Die Führung durch die Brauerei ist sehr zu empfehlen. Das Personal ist kompetent was Bier angeht und auch sehr freundlich!

My wife and I came here while spending a day in Interlaken during a tour of Europe. It was a great place to get a meal. The staff helped us select drinks, telling us about the style, origins, and flavor of each beer. I will come back whenever I'm in Interlaken.

Köstliche Burger, phantastisches Bier (wir hatten das hausgemachte Weizen) und eine relaxte Atmosphäre. Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und speditiv. Dieses Brew Café würde ich am liebsten mit heim nehmen, so gut ist es!

¡La cafetería de barril es un gran lugar para los amantes de la cerveza! Creo que la cocina se comparte con H si, que también es una cervecería. Pedimos siedfleisch con queso de cabra y tomates secos (una especie de aperitivo) y una hamburguesa de ternera. ¡Ambos platos fueron geniales! Tenga en cuenta que el siedfleisch se sirve frío. La cerveza negra de chocolate del grifo era muy sabrosa y fácil de beber. Hay docenas de cervezas en todo el mundo, así que seguro que encontrarás algo para tu gusto. Los chicos del café son súper amables y eficientes, especialmente si crees que solo hay dos de ellos sirviendo a los invitados. Si te gusta el whisky, ¡la cafetería es la elección perfecta! No sé si puede pedir todas sus bebidas por vaso pero tienen una amplia variedad :)

Bei meinem ersten (aber vermutlich auch letzten) Besuch, am Samstag dem 12.09.20 war ich doch sehr überrascht. Um ca. 22:00 Uhr trafen wir (10 Personen) im Barrel Brew Café ein. Als erstes viel auf, dass das Personal entweder überfordert ist oder kein Interesse an einem hohen Umsatz hat. Bis die Bestellung aufgenommen wurde vergingen gute 20 Minuten (obwohl es definitiv nicht Fullhouse war). Als wird unsere Getränke endlich erhielten und bezahlen wollten, kam das zweite Ärgernis. Zuerst wurde verlangt, dass wir als Gruppe bezahlen, als wir dies nicht wollten, erwiderte das Servicepersonal, dass entweder alle Anwesenden in Bar oder Alle mit der Karte bezahlen müssen. Auch dies liessen wir selbstverständlich nicht gelten sodass jeder wie gewünscht bezahlen konnte. Dies ist nach meinem Verständnis kein guter Service, und sollte an einem Ort, mit solch touristischer Erfahrung nicht angeboten werden. Schade, für die vergebene Chance.

Leuk restaurant, leuke sfeer. Ze brouwen zelf bier, en dat kunnen ze goed! Prijzen vallen mee, maar je krijgt ook geen sterrenmaaltijd. Prima voor een brewpub/café. Leuk personeel, die veel over de bieren kunnen vertellen. Vanwege het grote bieraanbod 5*.

Lo pasamos de maravilla en Barrel Brew Caf. No solo la comida, las cervezas artesanales y el whisky eran buenos, ¡también el servicio de nuestro camarero, Gabriel, fue excelente! Nos dio unas buenas recomendaciones de cerveza. El 100% lo recomendaría.

Arriviamo la sera per una birra, bel locale, bella gente e bella musica. La carta delle birre (e dei superalcolici) è molto ampia, mancano le grappe, strano. C'è da dire comunque che le birre svizzere sono tutte eccellenti, in particolar modo quelle della zona di Interlaken, alla spina hanno lo stesso prezzo che da noi in Italia. Menzione d'onore per la cucina (bravissimi) formaggio di capra grigliato con miele e fichi e currywurst perfetti, tutto ottimo, tutto abbondante, peccato solo che si trattasse della nostra ultima sera a Interlaken.

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Die Bierauswahl war riesig und die Kellner waren aufmerksam und gut im Beraten. Absolut zufrieden, Ich würde jederzeit wieder gehen.

Wir waren dort Samstag abends ohne Reservierung zu zweit und wurden super freundlich empfangen und bedient. Die Stimmung ist entspannt, die Musik passt in das Ambiente und die Biere waren lecker; kann das Lokal nur empfehlen.

Wir waren nach einer Wanderung zum Abendessen da. Die Bierkarte ist unglaublich reichhaltig. Der Service ist absolut fachkompetent, freundlich und auch in hektischen Zeiten sehr geduldig (wenn Frau sich ob der velen Bierauswahl nicht entscheiden kann :-)) Wir hatten zwei Mal Burger welche sehr, sehr lecker und reichhaltig waren. Wir werden auf alle Fälle wieder gehen.

Mediocre burger, very nice beer and service.

