriander would have been good too. The salmon avocado bowl did not contain any coriander or pomegranate as ordered and paid for. The self-made bowl also didn't contain coriander. In addition, we bought a salad that had already been provided from the refrigerated section for 7 p.m. The cashier "Kiki" neither gave me a receipt nor did she mention the price or how much money I should give her. I gave her 50.-, she took it and gave me back about 25.- and a few centimes. So that means she didn't give me back at least 6 euros. Unfortunately, I didn't notice this until later because the bowls had already arrived and I was otherwise distracted because other customers were already queuing. We are real poke bowl lovers and wanted to give dean&david a chance, unfortunately the service wasn't good, the sale was handled very dubiously, the money wasn't charged to me correctly, without a receipt, and I didn't even see the price of the salad on the checkout screen , the price wasn't said either, just incorrect amount of money returned. There were also missing ingredients that we paid for! We are very disappointed…

Underground... Delivery absolutely unusable! After 2 hours the food was still not delivered (delivery time was set to 75 Minutes specified which is bad) I found out that the order had been forgotten. That's it for me!

OMG whats wrong with the chicken? Salad and dressing great but far away from grilled chicken. Tastes like soggy boiled chicken. For 20CHF very disappointing. Had one bite and had to throw the other pieces away.

I ate on Wednesday afternoon. The salads are great, but the service is so bad that you can't enjoy your food, unfriendly and certainly unprofessional. UNFORTUNATELY...

I ordered the salad bowl and the sweet potatoes were hard, the flafel was extremely floury and heavy, no fork was provided, the pieces of lettuce were the size of a hand so not easy to eat, and the sauce was extremely watery. For the price of 25 CHF per bowl, a very bad salad. Was my first and last order.

Terrible. For a 45chf salad bowl, half of the things i ordered (through uber eats) not there and they included mozarella and i am lactose intolerant. I called the restaurant and the person answering the phone was unprofessional and told me to handle it directly with uber as i ordered it through them. Excuse me? How is uber responsible for the salad YOU prepared?! No apology no way to trying to solve it and make the client happy. What happened to customer service? Again. unacceptable. Last time I ever order from this place and will make sure friends also don't. I felt disrespected in every way while speaking to the responsible. Very sad.

Portions are rather small, prices are rather high. Beef was tough. Therefore rating “not so good”. For me, a typical “lifestyle restaurant”. It doesn't have to be anymore.

I really love their bowls and salads with fresh ingredients. You can combine your own choice or use one of the really good suggestions. Their salad dressings are divine. When I’m in their vicinity I usually get the "crispy beef bowl" with vegan sesame chicken and without carbs.
