KAIMUG HB Food Station in Zürich

Food particularly Thai is great and authentic, but the service could use some training on how to treat customers

Unprofessional staff. Not fit for serving customers. HB store is a disgrace to the chain.

Beware! You can't trust their recommendation if you have food allergies. Additionally when you return to inform them of the issue they don’t care much.. Price is good.

For me personally (as Thai people), I think food taste quite original as much as they can find the supply chain for ingredients. The services from Staff (Khun Nang) was great and warm. Pricing is value here in Switzerland.

About the ambience: It's just a fast food restaurant with takeaway. It has 4 different menus and a number of things on the menu. Simple, quick but good.

The food is good. Unfortunately there is a bit little in the normal portion. The staff is friendly. However, sparrows have been flying around the kitchen and dining area throughout the food station for months, which is very disgusting to me. Therefore 5 stars only when the problem has been fixed.

The food was delicious and mouth watering. We loved the fried rice, and was made just like we had asked. Mathor was really nice and made yummy food. The customer service was amazing.Overall, 5 out of 5!.

I like the food, the staff is friendly and attentive. Currently (May 2023) the small rice or noodle portion is available for CHF 8.50. It's quite good for me in small portions, I'm really grateful. Great value for money for Zurich.

I am really surprised by low reviews of this place, the food was tasty! Big portion, fresh ingredients, you could taste nice flavors! For Switzerland standards I do not think is expensive + such a nice option just on the train station! Lady working there was super helpful, I appreciated my time there a lot! With all my heart I recommend to go there and try!

very tasty and good portions, service is quick and effizient, i really dont understand what the complaints are about, working in HB and serving drunks/people in a hurry can very quickly wipe a smile off the face of the friendliest person, so if you are here to write a bad review, consider your own attitude first. Thank you for the tasty curry and being quick enough that we make it to the train!!

The food at Kaimug always tastes good. Unfortunately, the staff at this branch is very inefficient and unfriendly. Even though I was the only person in the store, I had to wait over 10 minutes to be served. Meanwhile, the two employees were cleaning a shelf. When they finally wanted to take my order (1x rice that was already ready, i.e. serving would have taken about 30 seconds) I was yelled at that I could only pay with cash. So after more than 15 minutes I left the store without food. It really wouldn't have been that difficult to mention that before I was kept waiting so long. Otherwise you could also write a small note.

A completely over-salted vegetable curry. The packaging is leaking.

Cashier and cook was rude and unprofessional! Food was ok but given how many food vendors are in the near vicinity, save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. The cashier claims the poinz loyalty app can be used for one point per receipt/purchase when all other vendors (Spiga etc...) base the points on amount of purchase i.e., 1 = per CHF20 spent). Communication was in German and then we tried English. Then we just left very disappointed.

We Asked the cook to dispose our Thai green and (large) red curry after we eat 2 spoons of a salty substance with Rice. Horrible.

I think the red Thai curry is very good, the price is right too, I always come here for it. I find the service here to be 100x friendlier than at the branch on Löwenplatz, where really unspeakable staff work.

I usually have a lot of respect for food and hate returning it or not eating it. But... Here today I ate the most disgusting Red Thai Curry I have ever tasted. Also the Pad Thai was terrible. Everything tasted stretched and not fresh. The fact that it was sometimes slimy didn't make it any better. Then there's the fact that the portions are huge. It still wasn't worth the money. After a few forks we returned everything and the cook only replied to our complaint with a dry “sorry”. My mother is still sick. (1 hour after "meal".) Thanks but... Never again.

The taste is ok. But the quantity of prawns in the wok dish was ridiculous. For almost 5 extra CHF you get five tiny prawns.

They sell boiled noodles as fried noodles.

The older worker is so incredibly rude! If you go through these reviews, a lot of people say the exact same thing. It's unbelievable that Kaimug doesn't do anything about it! Service zero!

Three employees, two of whom sit together where the guests should actually sit. The employee who stands alone at the counter is completely overwhelmed. According to the employee, there is a waiting time of over 15 minutes for an a la cart meal (with two customers, one of whom ordered a meal that was already ready). The employees are usually very unfriendly, food is often prepared during peak times (lunch and after work hours). For me it was definitely the last visit to Kai Mug, luckily there are enough good alternatives at Zurich main station who work a lot quicker and friendlier than the ladies at Kai Mug.

Food is okay but I got tofu with rice instead of duck with rice.

Good food, but the cashier was very rude and impatient! She actually rolled her eyes at me when I double checked that my order has only tofu in it. Very bad experience if you don't speak German.

Extremely unfriendly service. On the last visit I received chicken fried rice instead of veggie fried rice. Today it was just unfriendly, I poured an extra large spoonful of “spicy” into my food, even though I emphasized that I really only wanted a little. There was no response to my comment that it was far too much. Afterwards, a lot of laughter broke out in the kitchen. I can well understand that with so many guests, friendliness and patience can sometimes be lost. But what I experienced here today was just extremely unfriendly. Another visit? No thanks!

I bought a small menu for Fr13 today. A small bit of rice / really little - approximately a spoonful. Some meat and lots of sauce. When I got home I had everything in my bag. I make it up as a total rip off

Unfortunately I have been disappointed several times. The fried rice with vegetables and tofu tasted like it had been expired and rancid for a few days. It's a shame... I've had stomach ache several times. Please increase quality. Maybe not 3 tons before cooking for the whole day. Lg

Dear Kaimug team So far I have been more than satisfied with the food that I got for lunch from you. However, today I was very disappointed. My Pad Thai was orange in color and tasted like nothing. I also missed the peanut crumbs that were always included. I hope I'll have a more positive impression of the food next time.

Order food through the Too Good To Go app, very convenient, get a lot, delicious, impressive price, beautifully packaged, complete with paper towels and spoons, receive it and eat right away, still warm. Ordered fried noodles at the takeaway earlier, once vegetarian and once with chicken. At home the surprise for both of them was fried rice. Despite asking the lady twice, she didn't understand how to pack the right things. Second surprise, unfortunately the taste is at its lowest point. It must have been there all day, as bland as it tasted.

The service was poor, the food was cold and the vegetables were completely raw.

First of all, a positive note: large portions! BUT... I have rarely eaten something so tasteless. There was no salt or sauce at all. It's a shame because it was freshly cooked as a wok dish with lots of vegetables and turkey. It had nothing to do with Thai food. I would rather have half the portion and something that tastes good. So I gave up after just a few spoonfuls. Now that I've taken it with me on the go, I'll whip it up again at home.

Spring rolls in the Coop taste better and the fried noodles weren't even fried.

Where not bad to hire someone who can De OR En... The employee easily said it was just a little spicy, that was wrong, it was very spicy. My God.

The fried noodles were very fresh and tasted delicious. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy. The iced tea was very refreshing. Unfortunately the employee was unfriendly. Otherwise absolutely recommended, as contact with the seller is limited to a minimum.

Very bad service from a saleswoman. We wanted to order something shortly before the end (about 30 minutes before the end), wanted to choose something because we didn't know the restaurant, it took 2 minutes and the saleswoman said in an annoyed voice that she had to do it (30 minutes) that's why we decided to go there didn't order it and walked out of the restaurant.
