La Croix-Blanche in Gruyères

The staff is very friendly and motivated. Unfortunately, it was very loud and the fondue was a bit bland and the portion was also rather small, which didn't fill us up completely. Otherwise a top restaurant.

We went here to eat. The staff was very unfriendly and they said they only speak french. Only french in a touristic place… can’t believe. So in the end we only had drinks and then went to another place to eat. Again, unfriendly staff.

Restaurant that I can only recommend. The boss is very nice and smiling. The kitchen is very well served and hot if you take a hot menu. I you Recommended White Cross Steak 😇😇🥳

Warm welcome and very friendly service! The dish was delicious: tender and well seasoned meat then the crunchy and tasty vegetables. To finish off, a scoop of ice cream with whipped cream! We had a lovely evening and a good moment of conviviality between two couples, we all loved it!

Steack Croix Blanche (320 grs) of very tender meat for a very reasonable price. One Sunday at noon without reservation during the hunting period everything was done to welcome us with a smile. It's been 12 years since I last came back but still just as good THANKS

The meat on slate is excellent and very tender. Very above not homemade fries. The wait for the food was long, 30 minutes. The waiters were rude. The tartare was not excellent, it lacked taste. We asked for a plate several times but got nothing. Too bad there is no sauce for the meat. And the boiled vegetables were not good. But it’s still excellent.

Good morning, We had a very bad experience at this restaurant. The waitress (a blonde woman) was particularly inhospitable and surly with us, annoyed by the slightest question and the slightest desire, so much so that we got up from the table and left without eating. The limit had been largely crossed. When you don't like customer relations, it's better to change jobs. We had come with a severely disabled person to have a good time with family, not to be treated like this. You have therefore lost 4 Bullois customers. I hope that the management of the establishment will take note of this opinion. Sincerely.

It was very interesting and beautifully done. There were simply too many visitors there.

The service was friendly even though we could not speak French, however we did notice we were the single only table without a flower vase. The premium beef wasn't as tender as I expected- even though I cooked to medium rare. The horse was much better. The escargot are cooked in butter and very tasty.

Always a place where you don't hesitate to stop as soon as you pass by. Everything is great and the staff are very welcoming.

Everything was Perfect, from the telephone reservation, where we felt the Pleasure in the Voice. Arriving with 15 people, the Welcome, the Smiles and the Kindness were there. As for the Cuisine, the Presentation, the freshness of the products and the Taste everything came together to delight the taste buds.

A little noisy in the room....if not the other rooms are more welcoming but less airy....given the meat served on slate it quickly gets stuffy ☺️ I recommend this restaurant....really fair prices considering quality and service. Parking spaces galore 👍

We ate really well, the service was great. The only downside was that it was hot and in their veranda with the windows open it wasn't necessarily easy to hear each other talking but in itself, there's not much they can do about it.

If you like beautiful cuts of meat, you will not be disappointed. But not only. One of the good restaurants in the region.

For the first time I really liked the food, the service, nothing to say, really great atmosphere.

Were 3 people. 2 children 1 adult. Horse steak, fries, vegetables. Nice portions for children. Impeccable meat, very good vegetables. Free carafe of water. Very good and well done. Only remark; the fries were not good. Oily and in my opinion the oil should be changed and used only for fries. Thank you and see you next time, because the staff is very nice.

We wanted to eat in this restaurant but we were poorly received. When ordering, the waitress spoke poorly to us (as if our presence was disturbing) and was not at all warm. We were surprised to have to spice our tartare ourselves (unheard of) and when we shared our feelings, the waitress simply said "if you want a tartare already spiced, you can go to a gourmet restaurant" eh well my dear madam, you don't have to tell us twice. So we left. Very disappointed with this service, but hey this restaurant is famous for its meat but also for its bad service!

This was BY FAR my best meal ins Switzerland. Food in this country is very mediocre and expensive, but this restaurant has excellent food, very interesting dishes with lots of imagination and prices that are within reasonable for the place. Definitely recommended

A great spot if you are going to Gruyeres. The menu du jour was very reasonably priced and delicious. Our party of 10 ordered a few of those, some salads and two orders of fondue. Highly recommend.

We took a 500 gr beef rib. each, served with fries and vegetables and frankly it's a pure delight! The super good vegetables, the crispy fries and the super tender and good quality meat! A piece of Gruyère and Vacherin Fribourgeois included in the price completes the meal. The service nothing to say! All the waitresses without exception were welcoming, smiling and efficient! I recommend this restaurant 1000%. I strongly advise you to book before going because it is very often full.

This is my first time going there, but certainly not the last! Nice modern setting, friendly and warm welcome... Their specialty is pierrades with different meats to choose from (beef, chevak, lamb, pork)... These are of quality and copiously served, accompanied by excellent fries (or other?) and small seasonal vegetables. I highly recommend this establishment!

An exceptional meat restaurant, a unique experience awaits you. Cooking on a granite plate is a concept that I have never seen before. They bring the still raw piece of meat to the boiling granite plate and the meat cooks before your eyes!! So you can manage the cooking! The pieces of meat being very tasty are super nice!

Rude service!!! We asked for a mini meringue on ice cream and she gave us a large meringue with double cream!!! The waitress calls us liars!!!
