Placed on rooftop grabbed my attention as walking on street the vibe was vosible😍 so followed up yhe floors through an alluring shopping center which colorful decora was a photoshoot scene 💖then top floor is restaurent. Self service. No particular meat menu it was different veggie stews you could take in the plate and expensive purchased per Gr. 💸 and very nice terrace on both sides with good ambient . I liked it overally but not food particularly

This is one of my go-to places for a vegan/vegetarian meal. No reservations required, open all day, food is yummy, different dishes to choose from and right in the center of town. I particularly love sitting outside on the deck part.

A lively spot up above Bahnhofstrasse with an extensive plant-based buffet. Good for food or just to enjoy a coffee or drinks. They have both indoor seating as well as two outdoor terraces catering to both non-smokers and smokers. It was quite full on Sunday at lunch time, but there were still enough free tables and we didn’t have any wait. The staff are friendly, efficient and make you feel welcome.

Two Americans visiting Zurich for one evening on way back from Zermatt, were wandering around the city and happened to stumble upon this restaurant following a positive Google review. You enter the restaurant via an elevator to the third floor. It’s a buffet style where you pay at the end based on weight. Atmosphere is lovely - good looking young people dressed expensively and lounge music. The good: many different dishes, excellent taste, paying was simple, good vibes. The bad: cost - for one and a half plates worth of food, one Coke Zero, one mojito … 80 CHF, which is close to $90USD. Looking at my bill now, my larger plate with 0.713 kg of food cost 36CHF. Sheesh. Coke Zero was 6CHF, mojito was 17CHF. While I really like this place, the price is too high which made me rate this as 4 rather than 5 stars. That being said, if the price doesn’t scare you away, I think it is a great place to eat.

Over 30 francs for a portion of vegetarian food and you aren't even served at the table. Personally, I think it's exaggerated and in my opinion people have somehow lost touch with money these days.

A beautiful restaurant facing the famous Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich. A rooftop location with cool vibes, delicious food and both, indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is friendly, however you have to serve yourself to get the food you wanna eat. The drinks are at the counter, served by the staff. The prices are more likely on a higher scale but yet okay, if you want to enjoy healthier food.

Great variety of dishes, delicious and also many healthy. It is not 100% vegan but everything is well signposted, vegetarians are two things. It is a buffet where you pay per plate.

Self-service at the vegetarian buffet. It has everything a vegetarian heart desires - a large and inviting selection. Billing is based on weight. My compilation cost CHF 47.-, my partner's cost 34.-. It's not cheap, Zurich and also vegi prices... But it was very nice, we enjoyed it very much. The ambience inside is influenced by glass and metal (it's also in a glass house), but outside on the terrace it is a lot more cozy and airy in summer.

When I visited for the first time, I didn’t know how to order. The waiter saw that I was confused and handed me the menu. The menu was very easy to understand and I understood it immediately. I helped myself to the small plates and ordered a Swiss apple soda The meals are very delicious and smooth. There are no dishes that are difficult to chew, and there are no dishes that are too spicy or too salty. And after the weighing, you can get nuts and bread again, and you can also get free water. The dining area is also divided into three areas, indoor, outdoor (smoking), and outdoor (non-smoking). The planning is very good. This is the second time I invited friends to have afternoon tea together and I was very satisfied. At this price and opening hours, it is better than many Swiss restaurants I know. Thank you very much for the wonderful dining experience provided by everyone, we will want to visit again and recommend more people to visit

The food is tasty and fresh. However, this is not all you can eat and is by weight, costed me 30 francs for one plate couple years ago. Way too teur!

It's a real shame that there aren't more restaurants like this. I don't just mean the good food and the fact that you can take as much of anything as you want and then be charged according to weight. I also mean the beautiful furnishings and atmosphere, and of course the roof terrace. The thing that bothers me is the prices and partly the cast. These are two problems that would benefit if there were more restaurants like this. Sure, quality has its price and the rent is certainly not cheap either. The margins on iced teas, for example, are definitely too high and not justified. Maybe for the customers who just come for a drink, but not for those who have already spent 30 francs on an under-full plate.

Well, rather unprofessional self-service, totally overpriced, far too alternative and not comfortable for me. It's not my thing and has therefore been removed from my list until further notice.

I didn't like sticky at the same time dry steamed rice. It's not first time. The same problem with Hiltl Sihlpost. Why this is so complicated to boil normal rice.

As all of the Hiltl restaurants, this one too is not disappointing. The food (vegetarian only) is generally great, and there is a wide selection of drinks. This Hiltl, moreover, has a specially cosy atmosphere as it is located in a small space near the rooftop. It is possible to sit outside on a terrace, but I haven't tried it as it was quite cold.

A historic address for vegetarians that you must try. However, I can't say that I like the formula. In a single dish you mix everything together making a big mess of indistinguishable flavors and you pay by weight. However, the guys are helpful and the place is very nice.

Very delicious and high quality food. Unfortunately very expensive. The plate in the picture cost 30 francs. Still very, very tasty. If you want to treat yourself once, I can recommend it, but you can hardly afford it a second time.

A vast selection of delicious food options to chose from. The ambience is warm and welcoming and the option to seat either on the outdoor terrase or the glass enclosed one is a plus. Overall a decent location to catchup with colleagues as minutes walk from the train station. For me, a 2* rating as the value for money is non-existent. Approx. 45 CHF for lunch and still let the restaurant wanting. Simply way too very expensive for a vegi plate.

I just love it! Super varied food. Mega delicious tofu. Beautiful ambience and relatively young audience. Price performance is also really good. You can get as much water as you want for free. Staff friendly and toilets clean.

