We enjoyed a delicious fondue here!

Very good restaurant in the old town of Montreux. The food is delicious and the boss is very nice!

Very good cheese fondue, nice location in the old town of Montreux. Friendly and quick service. Children are also taken into consideration. Price/performance more than acceptable for Switzerland. Clear recommendation - we would definitely come back.

This restaurant can be found if you walk up the hill for about 15 to 20 minutes from the Freddie Mercury statue. The walk up was difficult, but the Google reviews were good, so I decided to eat out here for the first time on my trip to Switzerland. Other people's reviews said there was a lady there, but we were greeted by a guy. When we arrived a little after 11:30, there was no one other than us, and around 12:00, several local people came and ate. Please note. The owner is friendly. There was no problem communicating with the menu using the translator. Anything that could not be captured through the translator was resolved using body language. Truffle fondue / veal dish / creme brûlée cost 73 francs and 2 people ate and it was a lot. It was my first time eating fondue. Personally, I preferred eating it with French fries rather than the bread that came with it. The meat was tender and the carrots were delicious.

Great restaurant, amazing location and delicious foods

A superb address, we had a great time, well advised by a true and professional boss, our half/half fondue was succulent, accompanied by a board of dried meat and a few small potatoes. An address that I highly recommend. A family from the Basque country.

Got food poisoning, would not recommend. In reply to the owner: I had turkey with vegetables and chips. I think the mayonnaise was homemade and so it can only have been the egg in that (the turkey was well cooked).

Icy reception: the kitchen is about to close, the credit card machine does not work, the fondue costs 25 francs, there are 3 of us, there is more bread than fondue and it is lukewarm.

Warm welcome, very very good Swiss fondue.

The boss is extremely kind, incredibly attentive, from the moment we made our reservation. We ate a half-and-half fondue: it was excellent. There were 7 of us at the table, from 7 to 65 years old, and we all had a great time.

Great discovery. A magnificent place. Impeccable service. Delicious food with a very nice mise en place. Salmon trout and hunting terrine, very succulent. The salad accompanying the terrine was surprisingly fresh and melted in the mouth. The vegetables accompanying the fish, cooked in one way, deliciously! A real pleasure to the eye, and a treat to the taste buds. Alcohol-free cocktails, delicious 😋 A place to revisit at any time. Recommended to book in advance...

We ate very well, mushroom crust, fresh chanterelles, magnificent pheasant terrines. Entrecôtes (soft butter) with homemade fries in addition, the friendly welcome with the gourmet passport in a great setting, thank you for this very good culinary moment. Well done, I recommend to everyone we loved it

The was probably the best meal we had in Switzerland. They have a menu that changes every 3 months. It’s a small menu with high quality ingredients.

The truffle fondue was liquid, it looked like soup! Dirty toilets This is not a restaurant to recommend.

Ultra liquid fondue. It looks like it is being cut with water. The worst fondue I ate in Switzerland. Personally the one I make is much better. We wonder if it is not an industrial fondue with little cheese like those sold in low-end restaurants in resorts in France. Toilets borderline clean

Immediately after enjoying the absinthe parfait that we ordered as dessert, we have to give it five stars and give it a clear recommendation! You sit beautifully, whether inside or outside, are served quickly by the very nice innkeeper, are served wonderful food and good wine... and leave this restaurant completely happy! Thank you! A corner of Montreux which deserves to be known both for the location under a pretty terrace decorated with the pleasant sound of the waterfall seen on the mob just above our heads, simply a magical moment not to mention the warm welcome from the master of these places very professional service no moments of waiting between each smooth service without stress the dishes all impeccably cooked the meat of the trout melts in the mouth seasoned very gently with lemon butter delicate presentation and the fresh fries not greasy mmm The tartare just to die for, perfectly seasoned, top notch, a place where we remain surprised by such service where we don't expect it, we're sure we'll return, a great discovery.

It is located quite far up a steep slope. As others have written, although there is an English menu, English is not spoken. However, we can still communicate somehow. We used it for dinner, and it didn't feel like a tourist restaurant, but was crowded with locals. I ordered a chicken teriyaki flavored plate, cheese fondue, and Swiss wine. The cheese fondue was rich but not overpowering, and the wine was delicious. Is teriyaki flavored chicken a dish inspired by Japanese yakitori? It had an interesting taste that was both Japanese and Western.

