I enjoyed my dinner here one evening. Reasonably convenient to my hotel (CitizenM). The service was friendly and attentive and the food and wine were good too. I managed to snag a table outdoors on a nice evening and perhaps not surprisingly (given I arrived when they opened) to find that the other patrons out there were all Americans. I started with some sauteed veggies and moved on to the seafood risotto.

Truly authentic Italian meal who deserve more attention. Food is superb and service is excellent.

Very nice and cozy place. Very attentive waiters which are very helpful. In my case I told them what I would like to eat (ingredients ) and asked to be surprised. They managed nicely :)

We stumbled across La Citadella by accident on our first night in Geneva and we were so glad we went in, as it really is a hidden gem! The restaurant is quite small - we were one of only two outside tables on the night we visited, which actually added to the experience as it made it feel like a quiet, intimate setting. The food was incredible - we had a caprese salad and carpaccio to start which were both fresh and delicious. The mains were all fantastic as well with great flavour - I think the particular highlight was the duck ragout ravioli which went down an absolute treat, the sauce in particular. I also enjoyed a great mojito! Our waiter was so friendly and personable and went through a lot of the menu with us, offering suggestions and answering questions. All through the service he was so helpful and really made the experience a great one! I would definitely recommend La Citadella to anyone looking for a top-quality Italian dinner in Geneva.

Booked for a table for four on Sat 10th of June for Mon 12th , only to get there and to find we had obviously been bumped for a table of ten , that's why I am writing them this poor review , don't trust your booking and dont go there ! Simple!

Absolutely delicious Italian food. The tagliatelle was fresh made and served in a fantastic prosciutto, cheese and sage sauce for 29chf. Was so flavorful and the pasta was to die for. Service was also fantastic and if we’d had room, we would have tried dessert or the house limoncello. Would absolutely recommend, especially if you’re craving pasta.

Five star experience. I dropped in on a Tuesday evening. The entire menu is in French, which I don’t speak. Waiter walked me through the specials, when I didn’t see something I loved, he asked me what I liked. The chef offered up a beef dish that was fantastic. I didn’t expect for a special dish, but appreciated the offer. Will definitely come back to see what’s next.

They are far from Italian standards The copy needs to be completely revised both in terms of starters, main courses and desserts. The server is friendly and attentive but that doesn't make up for it

By chance, we returned there, 25 years after our first visit... still just as magical. A small restaurant, on a human scale, tailor-made... The boss in the kitchen, has great mastery of his products, his menu and is very pleasant. We are in Italy. In addition, in terms of service, we take great care, even if the restaurant and the terrace are full, he is alone, very professional, kind and keeps his humor. Really, what a pleasure, atmosphere, dishes and wines!

Very small Italian restaurant serving traditional dishes. Good dishes, rather small quantities and overpriced prices. Green salad charged 12.--, tagliatelle with tomato sauce 29.--. Yes, we are in Switzerland and Geneva, but there are limits...

Simply wow. This is a friend's favourite Italian eatery in Geneva and I was lucky to be taken to it. It's a small cosy little restaurant with absolutely fabulous food. The wine was smashing too.

We happened to pass by this pretty restaurant and were attracted by the calm and romantic atmosphere of the outdoor terrace. I had the Al vongole pasta... it was a pure delight. The sauce is to die for! The service is warm and lively. Ultimately I highly recommend this restaurant both for the taste and the atmosphere!

Beautiful authentic food and wonderful service. An example of going above and beyond for customers. Everything from starters to mains and dessert was fantastic. If you have the space, get the tiramisu you can thank me later.

Among the many restaurants in Geneva, this is truly the perfect place. It is a perfect Italian restaurant that replicates the taste and texture of ingredients in the Italian style. It may not be for those who like Italian food with strong seasoning, but I hope you will feel disarmed at this place. For Primo (appetizer), I ordered grilled octopus that could feed 3 people. The fresh oil and just-just-right-cooked soft octopus legs were truly delicious. All of the main dishes were excellent. In fact, one of the advantages of this house is that it is located on a hill, and it is quiet and makes you feel like you are in Italy. There aren't many outdoor tables, so it's hard to get a seat at an outdoor table unless you go early.

Delicious and succulent. A bruschetta full of flavors to wait for the dish. A simple dish of eggplant agnolotti on a bed of tomato sauce and small vegetables. Perfectly mastered. We sauce the plate. A goat's cheese ricotta with pistachios, served in a pot, a treat. All this with a glass of red wine from Puglia (Primitive), perfect for lunch. A smiling and very light service with a wonderful Southern accent. Thank you for the welcoming.

Typical Italian flavors in Geneva. An excellent idea in season is the possibility of selecting the mushrooms with which to compose the dish. Enjoyable Apulian wines. Swiss prices.

Authentic Italian restaurant with a fresh menu every day and a tiny terrace. There is also a wine bar, the advice is extremely well-founded. I had mussels baked in half the shell and, upon request, pasta arrabbiata, really delicately seasoned. The chocolate dessert was good and looked fun.
