Hüsi Bierhaus in Interlaken

After a short wait, my group of three was seated at a nice table. We ordered two of their brews—their house amber ale (excellent) and a strawberry-mint cider (my wife didn’t care for it but that may just be her taste preferences). Two of our party each ordered the Mac and cheese, which as others on here have said, is life-changing. Genuinely one of the best things I’ve had. It is probably big enough (or at least heavy enough) to share if you aren’t too hungry. I had the pork schnitzel which was also very good. Our server and the hostess were both very friendly. The atmosphere is loud but with a fun energy. If you enjoy the “sports bar” feel, you’ll love Hüsi!

Restaurant in Schweinhaksen (visited on 24.03.2024) I went to this place because I heard from Google reviews that the Haksen was delicious. [Schweinshaxe CHF41.9] Haksen is really delicious. Usually, Haksen is so big that it's hard to eat it all if it's too greasy or salty, but the seasoning here was very good. (Foreigners may find it bland) First of all, the skin is very crispy. The best bite is the crispy shell that retains its warmth when first served. Except for some overcooked parts, the meat was soft and I was able to enjoy it until the end. A sauce that is believed to be wine-based is sprinkled on top of the Haksen. The seasoning of this sauce is just right and goes very well with the Haksen. It comes with what appears to be pickled cabbage as a garnish on the side, which is also good as it cuts down on the greasiness. The sauce is so delicious that there comes a point when it becomes insufficient. At this point, you can enjoy a different taste by dipping it in the commercially available barbecue sauce on the table. Mashed potatoes are also served as a garnish, but if you find it too salty, it is okay to eat it with potatoes. If you decide to visit this store, I recommend visiting on a day when Haksen is available. P.S. They said that Haxen is only available on weekends, but since the date I wanted to visit was a weekend, they didn't ask me specifically. When I made a reservation, I emailed them and told them that I was planning to order Schweinhaxen and goulash, but they said Schweinhaxen could not be booked. [Braumeister Gulasch CHF21.9] The goulash was below my personal expectations. First of all, I was looking forward to the goulash I ate in Hungary. The goulash I ate in Hungary was a beef stew-style soup with its own broth, so I ordered it with high expectations, but the goulash here was actually a thick, sauce-based goulash in the soup style we know. Of course, I enjoyed it because the beef content and seasoning were good, but I was disappointed that it was not the style of cooking I wanted. If you want goulash in soup form, you can order it. My personal recommendation is that Haksen has a lot of meat for two people to eat, so it would be better to order a salad-like menu rather than a meat-based menu such as goulash. [IPA HOP VILLAIN CHF8.2] There were many reviews on Google that said it was a great beer restaurant and the beer of life, but personally, it was just a delicious beer and nothing special. I ordered another small lager, and it was just like a draft beer from a good Korean beer bar. --- As the review said, the employees were friendly and energetic. This was the first and last Interlaken restaurant I visited on my last day in Interlaken, and it was a choice I would not regret.

We ate dinner here two nights during our four day stay in Interlaken and it was THE BEST!! The food is excellent, the service is great, and the atmosphere is so fun and friendly! We’ve been back in America for a month and have been wishing there was a Hüsi Bierhaus here. Will have to make a trip back to Interlaken some day just to have their food a third time!

Nice friendly waiters. Food was a pretty good range of pub style food. I had the ribs and it was a nice big serving that filled me up. Beer range is good with Barrel Brewing a craft brewery on tap and available in cans as well. TV had the football on with good music playing.

It looks more like a place for drinks than food since it’s a pub, but the food was really good! I got the älplermagronen which is like Mac and cheese and it was delicious and super filling! The food is expensive but it seems like all the food in Switzerland is, but I think it was worth it. Staff was super friendly and checked in with me if I liked my meal which hasn’t happened to me in Europe. Definitely recommend to try some traditional Swiss meals!

We had the ribs. It was a nice spot to eat in. On the other side of the restaurant there is a dessert place that sells strawberries with chocolate

The cheese pork chops and German-style pig's trotters are large and delicious, but the taste of the pig's trotters is not easy to penetrate because the pig's trotters are large. The dining atmosphere is not bad.

Haksen and onion rings are absolutely delicious. Best eaten with beer.. The staff are all very friendly, the atmosphere is nice, and the prices seem reasonable for Switzerland!

Veggie Patty changed! They changed the Veggie Patty from a delicious (probably soy based) meat alternative patty to two veggie patties with corn, peas etc. It's 2024, no one wants to eat a literally veggie burger made of peas corn and carrots. Online you can see both versions of the patties under the vegetarian burger tab.

What an amazing place! Great Gastropub food choices, cozy hometown bar vibes and great service. As Americans visiting we felt so welcome and taken care of. You have to get the onion rings and the chicken Schnitzel was out of this world!

Came here for a late night meal and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food at a relatively reasonable price. Had the goulash, bbq ribs and schnitzel. The ribs stood out as they were really tender and flavourful! The staff were really friendly and patient, even though it was near closing hours.

I visited Switzerland twice in 5 days. I arrived at Schweinhaxen after 7 o'clock and it was sold out. ㅠㅠ It was sold out, so I had schnitzel and beer... Lager beer was the best beer of my life... Be sure to eat it. The next day, I ate Schweinhaxen, but since I only ordered Haxen, the share cost was about 5.5(?) euros extra. please refer to this. There were a lot of hakseon for 2 people, so we were stuffed🍽️ Be sure to try it~~ It's cheaper than Swiss prices!

