Thanks to a friend who recommended this fabulous restaurant, my family and I had a great time. Each dish is incredibly delicate with perfect balance! The food may have had good flavor, but unfortunately the poor service and lack of air conditioning overshadowed any positives. With only one server and potentially one cook, the wait time for our food was over three hours in the sweltering heat. We had called ahead to make a reservation, but were not informed of the broken AC. When we asked the server about it, he seemed annoyed and refused to provide a clear answer and stated “My boss would kill me if I said” Save yourself the trouble and look for other dining options in Geneva. There are plenty of better choices available.

Having wanted to come following the article published on the Gault & Millau website, we were really not disappointed! The setting is very nice and original, with beautiful wall frescoes, and we had a great time, with a particular mention for the Pisco Sour Nikkei cocktail, the tuna ceviche with wasabi, and the lucuma and black sesame ice creams. The dishes are colorful, well presented, refined, tasty, and we loved the concept of each taking several dishes and sharing them. The dishes are also designed to be easy to share. Also a special mention for the service, friendly and very competent. It is (unfortunately) rare to have a waiter who knows so well what is served on the plates, and who gives us so much advice on the order in which it is best to eat the dishes, which dishes could go with the cocktail if we haven't finished it, the first dishes arrive, etc. Another very positive point: the red wine by the glass served at the right temperature, and not at counter temperature as is unfortunately the case in many other places, including restaurants with high price ranges. The same goes for green tea taken at the end of a meal, the water was at the right temperature for this type of tea. In short, it’s a very beautiful address that really took us on a journey! Be careful, the bill adds up quickly by taking several dishes each, but contrary to what I have read in other reviews, I find the prices justified given the quality of what is served, the service and the setting.

the lomo saltado comes with polenta that is crispy on the outside and complements it well, it really was tasty. be careful if you dont like tenderloin at medium temperature. I personally didnt like that, as I usually prefer somewhere between medium and medium well. it would have helped to know the tenderloin was going to be cooked to medium. the service, atmostphere are very nice as well but from the dish I had I dont really see how it commands the price tag.

I and my friends had a very bad experience. Perhaps because we were black? ‘Cause at the phone, apparently everything went well and once we got to the place, the attitude changed. We were told we couldn’t be served per menu because we were much than expected (11 instead of 9). And if we insisted on having a menu, we would pay a huge price. Apparently we didn’t look like people who could afford the « standard » of this place. Which is not even up to a 5 stars restaurant/bar. So they said we would pay 100 chf per person if we wanted a menu, fine. What is in the menu? They couldn’t say anything succinct. I have been to many restaurants and bars in Geneva, which higher standards and I have never felt so mistreated all my life. We were even told to be careful not to break the glasses while moving on the table to make some space for our « extra » invites…I even lack words to express the whole drama. The effrontery. Since we had ordered drinks already we decided to drink them and go eat somewhere else, at Zanzibar to be more precise. And, the customer service is nothing to be compared with Kampaï. They should treat people better.

RACIST! From the moment we walked in, an ethnically mixed group we were treated with disdain and looked down on. The host Laurent, refused to give us the full menu and asked us only to order from a certain menu that was “cheaper”; he actually asked us to only order from the starters menu and then asked us to state our budget as he wondered if we could afford the options on the menu. I have never in my life been to a restaurant where you are asked before ordering to state your budget. He brought all our drinks late, and told us what we could eat and told us specific things to eat. We decided to leave as this treatment was horrendous and he could sense that and even told incoming customers that we would be leaving soon and they should wait downstairs. We brought a cake for our friends birthday and he was upset about that, and asked us to pay to have the cake stored. It is a shame that in 2022, you are being judged on your skin color and Ill treated because of it. I would not recommend any one go here and even apart from the racist treatment, the drinks are terrible and the menu very limited. Not worth the price or attitude.