Cooles Lokal, nette Leute...aber das Bier on Tap war nicht gut. Hoppy Joe Amber war sauer(untypisch) und das Barrel Weizen hatte ein starkes Fremdaroma! Werde trotzdem wieder kommen und andere Sorten testen....

My wife and I were walking around and my wife spotted this cafe and we decide to have dinner. The staffs were very friendly. Beer selections was great. (But I cannot choose so the staffs choose for me LOL.)Definitely come again. 5 stars ! Cheers

Mein Freund und ich haben versucht, an unserem ersten Abend in der Schweiz in dieses Restaurant zu gehen, aber es war sehr voll und wir hätten über eine Stunde gewartet, bis wir abgereist sind. Am nächsten Tag gingen wir etwas früher und es war weniger überfüllt. Ich bestellte das Hühnchenschnitzel mit Soße und den nordischen Beerenmost. Alles war großartig. Das Essen kam schnell und war heiß und lecker. Ich bin kein bisschen Salat Person, aber mein Essen kam mit einem und es war auch sehr gut. Sie waren auch in der Lage, die Rechnung am Tisch zu teilen, was nett war, so dass mein Freund und ich nicht mit Venmo oder Bargeld zu tun hatten, um unsere einzelnen Teile des Essens zu bezahlen.

Habe hier angehalten, nachdem ich 10 Minuten lang ignoriert worden war. Die Leute hier waren super freundlich und boten uns sofort einen Tisch, ein Bier und ein Menü an. Das Essen war von dem Ort auf der anderen Straßenseite und die Bestellung war falsch, als es ankam. Obwohl es nicht ihr Fehler war, haben sie es auf sich genommen, den Fehler zu korrigieren - fantastischer Service! Gemütliche Atmosphäre und jede Menge Bier zur Auswahl. Absolut empfehlenswert für ein paar Pints hier zu stoppen!

Os nachos são muito bons! De bebida bebemos uma degustação de cerveja e as meninas de cidra. O lugar é muito agradável e com muita variedade de bebidas! Da Soft drinks, cervejas, gins e whisky...

The cherry gose had a ton of diacetyl -- a sign of under-fermentation or contamination. The American IPA was old. The other beers that I tried were OK, though. I especially liked the Christmas beer. It was spiced with a typical mulling spice blend (orange peel, cinnamon, star anise, and clove).

Wir haben einen langen Wandertag hinter uns und es war eine perfekte Möglichkeit, einen großartigen Tag abzurunden. AUSGEZEICHNETE Auswahl an lokalen Bieren - wünschte, ich hätte etwas mit nach Hause nehmen können. Sie können auch Essen in der Sportbar auf der anderen Straßenseite bestellen, was wunderbar ist, da das Café eine viel intimere und entspanntere Atmosphäre hat. Die Sportbar ist auch gut! Nur nicht dort, wo wir nach einer ganztägigen Wanderung sein wollten. Toller, einladender Service und Personal. Es fühlte sich definitiv so an, als wären ein paar Stammgäste vorbeigekommen oder hätten nur Hallo gesagt, als sie vorbeikamen. Ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass sie auch Wein und andere Spirituosen hatten.

The Barrel ist ein uriges kleines Café mit der besten Auswahl an Bieren in der Stadt - SIE BRAUEN AUCH IHR EIGENES BIER! ! - tolles Essen, und um das Ganze abzurunden, können Sie dort einen tollen Kaffee bekommen. Die Angestellten sind super freundlich und es ist ein Ort, an dem Einheimische und Reisende genauso willkommen sind wie jeder andere. Eine großartige Mischung aus Gast, exzellenter Atmosphäre und den Mitarbeitern, die wissen, wovon sie sprechen.Ein absolutes Muss in der Stadt.

Absolutely fantastic!! The staff was extremely friendly and just overall great people (and considering we are American tourists, that does not always happen)! Their craft amber beer was probably the best amber I have ever had. I highly recommend this place!

We took a break from exploring Interlaken by bike at The Barrel Artisan Brew Cafe. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Make sure you stop here while visiting Interaken. Great range of beer and amazing selection of gins also. It was mid afternoon so we enjoyed coffees, hot chocolates, a few beers and some nibbles. They have a great location downtown. Definitely worth a visit!

Really enjoyable food and a brilliant range of local craft beers. We all had the schnitzel and it was excellent! One of those meals that just warms the belly and after a few beers we were ready for bed and another full on day outing tomorrow. Definitely worth stopping by here.Casual, relaxed and warm!

Very friendly staff. Large selection of beers. Only a 6 on tap, 4 of which are guest taps. So, 2 are there’s but they are well done. We tried both the DBL Chocolate Porter and the Cirta Blonde.

The owner brews his own beers, and they have a wonderful selection of beers. The serve food from the restaurant across the way, which I have also visited, and the food is excellent. Service is friendly and attentive. This is a great place to come and enjoy a few beers, a great cheese and meat platter, and relax with friends.