I went on a weekday evening and there were a fair amount of locals and foreigners. There was a Korean at one table. The staff is very friendly and speaks good English. The onion rings were the best I've ever had, and the curry wurst, sausage, and potatoes were all delicious. Today's soup is Swiss style, and we got the chicken clear soup and it was delicious! The beer is especially delicious. As I was taking a selfie, an employee passed by and took a picture with me, and the female owner took a picture with the child and joked around. It was a very pleasant time. I highly recommend anyone going to Interlaken to go there! (We were full, so we didn't order Haksen haha.) Onion rings were 10, currywurst was 21, soup was 8, beer was about 5~7, and drinks were 3~6. I think the price range is similar to Seoul.

It was my birthday and we were visiting Switzerland, and just happened to dine here and we were very pleased. We were greeted immediately, it was very busy but the hostess tried to seat us right away. We had a baby carriage with us, and there weren't many places to put it, and she was so accommodating. Within minutes, we sat down and got our delicious food! I loved my veggie burger, I have never had a veggie burger like this. We ordered virgin mojito and virgin sex on the beach drinks, and they were so good!! My son had fish and fries, and my husband had a buffalo burger, which he enjoyed too. For dessert, we had three strawberries with chocolate, which was delicious! They give it to you in a cup so it's easy to take with you too. Thank you, Husi Bierhaus, for a great birthday dinner!

We had the ribs and they were excellent. That’s from a Texan who knows her bbq. The fries were crispy and tasty. They made a side salad that was amazing. Loved this place. Reasonably priced too.

Food is a matter of taste. For me - a very interesting offer of local dishes and beers. A bit noisy in the place when all the tables are full, but it creates a unique atmosphere. You can order here meat dishes, traditional and vegetarian (and vege). Very decent prices. Service - patient, smiling, friendly. Importantly - also in Polish! 😄

Great little find in Interlaken. Caught with an old mate for a beer or 3 and they were all great, local from Barrel Brewing. Didn't eat, but the pork knuckle looked like the goods.

First, I had onion rings and two glasses of local beer, then came back in the evening and had ribs and two glasses of cola. The atmosphere was friendly and the employees were very friendly.

Found this place whilst walking around and looking for a place to watch RWC. Great atmosphere, good food (love their nachos and heard that the food was so good that some items were sold old!), wide variety of drinks, plus and especially wonderful service. Shepy was so friendly and accommodating. Made us feel at home. Came back the next day again (for drinks), just becoz we love how friendly and comfortable the place made us feel.

The food is great. The owner, Sheppy, was fantastic. He Made sure we were accommodated during a busy time of day. Ask for the macaroni and the wings. And ask him for the Zesty Blonde beer. I Would definitely go back to this place. Side note: turn around and head over to Funky Chocolate for desert.

Among all the Indian and Lebanese restaurants, finally found a truly authentic place in Interlaken with typical dishes. Hams, sausage, hamburger,... Pleasant, tasty food and the prices are not too bad. Tastiest hamburger ever eaten! Many beers available. The long queues speak for themselves. If you want to be sure of a place, it is best to make a reservation.

My husband and I ate here during our stay in Interlaken and it was great! A little expensive in AUD $ but it is what it is.

If you feel like a honking big pork knuckle and happen to be in Interlaken, make your way to the bierhaus for an early dinner. These things are limited each day, but worth the effort if you can get one (preferably to share). There's also a great beer selection here on tap, a lot more craft beer then you're standard European lagers. Full disclosure, came here day 1 in Interlaken for a light lunch and ordered a schnitzel. I was immediately struck with food envy when the knuckle arrived at another table and had to come back. The schnitzel was fine, but the pork knuckle was better.

Leah gave us fast, friendly service with a great personality to boot!!! The food was almost as phenomenal as the service!!! I had the roast beef and it came out promptly, still hot!!! I wanted the traditional pork knuckle but I was informed it was sold out. So, heads up we were there at 6:30pm and the owner said it sells out every night!!!!! So if you want it, get there early! The roast beef I had was a great alternative though. Our bill was $72.00 for 2 beers 🍻 and a drink with 2 entrees. Highly recommend this place if you are use to fast, friendly service!!!!! You will not be disappointed!!!! Cheers!

Good selection of drinks and a chill atmosphere; wish you had beer flighs so we could have tried some of the other beers you had on tap. We also ordered the nachos to snack on and they were super tasty. 100% would visit again! PS. The waiters forgot about us several times, to the point the owner/manager saw us and came to take our order. Nothing terrible since you don't go for beers when you're in a hurry, but it's the reason I deducted a star from the service rating.

Lucky enough to arrive for dinner before the queue. Had a chicken schnitzel and it was good. Atmosphere was nice and there’s outside seatings too. Quite a few selection on the food and drinks menu. Would recommend.

If you want to drink beer in Interlaken, come here. I was full so I ordered nachos to have a quick beer. This is the nacho master. It's a delicious nacho with a lot of cheese, warm and not hard. The beer is thick and delicious too. The staff is also friendly When I took my order next to me, they smiled kindly and waited for me even though it took a long time to choose.
