Restaurant Ritz Gerschnialp in Engelberg

We waited and waited for the waitress to bring the food we ordered for our children. We asked her several times, but it never came. She said that we just had to wait. But after an hour, and about 40 minutes after the adults‘ food, she still could not tell us where our food was. Very poor service. No time to be polite or take us seriously.

Very bad crowd management, 1h waiting for 2 fried eggs and a portion of fries. Waiters are nice and they work very hard but they have too many tables to manage.

The toilet was so full that someone pooped on the floor. The food was decent but took far too long. The whole area was unsympathetic and untidy

We were on the Landart trail and stopped here to grab a bite to eat. The weather was great and we were lucky to get a table on the terrace. The garnished sausage/cheese salads were huge and tasted very good. The service was very friendly and attentive and the waiting time was only short. I can only recommend this restaurant with a great view.

We have enjoyed coming to Gerschnialp for years. We usually spend the night and enjoy the good food in the evening. It's excellent every time.

Cozy restaurant in nature. I ate chamois pepper and it was very good. The man in service had a bit of stress because he did it well on his own.

Good restaurant in a fantastic landscape

Good restaurant, probably the only option is you go to the blue slopes there. However, not as good as other restaurants in the area. As Italian, I've been a bit disappointed by the pineapple on "pasta", but at least it was easy to remove.

Simple mountain pub, friendly service, kitchen open almost all day. The cold platter is very filling. I don't know the warm kitchen yet, nor the view, unfortunately.

Very friendly. There is also a practice slope, with the magic carpet belonging to the ski school. 100m from the house there is a button lift (not used), a little further a pony lift and even further down a T-bar lift. We found it ideal here to be able to improve your skills in a safe environment. From the Bähnli terminus you can get there via an easy blue slope or by bus for 2chf/person.

Je ne m'embalerai pas sur cet endroit, la chambre est correct pour le prix et le repas n'a rien d'incroyable, mais aussi correct. La serveuse parlant anglais a toutefois été très aimable et arrangé un bon déjeuner tôt le matin. Merci a elle!

Alles prima. Heel lekker en verzorgd eten, prima desserts. Alleen spijtig dat er geen free WiFi beschikbaar is. Vroeger was dit wel en het zou echt leuk en een mertwzzrde zijn voor toeristen. Alvast bedankt. Wij komen hier al meer dan 40 jaar.

Die Speisekarte hält keine Überraschungen bereit, in typisch schweizerischer Manier gutbürgerlich. Hervorzuheben ist das schmackhafte, auf den Punkt gegarte Gemüse als Beilage zu einem Stück Fleisch aus der Grillpfanne. Die Küche liefert jahrein, jahraus eine solide Leistung. Das Personal besteht zu einem grossen Teil aus langjährigen, bekannten Gesichtern. Kleine Änderungswünsche am Gericht werden zuverlässig ausgeführt. Man kommt immer wieder gerne ins Gasthaus Gerschnialp.

Gute Lage, aber nicht so tolle Ausstattung

This place has so much to offer in such a resplendent & serene way. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this little gem in the Swiss Alps! The hosts (owners), Andreas & Christine Häcki are two lovely people (along with their adorable boys, Paul, Jonas & Lucas) who are both humble & gracious. The room was simple, clean & had everything I needed - including a fantastic view! The restaurant even had a terrific outside terrace area that could accommodate lots of people. The food was exquisite with its many choices to suit any diet. They even had wild meats available which I sampled. Amazing! The building itself has character & the grounds are a pleasure to walk around. Can’t say enough about this place. Highly recommend it to any & all.

Super schöne Aussicht, nette Bedienung und leckeres Essen.

Das Essen ist gutbürgerlich und immer sehr gut. Viele verschiedene Gemüse als Beilage. Servierpersonal sehr freundlich auch bei Hochbetrieb. Chef/Chefin arbeiten mit. Schöne Sonnenterrasse. Auf jeden Fall ein Besuch wert.

Sehr leckeres Essen, kinderfreundlich

Wir waren fünf Mal in Engelberg und haben gerade dieses nette Restaurant von Freunden aus der Umgebung erfahren. Wir hatten das Glück, in Engelberg zu sein, als am 4. April ein unerwartet großer Schneesturm kam. Am nächsten Tag fuhren wir mit der Standseilbahn nach Gerschnialp und liefen durch den wunderschönen verschneiten Wald zum Cafe Ritz. Das Cafe bietet auch einen Van-Service zu und von der Seilbahn, was für meine Mutter großartig war.Wir saßen auf der Terrasse, beobachteten die Skifahrer und sonnten uns in der Sonne. Dies war ein touristfreier Ort - nichts wie die Menschenmassen in Titlis. Alle auf der Terrasse waren Skifahrer (außer uns).Das Essen war sehr gut und der Apfelstrudel war sehr lecker! Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten.

Hatten ein Zimmer mit Dusche /WC. Zimmer sind renoviert. Das Zimmer ist klein und einfach aber es genügt da man ja nur zum schlafen da ist. Preis ist ok. Essen war sehr gut genug auf dem Teller! Bedienung sehr freundlich wir haben uns gut unterhalten zusammen wenn Zeit dazu war.

Draussen ist der Ausblick wunderschön. Die Sitzgelegenheiten billig und unbequem. Das Eis war nicht besonders. Die Bedienung ebenfalls Durchschnitt. Der Kaffee war gut und da blieb ich dann dabei. Ingesamt 3 Sterne. Ich war nicht besonders erfreut.

Uživajući na terasi restorana pod planinskim suncem jeli smo sa uživanjem švajcarske specijalitete koji su bili isto tako dobri kao i svih ranijih godina kada smo ga posećivali.

Wir waren gestern mit Kindern und Enkelkindern im Gasthaus Gerschnialp.Bei herrlichem Sonnenschein war die Terasse voll besetzt.Trozdem waren die Damen vom Service immer freundlich und gut gelaunt. Die Preise der bodenständigen und regionalen Gerichte sind,im Verhältnis zum durchschnittlichen Schweizer Preisniveau, moderat.Die Speisen sind von ordentlicher Qualität und Quantität.Große Getränkeauswahl,auch an offenen Weinen.Lohnt auf jeden Fall einen Besuch.

Wir sind eine Familie mit 2 Kindern und waren zum Skifahren auf der Gerschnialp. Schönes Skigebiet für Fortgeschrittene. Das Restaurant ist was man sich wünscht. Gemütlich, sehr gutes preiswertes Essen. Sehr empfehlenswert, kommen gerne wieder.

Ein wundervoller Ort, um dem Alltag zu entfliehen. Wir sind für zwei Tage über Nacht geblieben. Das Essen und der Service waren grandios. Vielen Dank an die Familie Häcki.

Freundliche Bedienung und angenehmer Ort. Das Essen sieht lecker aus, heiße Schocki und Kuchen sind genau richtig, um sich nach der Wanderung aufzuwärmen. Es gibt ein Personen-Taxi bzw. Shuttle ab zwei CHF pro Person zur nahegelegenen Titlis Bahn. Herrlicher Ausblick, gut zu erreichen. Gute und große Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken. Der Preis ist für Schweizer Verhältnissen angemessen, als Deutscher ist mal doch etwas irritiert das es teurer als in der Heimat.

Qualitativ sehr gut, Preise OK und nette herrichtung der Speise auf dem TEller. Die Bedienung war etwas "merkwürdig" und nicht sehr nett jedoch hat den Zweck erfüllt. Wir mussten sogar nach dem Tagesmenu fragen ansonsten wäre nichts gekommen. Im Grossen und Ganzen gut.
