The selection is large and very modest and the coups were completely convincing, both in terms of taste and appearance. Unfortunately I have to deduct one star for the unsatisfactory service. The waiter tried hard but was obviously still very inexperienced, but since we work in the catering industry ourselves, we also know how extremely difficult the personnel situation is at the moment and everyone is grateful for every helping hand, so I don't want to be too harsh on the judge. With a little more practice, the ice cream cards will almost certainly not be left on the table after ordering and you won't have to mention three times that you would like to pay (and then ultimately have to go into the dining room to settle the bill). The waiting time of 45 minutes for 2 coups (mind you when the terrace was only half full) was also a bit long. But we will definitely stop at the Wasserfall restaurant again the next time we are in Engelberg, because the ambience and quality are simply great.