Dachterrasse HILTL:Didn’t meet the Expectations set by Family and Friends I had high hopes for Dachterrasse HILTL, a vegetarian restaurant in Zurich that was recommended to me by my family and friends. They told me that it was the best place to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine in the city. However, I was very dissatisfied with my visit and I felt that the restaurant did not live up to its reputation. The first thing that bothered me was the service. The staff was not very attentive. They did not explain the menu or the concept of the restaurant, and they did not check on us during our meal. The second thing that disappointed me was the food. The restaurant claims to offer authentic Indian cuisine, but I found it to be far from the real thing. The dishes lacked the flavor and spice that I expected from Indian food. They were bland and overcooked. The only good thing was that they had a lot of variety and you could choose anything to eat as everything was sold by weight. They also offered free bread, papad, and water. But this did not make up for the poor taste of the food. The third thing that annoyed me was the price. The restaurant was very expensive for the quality and quantity of food they provided. We paid almost 40 CHF per person for a mediocre meal that left me unsatisfied and unhappy. I felt that we wasted our money and our time at this place. I would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for authentic Indian food in Zurich. It is overhyped and not worth the money. There are much better options in the city for vegetarian food that are cheaper and tastier. Dachterrasse HILTL is a disappointing experience that I would not like to repeat.

Wow, this is such a perfect place it's sad they're not a chain with a branch in every city. It's a vegetarian buffet concept where you pay by weight for what you've picked. Everything I tried was delicious and there was an impressive variety of culinary styles : Indian, Mediterranean, Swiss... There's no wait time. Seating is both indoor and outdoor, mostly for 2-4 people. There are lots of juices and teas on the drinks menu, I think alcoholic drinks too but we were there at lunch

Simply amazing. There are tens of dishes, at least half of them vegan, which taste great. I recommend the thai red curry, but be sure to taste as much as you can! I paid 23.35 for the meal in the picture.

A vegetarian buffet restaurant that also satisfies the palates of non-vegetarians. The environment is very pleasant and easily accessible by lift. Located a stone's throw from the station so practical if you are on the move. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

A terrace, obviously there is also room inside, where you feel very comfortable... a simple, clean and tidy environment. For a vegetarian like me it's perfect. I was able to choose everything from the buffet, lots of vegan choices too, including desserts. All really good. The staff very kind and helpful. You can eat on site, but also take away with a reduction on the price. Obviously the prices are those of Zurich, but so is the quality.

A charming place on the third floor. They have a covered and open terrace where you can smoke. The place is very modern and decorated. The food is a buffet but not an all-you-can-eat buffet. You grab food you want and then pay by weight. They have a wide variety of food and desserts. Various drinks and cocktails. The service is very friendly and they help at all times.

Big plus: self-service. Cons: It's not meant to linger. The tables are too close together and the noise level is extremely high.

We are - as we have been for many decades - very satisfied with the beautiful and healthy selection at the buffets❣ Every time there is something new to taste - this time it was the carrot salmon and the dried meat - and the aromatic delights always encourage you to try out a recipe like this at home. We always see how much effort goes into the elaborate dishes. We had to cut back on the coffee today; neither we nor the neighbors liked it. Either it was a day fail or the type of coffee was changed.(?) The tray was taken from the table with the last fork, which seemed "premature" to us... We'll try again next time. My second time at a Hiltl during my 4-day stay in Zurich. Great food and this branch is very cozy, it’s on the 3rd floor of the building and is a nice place to hang out at night.

Trendy rooftop bar/self service restaurant very close to the hauptbahnhof. It's an offshoot of the nearby Haus Hiltl (oldest vegetarian restaurant in the world). As such, all food is vegan/vegetarian and the selection is a fair bit thinner than at the main hub. That being said you'll probably find something tasty you like. Where this place truly shines is the great decor and vibe which on a sunny day is perfect for relaxing and having a nice meal or drink outdoors. Turns into a bar after 5pm and only adults are allowed thereafter.

We celebrated a birthday on the roof terrace at the weekend. The ambience, food and drinks were great. The highlight was the service, the shift manager: Henrique impressed us with sensational service. He was very attentive, always on hand and we would be happy to celebrate a party like this on the roof terrace again. Thank you Henrique and the DTR team for this great evening!

Disappointing experience sadly. It's not value for money: staff is grumpy (Roman, Rom, not sure about the name, doesn't smile even by mistake and can't assist customers if there's any issue with the food, and frankly, quite rude as well). The Terrasse is nice, but the atmosphere and the grumpy service isn't worth the money, especially on a Sunday morning.. I lost my appetite. Hiltl you should do much better, reality is not the same as you market yourself

Ambiance is great. Western food was really good. But was worst Indian food I tried in Switzerland. Seems like they have not idea about Indian food , there is Mango lassi with Garam masala on menu, who put spices in a dessert. I had tried Allo chat and Tandoori cauliflower , it was awful, had nothing to do with Chat or Tandoor. My humble request to Cook is please don’t cook if you don’t know or go to YouTube there are enough Videos about how to cook Indian food.

Seriously delicious and amazing vegetarian buffet. So much variety in the food! Really recommend this place! Fairly average Swiss restaurant prices. Definitely treat yourself to food here, great for a solo meal, a date or a friend outing. The cocktails are also delicious! And the service from the staff is also lovely! Enjoyed my visit 100%

This restaurant offers vegan, all-you-can-eat buffet dining and the price depends on the weight of your plate. The choice is vast and the food is quite good, but, not being vegan, I didn't find any dishes to my liking. The welcome is friendly and the place is very clean, very bright and peaceful.