Yeah, we went to the Husi next door - but this gem is next door and is owned by the same people and shares the menu. This is more of a craft beer/gin/whiskey joint (and the owner brews beer next door - we got a private tour!) It's super laid back with staff that are on point and dedicated. Monika and Gabor (sp?) are hardworking, but they actually smile and have fun at work - that's a rarity in servers in Switzerland in my opinion. They've got their act together for sure. Food is the best in town (we stayed in town for 2 weeks and ate here probably 5-6 times?) Embarrassed to say this because I don't eat fries at home, but their pommes frites are not to be missed. Barrel brewing beers are just getting off the ground, but their Wingover IPA is tops!

During our two week stay in Interlaken we frequented "The Barrel" many times to enjoy the awesome beer selection and chill atmosphere. Europe is far behind the US when it comes to craft beer but this place is on the cutting edge. They have beers from around the world and it's clear that the management knows their beer based on the selection. Monica took good care of us and spoke perfect English. You can also order food here from their popular sister restaurant next door and avoid the wait. If you like craft beer and what a chill spot to hang out in Interlaken check out The Barrel!

We ended up here when we tried to go to Husi bierhaus. The Barrel is there "sister" cafe. They have the same food menu but different drinks menu.We had pork schnitzel and "alper makaroni " - macaroni cheese with potato and bacon! It had a nice relaxed atmosphere with friendly service and excellent food.

Always a good beer on tap..many on the shelves to take home. Good eats, good service. Mostly it is about the beers here. Craft beers made in house and on the rise!

Lage im Zentrum von Interlaken. Schöne Auswahl an Bier im Offenausschank mit lokalen Spezialitäten. Einziges Manko: die Klimaanlage läuft im Sommer auf Hochtouren und führt zu Schüttelfrost.

This is off the beaten path, but it’s well worth it. Family run cafe, so the owner took the time to walk us through the menu. Everything was fresh and delicious. Look for this place and you will not be disappointed!

My best friend and I were traveling all over Europe and this was our first meal in Switzerland. We both ordered burgers and had some wine with our meal. The food was so satisfying and tasted extremely fresh! The waiters were so KIND too!! I would have gone back for each meal if possible! :)

We only had one afternoon in town and stumbled upon this place. The beer selection is great and the steak sandwich was delicious. Our server (I forget his name but he is originally from Hungary) was very knowledgeable about the beer selection and very, very friendly. Would highly recommend this place!

Unser Kellner Gabriel war sehr nett und hilfsbereit und sein Englisch war sehr gut, was für uns hilfreich war. Hier für eine Weile gepostet, um WLAN zu nutzen, guten Kaffee und Bier zu trinken und die nächste Etappe unserer Reise zu planen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Ich habe diesen Rest / Cafe / Lounge vor ein paar Reisen entdeckt. Sie bieten ein leichtes Menü, bieten jedoch auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite weitere Menüpunkte aus dem husi bierhaus an. Der Besitzer und Braumeister Sheppi besucht in der Regel Tische und seine Mitarbeiter werden über die angebotenen Fassbiere informiert [6]. Gabriel, May und Monique sind freundlich und immer in Bewegung. Zum Verkauf stehen 70 Flaschenbiere und eine hervorragende Auswahl an Single Malt Scotch in der Flasche oder im Glas. Als ehemaliger Lebensmittel- und Getränkefachmann habe ich den Service genossen und auf jeder Reise ein paar Nächte verbracht.

Such an adorable place for a coffee or a beer, or in our case both. The food is also delicious - try one of the cakes! The best part though was the service. Gabriel was our server, and he was so kind and helpful!! He definitely made us want to go back again if we ever get the chance to return to Interlaken :) We highly recommend eating here or just stopping by for a drink and great service.

Dieses kleine aber sehr gemütliche und freundliche Restaurant bietet eine grosse und frische Auswahl an verschiedenen Getränke (Fernweh Garantie) und leckeren Essen. Man kann bei schönem Wetter draussen sitzen oder auch drinnen die gemütliche Atmosphäre geniessen. Das Personal stets sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit - immer wieder eine Freude dort einzukehren!

Wir waren mit Freunden und Kindern im Barrel zum Nachtessen und wurden gleich trotz vielen Besuchern herzlich empfangen. Die Angestellten waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und haben uns bei der Auswahl des grossen Biersortiments geholfen. Nur schon deswegen ein Besuch wert! Das Essen war auch sehr gut wir hatten Gulasch, Swiss Burger und Schnitzel, war alles perfekt und wurde sogar noch schneller als angekündigt an den Tisch gebracht. Preis Leistung stimmt ebenfalls, auch für Familien bezahlbar. Nächstes Mal kommen wir wieder wenn wir in Interlaken sind.