It's the only fondue I've had in Switzerland, and it tastes good. It's a bit difficult to get there from Montreux because it's uphill, but the waitress was very friendly with a cozy style, and although she only spoke French, she tried to let me know as much as I could through her body language and facial expressions. Sea Food: Catch of the day & garish I ate the fish because it was recommended to me, and the fish was so soft, there were no bones, and it magically melted and disappeared as soon as I put it in my mouth... . The fondue was a truffle fondue, and I ordered it with french fries and it didn't have that cheesy smell (?) that I was worried about. Instead, it came in a pot full of thick cheese and truffle flavor! I sliced ​​the bread they provided and dipped it in, and it tasted like something out of this world... . It’s a taste that makes Swiss people the envy of the world. Since it smells slightly of alcohol, I guess wine is also used as an ingredient. Anyway, we ordered white wine Montreux Lavaux AOC and St-Saphorin Lavaux AOC « Cœur de Lavaux, and they go together perfectly! Also, I drank this wine and it was clean and smooth... . If you're wondering where to go to eat Swiss food after coming to Lausanne or Montreux, take the time to find it and try it. We were the only tourists there, and from the looks of it, there were only people who looked like locals.

Are you looking for a good Swiss restaurant in Montreux?! Go here! The owner doesn't speak English, but there is an English menu and you can use a translator to order. Truffle fondue, Seafood: catch of the day, and two glasses of white wine cost 75 francs. I was worried that the fondue cheese flavor would be strong, but it was so delicious that my worries were for naught. Be sure to order truffle fondue!

The dishes tasted were very good and very well presented and the recommended wines were delicious. There was a very, very noisy group at the same time as us, a bit of a shame, otherwise the setting is very nice.

A local restaurant located uphill. The staff does not speak English but she was friendly when taking our orders. We used Google Translate to communicate with her. Ordered Civet de Sanglier and Filet de Boeuf. Both the dishes were cooked well. They were quite delicious although a bit too salty for our taste. Simple presentation. but the foods felt authentic. A simple paper game was provided for you to play while waiting for the foods to be ready.

Highly recommended. Good foods and incredible services. The table matt is really interesting as well, offering a little pastime when you're waiting for your meals. The matt has a "Qui est qui" activity printed on top for you to match the names of some notable figures, related to Montreux, with thier pictures. The chef was very friendly. He greeted the client table by table during our meals and before his shift ended. The waiter was also kind. We were given an extra pencil when we were about to leave and asked him for a table matt to take away with us. These kind and little gestures are what make an hospitality establishment worth visiting.

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Everything - from the location to the absolutely incredible food - made this dinner so memorable. We were fortunate enough to bump into a lovely woman who lives locally - Anke kindly gave us the recommendation to eat here and walked us up into the village. We were staying by the lake so finding this absolutely charming part of Montreux was part of the magic. With that said, the food was spectacular. The risotto may have been the best I’ve ever had, the steak was divine, the fondue with truffles was decadent in the best way, and the tomato salad with fresh mozzarella was as good as they come. Do t miss dessert either :). You absolutely cannot go wrong eating here (prices are very reasonable as well). With thanks to the staff and especially our guardian angel Anke!

Nice location...although you wouldn't say this at first glance, away from the hustle and bustle. In the old town. Service very friendly. Food & drinks quite ok. Price-quality highly recommended. We enjoyed.

Pretty little dining room in a café atmosphere. Cooking perfect red meats. Original dishes with local products. The terrace is also very nice and the tartars are succulent.

The discreet and intimate setting, the menu is modern, the service fast and very attentive... we ate an excellent beef tartare with summer truffle and a tasty veal tartare with white truffle, a treat, the cream pistachio brulee is incredible, the Ticino wine is tasty, an address that we can recommend with our eyes closed, 10/10

During our day's stay in Montreux, we stopped into the cozy restaurant in the old town in the evening and were warmly welcomed. The food was very good (beef tartare and stuffed poultry - both highly recommended). The chef personally asked afterwards whether we enjoyed the food - he was really very attentive. Clear recommendation when visiting Montreux.

Historic restaurant in the Planches district, typical. Careful cuisine and pleasant service. Come and tread the cobblestones of the bridge above the Chaudron gorges like many personalities for several centuries. Close to the station, covered parking (Donner) just 3 minutes away. Enjoy your meal.
