Effinger in Bern

Looks like a great co-working space! I mainly went there to grab a quick coffee before heading back home. The coffee beans are more on the light and smooth side, so not too flavored. Perhaps taking an espresso macchiato will give you the most flavor.

We went to Effinger for lunch and tried the famous pies. Both the vegetarian and vegan pie were super delicious! A colorful salad is served with the pies. The atmosphere is also super cozy and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We thought it was great that you can order at the counter and pay directly and then have the food served to you. Thank you, dear Effinger team, we felt very comfortable with you and would love to come back!

This review is only for the café part of the space. I was shocked on how slow the internet was, when it struggled to open some websites I did a speedtest and it told me 1.3 download, 0.8 upload. I wouldn’t expect this from a any space in europe, much less from a location with cowork. If you ignore the slow internet, the coffee was really good, the space is nice and has a vibe to it, that’s why I was so surprised with the bad quality of the internet, therefore it still gets the 4 stars but because it has coworking on the name I was tempted to give 3 stars.