Ich bin durch ganz Europa gereist und habe nach den Craft-Beer-Erlebnissen gesucht, die ich in den USA geliebt habe. Endlich habe ich es hier gefunden. Eine fantastische Auswahl an Bier vom Fass und eine unendliche Auswahl an Flaschenbieren. Das verfügbare Kaliber des Biers spiegelt die Gäste wider, die es anzieht, und beginnt mit den Barkeepern. Um das ganze Essen etwas zu toppen, lenkt man Sie vom Bier ab!Kann diesen Ort nicht genug empfehlen!

Nur zufällig auf dieses tolle kleine Hotel, weil Husi Bierhaus auf der anderen Straßenseite voll war, aber vermutlich haben sie das gleiche Management, so dass sie die gleiche Speisekarte haben. Abgesehen von dem Essen hat dieser Ort seine eigene - Das Personal war warm und freundlich und gab großartige Empfehlungen und es gibt viele Biere in Flaschen und abgefüllt, so dass es definitiv etwas gibt, das zu Ihnen passt. Kann diesen Ort nicht genug empfehlen, außer zu sagen, dass dies der erste Ort ist, an dem ich esse / trinke, wenn ich noch einmal nach Interlaken komme.

Even after a long day of hiking, we drove to Interlaken to eat and drink at The Barrel three times while we were staying in Stechelberg. We travel a lot and we're from Colorado where craft beer and pubs are plentiful, and we can't say enough about how much we enjoyed the beer, the food, and the service at The Barrel. This is one of our favorite little haunts on earth! We so enjoyed our servers Winona, Gabriel, and Sandy and Brad the owners. There was always great craft beers on tap and every morsel of food was exceptional. The selection of beers to buy and takeaway is excellent as well. If you're a dessert connoisseur, make sure to ask what Sandy has whipped up--we had a lemon tarte, apple strudel, and snicker brownie that we still drool over when we talk about our time at The Barrel :D

Wir sind viel unterwegs und wir kommen aus Colorado, wo Craft Beer und Pubs reichlich vorhanden sind, und wir können nicht genug darüber sagen, wie sehr wir das Bier, das Essen und den Service im The Barrel genossen haben. Dies ist einer unserer Lieblingsplätze auf der Erde!Wir genossen unsere Kellner Winona, Gabriel und Sandy und Brad die Besitzer.Es gab immer tolle Craft Biere vom Fass und jeder Bissen Essen war außergewöhnlich. Die Auswahl an Bieren zum Mitnehmen und zum Mitnehmen ist ebenfalls hervorragend. Wenn Sie ein Dessertkenner sind, fragen Sie bitte, was Sandy aufgepeitscht hat - wir hatten eine Zitronentarte, einen Apfelstrudel und einen sickernden Brownie, über den wir immer noch sabbern, wenn wir über unsere Zeit bei The Barrel sprechen: D

The food and drinks were great here. The staff and especially Winona's charm made us want to stop in several evenings!

Spent 2 hours drinking local beer in a nice atmosphere and with lovely friends. place is nice, you can have local beer and also in the back you find a beer shop with artisan beer. some light food is available.

une superbe expérience! Il y a une belle sélection de bières, je vous conseille celles provenant de la brasserie d’interlaken située juste derrière elles sont excellentes! Les gérants sont adorables et de très bon conseil, séduit par l’ambiance nous avons mangé sur place (burgers) bon rapport qualité prix. Bref nous ne manquerons pas de passer vous voir dès que nous reviendrons à Interlaken !Bises

Awesome beer selection, friendly bartenders, loved everything about it. The bartenders helped us select the best brews from nearby breweries and were spot on!

Really tasty beers and good staff! Especially the blonde girl, she was very helpful! :) Will definitely be back soon.

We order three different burgers and all of them were delicious. Gabriel offered an excellent service. The craft beers and bottle beers selection are just awesome! Thank you soo much!

After searching most of Interlaken for somewhere to eat, we came across The Barrel. We were welcomed immediately by their friendly staff and made to feel very comfortable. We ordered a meal, which was very reasonable and extremely delicious. The choice of beers is endless! If you are staying in Interlaken, make sure you pop in here. This is the best place we have eaten and drunk in whilst staying here! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

We actually stopped here twice in one afternoon. Grabbed a quick coffee -- then returned for dinner. So glad we did. Great beer selection and wonderful service. Extremely friendly staff and so pleasant. The vegetable tart was very, very yummy - and so was the burger! Decided to splurge and enjoyed the best schnitzel I've ever tasted apple - with fresh plums from the owners garden! Do NOT skip dessert! Just get there!!
