Good restaurant, although they can improve

Had a very nice simple vegan meal with 3 different Chinese dishes including tofu. Well cooked, well presented and very good portion size for two. Once finished we were served a small complimentary fruit plate made of fresh pineapple and orange segments which was a very nice and refreshing touch. We enjoyed this very healthy meal 👍🙏

The best Thai beef salad is definitely here. In less than 45 minutes, you can order, eat your meal and pay the bill which is quite perfect when I'm at work. The employees are all professionals and gentle, you can ask them anything if you have allergies or if you need any information. If you are as me from Geneva or a tourist, it's truly a must-go : plenty of delicious Asian meal (meat, fish, shrimps, veggie even vegan), nice spot and very well located.

Very terrible; I was there with my friend regrettably. A guy took our order and delivered to the table. Whilst we were eating and discussing; a woman with short hair(seems like their manager), wearing a frowny face moved towards us poured our drinks without saying a word to us and left, after about two minutes; she gravitated towards our table to ask "Are you done" ? While clearly seeing us eating. We couldn't pretend to be comfortable; so I called them to pack the remaining food as takeaway. The lady brought the takeaway plastic and started packing the left over right in front of us, on the same table we were eating. This service and treatment is beyond poor and inexcusable. It is safe to say they are not welcoming to those wearing hijab, there were other people who came in the same time as us, but were never bothered as we were.

Very nice place, delicious food n cheap

Two person for two rather simple and classic dishes: rice with char Siu, mapo tofu. If you are expecting authentic Chinese cuisine, zhong tong might not be the one for you. None of the dishes were authentic. And we were both quite sick after the food. It was expensive as the food was not delicious at all and the cooking and ingredients technically were wrong. You can tell the recipe was definitely not Chinese authentic just by the skills and ingredients. Perhaps it’s not authentic because the restaurant would like to adapt European expectations of Asian food. And yes, they have Thai and Vietnamese food on the menu too. I do love the vibe and the staff in the restaurant. They did pay attention to detail. Just coming back to this review page, seeing the way this restaurant reply low rating review is a bit shocking.

Then one of the workers came to ask us in an inappropriate way, we had finished eating, and she still saw that we had not finished yet and that our plates were full. Curry shrimp is amazing and vegetable fried rice is so good!!

Extremely disappointed. I ordered a Singapore style noodle dish. The noodles had a burnt taste, it was bitter, tasteless. I swallowed half the dish because I was very hungry and I love this dish. I crossed the city of Geneva because Google had told me this restaurant had the best noodle dishes in Geneva. In addition, the waitress is not friendly at all. No smile, almost angry because it seemed like someone was bothering her. The restaurant is old, dark, ugly and when you leave it your clothes smell like frying. I'm really disappointed. Absolutely avoid. There's better than that in Geneva.

I must say, this Chinese food experience ranks among the least enjoyable I've encountered. Despite selecting this establishment based on its rating, the actual experience fell far short of expectations. The quality of both the cuisine and service left much to be desired. The gentleman with glasses stood out as the only polite individual among the staff. Unfortunately, the remaining workers displayed rudeness and were quite loud as they chatted amongst themselves in Chinese within the confined space of the restaurant. Our order consisted of various dishes, none of which met the mark, and the portions were notably small. This experience left me feeling truly disappointed.

Very good restaurant, clean and delicious food

I go to this restaurant often and I am never disappointed. The dishes are good, tasty and generous. The service is also going very well, I often see bad comments about the people who work there when there is nothing alarming. It is a restaurant always open with non-stop cooking. They are humans, they can't always be smiling. We all have the right to moments that are more painful than others, especially in the restaurant industry. You have to stop taking things personally and against you.

Highly recommended for a delicious and quick lunch! Service was quick, they refilled our water and clean up the table without us having to ask. Food was amazing! We got mapo tofu, crispy pork belly, spicy noodle, and fried rice with shrimp. Everything we got was delicious! Water was chf 1 per pax, but we didnt mind at all cause it was refillable (we drink lots of water). Toilet is also clean. Definitely stop by this place for good asian food! Price was standard for the area, we spent chf 86 for 4 people, and were all super full

i ordered today mix crispy porkbelly and duck and fried noodle with beef for me and my wife and i paid 2 CHF extra for crispy pork instead of sachio.! but i got sachio and crispy pork, where is the duck??My wife she does not eat pork because her believe but she ate those sachio not knowing that those are pork!! she did not know that. BAD BAD BAD ever. ( I got compansation today with tasty food and im happy to hear their apology)

I would absolutely recommend for a lunch downtown Geneva ! Service is quick and food is really good. My favorite was the steamed shrimps dumplings. We spent 77 CHF in total for a starter and a main dish each, but there’s the lunch menu at 20 CHF.

Great service and fab food! We had the dumplings to share and the crispy pork belly followed by salt and pepper prawns and shredded beef in chilli sauce and would highly recommend all of them! Friendly staff too. A bit expensive but not excessively so. Enjoy!

