Velo Cafe in Interlaken

Really nice and cosy vibes inside. Came here right when it opened 😝 and it filled up pretty fast. We got grilled halloumi breakfast sandwich, breakfast burrito, hot chocolate, and flat white. The sandwich was soo good!! The sesame buns gave a slight crunch and were generously slathered with spicy mayo which gave the sandwich a nice kick. The most interesting was the halloumi cheese. It was juicy, somewhat chewy, and salty. I really thought I was eating chicken for a moment there 🤯 Really nice mouthfeel – I read online that its texture can be described as squeaky, which is so cute and I agree with it 🐭 Add in fresh lettuce, tomato, plus smash fried egg, and the sandwich packed a delish punch 😋 The breakfast burrito was also good. Each bite felt very organic 🤣 Wholesome combi of eggs, spinach, avocado and cheese. Though the overall flavour profile was relatively simple compared to the sandwich, it was alright with the salsa, which was sour (and somewhat spicy after a while). The servers were nice enough to give us an extra dip 😊 Hot chocolate was sweet and chocolately, tho it was really just lukewarm. Flat white was real strong given the double shot, but also milky. Have no regrets coming here 🫶 Maybe one day I can come back to try their blueberry pancake stack 🥞🫐

Little cafe in the middle of Interlaken. Great for cake and coffee abd some warm sandwiches.

Marina is extremely impressive. On a super busy day, she was highly accommodating and it was incredible to see her and the rest of the service staff do their thing. Overall awesome experience!

Awesome vegetarian/vegan cafe! Friendly staff & prompt table service. Had the blueberry pancakes they were delicious, & white hot choc & milk hot choc. Only issue was the hot drinks were luke warm so we skulled them and they didn't last long! Cool atmosphere, comfy and relaxed dining.

They have a nice selection of breakfast and lunch food with vegan and vegetarian options! I got the tomato mozzarella balsamic and pesto sandwich which was very good and huge! It was 12.5 CHF is really good for what you get. Staff was friendly and food came out fast. Their coffee and baked goods looked good too. You can either sit down or take away

This was a great place to grab some breakfast while staying in Interlaken. It gets busy quick, so I recommend getting there early if you are on a schedule. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. I had the Grilled Halloumi Sandwich and my guest had the pancakes. We were both very satisfied with our orders and I would definitely go again. Another bonus, they are open Sunday, so we were able to grab coffees before we headed back to Zurich.

Perfect place to chill and enjoy coffee. Quite comfy and service was above and beyond. It is a classic italian style dark roast just fyi.

Absolutely loved it here! We were three people and our Bernese Mountain dog. They had a space for us where we could see everything and the dog had some peace! Cappuccino was heavenly🥰but the best part was the food. We had the tomato mozzarella melt and the soup of the day, oh my god. The pesto on the melt was so good I asked for the recipe😅 very kind service and great atmosphere!! Will be coming back if I’m in the area🤍

I was begged by the waitress to change my seat because other guests wanted the seat too. But there were enough other free seats for the new guests. That was very rude. I then left the cafe and will never go back.

Good and freshly prepared food, which sometimes takes a little longer. That's probably why the selection of dishes is manageable. There is definitely more choice when it comes to drinks. The decor is nice though. But when the doors aren't open, a thick fog comes out of the kitchen and fills the entire room. As if there was no functioning ventilation in the kitchen. The clothes stink accordingly. The toilet is very small and urgently needs a basic cleaning (in addition to a regular check, especially when there are many guests).

A very nicely decorated cafe with a delicious menu! The staff are very nice and there is a wall with lots of books to linger on. My partner ordered the pancakes, which were very tasty and also very warm, which was super yummy. When it comes to food, I only give it 4 stars because my avocado toast was a bit basic, which can also taste very good, but I was missing that little something ☺️ Nevertheless, we would love to come back!

Very cool bike themed coffee shop. Definitely try the avocado toast (comes with two poached eggs and hollandaise sauce). And of course the coffee was amazing.

