Over All - 5 Food 5: beautifully prepared, very good quality, fresh. The saddle of venison was perfect bleu and a great quantity. the best saddle of venison I've ever had. Ambiance 5: nice furnishings, lots of wood, large terrace in summer Staff/Service 5: very friendly, very prompt Wine 5: very small wine list, but good selection at fair prices. Price performance 5: the quality is always very good and you always get enough. We recommend the special coffee with cream for dessert

Very friendly staff. I like the location and view. The road up there is really cool, especially in winter. You can take good pictures and with the right vehicle you can have even more fun. So it's definitely worth it 👌

Great food (rösti and salad!) and a hearty cheese plate at an unbeatable price. Also very child-friendly with a playground outside, lots of baby chairs, children's cutlery and a play area inside!

The "End of the World" is a beautiful local recreation area. You feel like you're in another world. On the way there is the cozy restaurant “Ende der Welt”, which is always busy. The staff is courteous and the food from the kitchen is delicious. Worth mentioning are the delicious desserts.

There is a smear when eating. The lasagna is made with raclette cheese. If you don't like this cheese, it takes some getting used to. The fish was excellent. Likewise the service.

Swiss cuisine in a very nice atmosphere. There is nothing to complain about. Service was quick & friendly. Food was very well cooked. I would recommend booking on the weekend. Just to be on the safe side. I was able to get the last available table on a Saturday evening. (Reserved 2 hours in advance) Tip Top and many thanks to Ms. Bissig and her team. See you next time

Excellent food, great views at the end of a valley with steep rock faces. It's better to reserve in advance. Prices are a little higher but justified considering the delicacies.

Quiet, idyllic and relaxing until the payment process came. At the same time as us, other customers ordered the bill. As we walked in, one could still hear a clearly negative comment about the table with some men with a migrant background. This group didn't strike anyone else as being disruptive or weird. But the waitress was still bothered by the paying guests. End of the world... you could say that... also the political attitude. Oh, didn't want to leave a tip. But the remaining money was simply pocketed. Funny.

My favorite restaurant! I have never eaten game so well anywhere else and the knöpfli are heavenly.

Excellent local food restaurant, with a good view of the mountains and a modern and cozy atmosphere. We had a good broccoli soup and a home-made Deer Sausage with Onion Sauce and rosti, and an Apfelstrudel with ice cream. Everything was delicious and very well prepared! We were served by Rita who was very attentive and patient in explaining various local dishes in English as we didn't know some of them. Would definitely recommend and will be back when visiting Engelberg again!

Nice place in the Horbistal, inside there is a homely and cozy atmosphere. The service was very attentive, friendly and humorous. The food was excellent and we didn't have to wait long. I can only recommend the restaurant.

Drank delicious mulled wine. A wonderful sun terrace invites you to linger. A nicer ambience would justify the high prices on the menu. Unfortunately a bit loveless outside. Very nice service. Parking spaces right in front of the door.

Very fine game food, beautiful terrace and the staff lovingly looked after my granddaughter when she was stung by a wasp. Nice, the candle for your birthday, despite the stress of the employees. However, two stars are deducted for the extremely long waiting time for the food, 45 minutes (just the waiting time from the time we ordered and until we could order, it also took too long). More staff is probably wishful thinking these days, but it was urgently needed because all the seats on the entire terrace and inside were occupied. Logically, the employees are stressed (they weren't harsh to us, but to our neighbors at the next table) and unfortunately they don't have time, for example to give advice on which wine would be recommended with the meal.

As always, the game was simply perfect, even my partner, who is not a game fan, liked the pepper. The house was completely rebuilt, giving it a beautifully bright and inviting guest room that still retained the old coziness.

End of the World is a very popular destination. But also an insider tip for gourmands; namely the “End-der-Welt” restaurant. Stylishly restored in 2014, with a spacious table arrangement suitable for couples and groups. Also outside in the warm seasons. The cuisine offers traditional and extravagant dishes, such as “venison entrecôte in a salt crust”! A successful idea implemented excellently (and as delicately as butter). Pair it with the right wine. It is worth it! It's best to combine an excursion with culinary delights.

Actually a special, beautiful restaurant that we have visited several times at the "end of Engelberg". Unfortunately very disappointing “service” from the landlady today. After a long wait, instead of drinks there were only bad words. We then left the restaurant disappointed. Never again!

A restaurant to drive to unless you like a long walk back to Engelberg in the dark. Simple menu. We had steak. When one was found to be overcooked they were apologetic and immediately cooked again fresh. Most dined outside as they had children or like al fresco dining. We sat in with the hunting trophies. The cook had caught the trout himself fresh that day. Friendly service.

One of the best Älplermagronen ever. We go to Engelberg every year for this culinary delight. The new restaurant is very attractive and the price is also right.

Over All 4.8 The end of the world is a legend. Easy to reach either by car in 8' or with a short walk from the village in 30'. A super traditional, cozy restaurant. Food 5: beautifully prepared, good quality, meat from our own hunt. Ambience 4.5: beautiful furnishings in warm colors without unnecessary things. Two or three small partitions would seem even more homely than it already is. Staff/Service 5: friendly and prompt. Wine 4.5: small wine list, good prices Price performance 5: sensational.
