Fondue Chalet in Zug

Dinner reserved for company, it was cold in the chalet, it is advisable to dress very warmly if the temperature outside is around zero degrees. I don't know when the chalet will be heated. You weren't served any extra blankets or anything like that by the service. Service in general had no structure or organization and for us there was a lack of hospitality from the service. Fondue and chinoise were very tasty, side dishes like pickled pears were too high for the price.

Good fondue food and good atmosphere.

Cheese fondue was very good. Price of the wine, except for the “cheapest” for a chalet, is completely exorbitant! Cold feet due to the draft!

A perfect evening for two! We had made a reservation for a fondue chat and were pleasantly surprised when we got our own table. The ambience was lively, maybe a bit loud, but the atmosphere was just great. The fondue we shared was fine, accompanied by some delicious pickles, pearl onions and chips. The absolute highlight was the homemade ice cream from Rotkreuz for dessert – really impressive! The restaurant is ideal for larger groups in winter, it is warm and the atmosphere is great. Bonus points for the ice skating rink right next door. We'll definitely be back!

The truffle fondue was delicious! Service very nice & friendly. Nice place to go with children also. It’s just a pity it opens only from November to January..

We really liked it, the EVZ fondue was very tasty. We thought it was great that gluten-free bread was organized for us so that our son could also enjoy it. For those who get cold quickly: Dress warmly, as the heating is rather sparse (but sufficient for a chalet like this).

It was a lovely evening for two. Everything was fine, the price was at the upper limit.

Best fondue in town! We have been going to the Fondue Chalet Zug at least once every year for the last 4 years. Service very friendly and attentive. Meat quality is very good and portions are perfectly calculated, even for larger groups. The sauces and seasoned fries are incredibly delicious. The cheese fondue is also highly recommended. Nice, homely atmosphere in the chalet and comfortably furnished. I was very happy that the chalet was built again this year (despite Corona) and that we were able to enjoy a great evening in the chalet again.

This is a log cabin that is only set up during the winter time. There are different types of fondue. Be sure to reserve.

*****Not recommended***** -unprofessional service. - Service puts the bill on the table and says look for yourself, doesn't take anything off when paying, In the end the remaining amount wasn't correct and we had to pay it anyway. - you can tell that they don't care whether the guest is satisfied. -Pre-booking very complicated and not customer oriented. - The boss doesn't stand by if the guest is dissatisfied and even sends the waiter's daughter home. - Very small portions and collect supplement egg. - Price/performance is by far NOT right! I will never leave again...

best fondue, relaxed atmosphere

Ok Fondue, but there’s better out there.. did not like the inside too much either, very basic although a nice atmosphere.

We had a great Sunday with delicious fondue. A big thank you to the competent employees, they fulfilled all of our wishes. The homemade apple punch (with a little vodka) is highly recommended. Thank you very much and see you another time

We had a wonderful evening this Saturday. I just find the atmosphere super cozy. We thought the mushroom fondue was really tasty! Thanks also to Tanja who did a great job. We will be back .-))

49.50 for fondue with garnished winter salad and vermicelle at the end. Upper price range, definitely. But that can be justified by good service and ambience... I thought. We were there with a group and the 'garnished winter salad' consisted of a salad bowl with green leaves and a few nuts in it (that was probably the garnish) being placed on the table. Plus two salad dressings in bottles (they were good) - but for a 50.00 meal I want to be asked which sauce I choose. And everyone should receive a ready-made starter separately, served separately. Fondue had too much cherry in it for my taste - but it's just a matter of taste. The menu said bread and potatoes. Again, no one asks who wants what. Bread is simply put on the table. Potatoes were only available upon request! The vermicelle was the highlight. A portion was even personally handed to everyone! When the waitress asked if everything was good (at the end of course...) and the price/performance was mentioned; ''You have pre-ordered this menu, if you make a fondue at home it also costs 30 per person.'' Wherever the shopping goes? I will never leave again... cheeky rip off.

NOT RECOMMENDED!!! We were in a small group (14 people) at the Fondue Chalet on a Friday evening. Although we had specifically noted when making the reservation that we wanted to sit at one table, we were seated at two tables in a row. That killed our mood right from the start. So definitely not a place for a cozy Christmas party!!!