Succulent dishes, I have to go back for the basil beef on slate. That a friend took who looked great. A bit cold in the restaurant but given the situation... The kiss that evening and the temperatures outside... Nothing unusual... I would go back with my eyes closed.

Do not go. The staff is rude to foreign and colored people. I went there twice in the space of a week: a waitress of Chinese origin stared at us then threw the receipt on the table. The 1st visit: carafe of water not charged, the 2nd visit: charged. They offered fruit to all the customers present except at our table. Explain that to me… The toilets are unsanitary! I won't set foot there again and I'm happy to give you some great and great publicity for free :).

Delicious huge portions! Best Chinese food I’ve had in ages.

It's been a long time since I came back but honestly not at all disappointed! I always had the chef's Chinese soup and often came with my colleagues. This time I came with my family and the soup didn’t change in quality at all! Always excellent, light and tasty. My children had the rice with duck, good portion with vegetables, good value for money. My companion had chicken fried rice but the quantity was not sufficient compared to the prices but the taste was there. This was the only small downside otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. The boss seems cold but maybe that’s her personality but not mean at all! She has never been rude and has always been very professional and accommodating! Received shrimp chips at the start and fresh fruit at the end of the meal which was very enjoyable without extras. There is no charge for the carafe of water. I recommend without hesitation.

Very nice discovery, it's a very good restaurant where I came for the first time. We took the menu for 48chf and it was worth it. The restaurant is full on weekends but if you go early you won't need to reserve a table unless you are a group of 5 or more people. The dishes were delicious from start to finish, the cooking was perfectly measured. This is perhaps one of the best Chinese restaurants I have eaten at.

I had lunch there for the first time this week. The restaurant was crowded. I had a really delicious shrimp ravioli soup. Everything was exquisite: the broth, the very large ravioli with a thin, soft and delicious dough, the perfect vegetables and noodles. It was a wonderful discovery and I look forward to going back. In addition, the price was very affordable, for this quality! Thank you so much !

A little disappointed with the dish of the day, even if the price is attractive and the formula interesting (2 starters of your choice, 3 main courses of your choice for chf 20.-). My wife had the fried noodles with shrimp, quite good, as for me I had the duck rice; a lot of fat, cartilage but in the end quite little meat and a slightly bland dish. The spring rolls were small but tasty, although made mostly of cabbage. We were disappointed with our last visit. Pleasant end-of-meal note: a few fresh slices of pineapple and orange are offered. Next time I will find out about the house specialties. Rather friendly service.

Always a great pleasure to eat at Zhong Tong. The quality is always there. Fast, friendly and efficient service. I've been going there every month for 4 years and I don't understand the bad reviews on Google. Some customers may have too special expectations... or are sometimes very arrogant, rude... perhaps that's the problem... Treat the waiters with respect and your meal will turn out wonderfully. Each time we pass by, our neighbors and we leave the restaurant happy with the desire to come back... Thank you for all these years of happiness spent with you! We will come back again and again!

I have been a regular client . However , last time service staff was impolite and grumpy. Food was below average . Deeply disappointed and sorry to say I won’t be going again.

When I was there last Thursday with my colleagues, I experienced the worst service ever in Geneva. I have never seen such rude waitresses with angry faces in any other restaurant , even one of them was throwing plates at the table instead of laying them quietly. When we politely asked her to relax, she got more agressive. I was so embarrassed before my guest. I was shocked to be told by one of the waitresses that if I, with my 5 guests, would ask for tap water instead of mineral water, I would be charged 1 Swiss Franc for each glass of tap water!!! I will never ever go there.

Went with my wife last Monday. Among various dishes I had no. 406 roasted duck and pork. Was very disappointed about this particular dish as the duck was absolutely NOT FRESH, TOO DRY AND LOOKED/TASTED LIKE FRIED ! Believe leftover of the week-end ...!

We remembered from last time that the quality of ingredients were excellent so we ordered again and we are delighted with all the food once more! From the Thai beef salad to the duck noodle soup to the ginger fish, the portions are not only generous but the meat / fish are so tasty. Thank you to Zhong Tong also for adding a surprise « anti-Covid vitamine » dish to end our dinner 🍍😊🙏🏻 我们吃饱了、谢谢你们！

Seems like a family owned and run place. In summer they have a pleasant terrace out on the sidewalk that offers enough shade. I ordered a type of crispy beef with vegetable in a sort of sweet/sour sauce. Was tasty. Didnt see the inside of the main restaurant. The location is off the beaten path away from the main tourist areas. Still very central but prices are fair. They do try to go the extra effort. I ordered my coke with ice and actually got a coke with ice (not so self evident in Switzerland). After I finished and asked for the bill they offered me a small fruit/dessert on the house which was a nice friendly and appreciated touch. I would visit here again and can recommend this place
