Huusbeiz in Zürich

It is a super nice restaurant. We made a reservation in advance for my friend's birthday during our trip to Zurich. There was a menu about asparagus that night. The chef was in the middle, explaining asparagus in a way that all the tables could hear, while the service was being done. We had a great night with a very elegant restaurant and elegant presentation. .

Very nicely prepared and delicious food. Service is also top. Unfortunately, there are only a few days left as Huusbeiz will close forever on December 22nd, 2023. So take a look again.

I have been visiting the Huusbeiz for several years. I was also very disappointed on my last visit. Previously authentic, fresh, regional and now totally out of the ordinary, “Züri Snob” can also be felt here. Totally outrageous prices, food fresh and beautifully prepared, you can't say anything about that. If I have to search for a cold cucumber soup and a tartare almost in the plate and have to pay 15.- and 46.- Fr. each for them and as a woman (normal posture) I have to leave the restaurant hungry, then it stops. We waited a long time for the “cold” food. I'm not coming back.

The starter was ok, but the main course (a sausage) was greasy, and the overall balance of the dish was not there. To finish, the dessert was totally mainstream, absolutely nothing special. Regarding of the other comments and pictures, I guess we had bad luck, but I won’t come back for a second chance.