Interlaken is a great place to drink coffee. The coffee tastes very smooth and delicate, not too bitter. But there are a lot of tourists here, so it's hard to enjoy coffee time quietly. It always feels very noisy.

The Velo Cafe in Interlaken is the best without any doubt. It is super cozy, with a very nice staff and a very interesting menu. It has become my go-to place and is perfect for spending time during the day.

While bikepacking trough Switzerland, my friend and I were in dare need for the espresso shot to keep us moving along the route. We saw the place and so we stopped by completely uninformed and innocent of the fact that it is a Velo café! What a surprise! The espresso was amazing, strong and tasty - just like it's supposed to be. As if a dance of essential chemical substances in it revived all our senses as we chased the next 100+ kilometers in the day. The place is a paradise for bicycle lovers, the atmosphere is lovely, even though most of the customers don't seem like bicycle rides, it felt great knowing that they enjoy spending the time there, as it got crowded with people in a very short period of time. I haven't tried the food but everything looked like a piece of art on the plate. The staff acted naturally, their approach to the customers was super kind even when it got crowded. I suppose they needed an extra pair of hands, but oh well, you can never have it ideally. A must visit, ubercharming!

This lovely coffee shop was recommended by some YouTubers I watched in preparation for our trip (Alpins in the Alps). It was very cute with the bike theme and the girls that ran the shop were so nice. We went for coffee a couple times and enjoyed the coffee and the atmosphere. We didn't try any food but they have a lot of vegan/vegetarian options. My husband had coffee and I tried the chai latte and the matcha oat latte, which were all good!

A specialty coffee in Interlaken, modern and with a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is very attentive and friendly, they make you feel welcome. We had breakfast there and what we ordered was very delicious. A necessary stop after or before a lot of walking.

The coffee is very good and the service is excellent, but they get drunk at five in the evening. A vegetarian restaurant, and its prices are reasonable compared to those written in Arabic, with no respect for them. I advise you to drink coffee.

One of the best coffee places in town, amazing vegan and vegetarian options but most importantly the staff is the NICEST, if you are around it’s a MUST!!!

I’m going there for some time now, only thing I can say that staff there it’s on high level of friendly service and communication. I would always recommend for best breakfast in town!

Nice popular place to start your day near Zürich HB. Coffee was good, not very good like its neighboring coffee shops. Baked goods like croissants and pastries were better. The ambience of the shop was the show stealer.

Superb place to have breakfast/brunch/lunch. All dishes we tried were superb !! One of the restaurant which opens early in Interlaken and is always full. Must try if you are in Interlaken. They have vegetarian and vegan servings.

This place was truly phenomenal! We got two breakfast wraps which were awesome and two vanilla lattes. Not even usually a fan of hot lattes but because it was extremely chilly outside, we tried them. The best lattes I’ve had in a while! It has been very hard to find a good latte while visiting Switzerland so we were relieved to stumble across Velo! Looking forward to going back in the morning ! Bonus: they offer flavors for the coffee drinks !

After three weeks in Italy and Switzerland I was so happy to find this place. The best coffee, hands down. Was hard to find somewhere open for breakfast at 9.30am today/Sunday. I’m so happy that Google directed me here.

Was there a couple of days ago in the morning. It was super crazy busy but the blonde waitress was still very very friendly and helpful, even brought me a blanked since she noticed I was cold. Had a brownie and some cappuccinos, both super delicious! 10 out of 10 recommended☺️

We stopped here on a tour and sadly didn't get a chance to try the food. Ensure you get a receipt and double check your order. After waiting for 30 mins (our time was very limited 1 hr only but we really wanted to try it), it turned out they took the wrong order and did not apologies instead kept insisting that we are the ones who made the mistake. We did get a refund in the end but the experience was not pleasant.

We came here for a look after seeing it on YouTube. What a lovely place in Interlarken. The place has a great vibe and a good amount of seating options. The only down side is there are no savouries in the display cabinet which is a real shame since I don’t like sweets in the morning with my coffee. However that is a personal choice of mine.
